It's a shame that actors like Costas Mandylor and Scott Patterson aren't more well known.

Costas has become one of my favorite actors after SAW IV and V. He just has that detached personality and you view his character as someone you'd want on your side you know? You'd hate to have Detective Hoffman as an enemy.

But overal Costas Mandylor is one of the most underrated actors in the industry.

I think Hoffman will be the apprentice that believes the most in the Jigsaw ethos. He doesn't seem insolent and self-centered like Amanda, nor is he bogged down by vengeance like Kramer (yet as a "celebrated lieutenant" he's just as calculating). Remember the good long look he gave Rigg upon his failure? As cold as it was, I thought Hoffman was disappointed with Rigg; he wanted him to pass the test not only as Jigsaw but as a friend...but like any procedural cop he had to follow the rules.

I wonder how he got the part in Charmed "Saving Private Leo?" LOL J/K He's awesome no matter what he's in. lol I tell you one thing, he's a very versatile actor... going from playing a small town cop... to a murderous ghost... to his role in the Saw films...
