dude you should do some lessons on some of these techniques, i would love to learn some of this stuff. I can't quite figure out the breathing pattern. Especially love 1:39 - 1:57, how are you making those animal sounds?
circular breathing, there are lots of little tricks to get the hang of it. Best one i heard so far is doing it in 3 steps.
1. Fill cheeks, and push air out only with cheeks to train them and get used to the feeling.
2. Do step 1 while droning but without bothering to inhale.
3. Once you have step 2 down try inhaling while pushing out the air, you can always try it without the didgeridoo first so that you can have a smaller air vent to practice.
BIt of everything...mostly alone, but did few workshops with my favourite players, went to some didgeridoo festivals, but most important practice and practice...
envy, didgeridoo isnt that common here in belgium, or I dont know many ppl yet. Started out not to long ago, nearing 2 months now i supose. Got the droning down, circular breathing, but lacking some personal pointers to work on sounds. Leads me into aimlessly trying out all sorts of things haha, led me to some weird stuff, some even useable, but nothing authentic
Every try playing inside an underground parking garage? Or a tunnel. The reverbing sound you get is amazing. Try it the next time your out and about with your didge :D
@QuietSparroww i go to a parking garage in my town and go to the middle floor of it and play at night when theres no cars and it sounds fuckin awesome.
@pegelito well, when playing the didge what you hear is quite different from what everyone else hears, the bathroom acoustics allow you to hear what others hear.
The Bathroom... Best acoustic you ever! also the storeroom isn't bad either
