Why can't fisherman use sustainable techniques? Why can't i use a hook and line? Sustainable= a bs scenario implemented to accuse all fisherman of this injustice while benefitting those whom wish to bring commercial fishing into extinction. MESSAGE ME!

Fishermen in FL, USA are demanding and begging for an increase in mesh size to drastically reduce bycatch by over 96%. They are continued to be denied. The ocean and its inhabitants are the least of concern to personal interest and agenda. Why is it small time family fishermen recieve the brunt of the punishment? Look towards laws implemented towards the fisherman.

@hectichorse Did you know current fishing regulations in FL implemented require fisherman to use a net with a 98% bycatch rate? Do you realize if the FWC and CCA raise the mesh size by one inch, bycatch / sellable rates would be adverse? This video speaks of purchasing sustainable fish. How can fisherman have a sustainable fishery when in some cases, gear to allow sustainable fishing is unlawful?

Stop global freezing !!!! Global warming does not kill fish, but rather the cold !!!! Thousands of pounds or perhaps millions faced mortality during a freeze last week on the Outer Banks of NC !! The extent of the fish kill will be deemed logically accurate with approaching warmer temps ! So far, fish kills have been reported to an extent unimaginable ! Dead species floating statewide !!! OVERFISHING ???? lol

I am being told by biologists that i am overfishing, yet my landings are the same since i started fishing over 15 years ago, have seen no population decreases and billions of tonnes of juvenile fish yearly. Seed for the future. Yet i am facing laws driving me to extinction even with less than a half a percent of bycatch rate and have never caught a turtle of dolphin in my life. Fish pops. are not the argument, special interests are. The CCA is behind most of these interests, rec. fish alliance !

There is agenda by some groups like PETA and Pew Foundation to demonize fishing and hunting of any type and ultimately ban these sports worldwide. Sportsmen offer an important contribution to both Conservation and finanincial support, as well as the best data collection possible.

Tilapia raised aquaponically can feed the planet all the fish we need without destroying the ocean. With aquaponics, their "waste" is a useful fertilizer instead of a pollutant. It's not too late to save the oceans but we must make it a priority.

The U.S. goverment pays billions of dollars for farmers to not farm with subsidies, Some that recieve these payments are just rich land owners have never farmed. They need to subsidies these fisherman to lower their catch rates.
