I'm a trainer and would never give those exercises to any cients! He was straining his neck way too much through the whole thing; there is too many ways to screw your back and body up doing these as exercises.

and I guarantee all those know-it-alls who just do pullups, pushups and crunches have some crazy protracted shoulders, weak transverse abdominals, weak VMO's, weak rear delts, tight pecks, useless glutes, tight/weak hams and dominate quads. Learn a bit about biomechanics and you'll learn that continuing to do those 3 exercises will not make you stronger or more efficient at anthing except those 3 exercises. If you know everything, why aren't you a professional athlete?
