did you check to make sure the capture card is selected?

maybe you accidentally connected you dvd player or used input instead of output?

easycap user, make sure that your usb port is 2.0

maybe your using a mac, and macs just suck

did you install drivers for you capture card?

or maybe your using Xp, and your capture card needs to be on vista

did you make sure that you installed correctly, if not, reinstall or try winavi or avs video recorder

@TheRawAnonymousGM Try re-installing the program. And the 32-bit Sony Vegas is for 32-bit computers only and the 64-bit Sony Vegas is for 64-bit computers only. Depends on your PC.

@TheRawAnonymousGM 32-bit uses only 2 GB of your RAM while 64-bit can use upto 8 GB of your RAM. If your Windows or Operating system is 32 bit then you can't use 64-bit software and also if your RAM is only 2 GB then its better if you use 32 bit

@oAzHD s-video by far. If you use composite and you have s-video its a big waste. S-video means super video and the quality is a lot higher and the text is sharper.

@hotbrawl With any capture card, it's not possible to hear your own voice when your recording because it only records the volume coming out of your TV, and obviously you don't hear yourself.

@killerzwad80 Try running it as administrator. Right-click on the InterVideo WinDvr icon on your desktop and click Run as Administrator, (it sometimes works) if that doesn't work then just try to google a serial.
