She should have done her time. She made the choice to get involved with a drug dealer and break the law. I have no sympathy for her. If she can get clemency you might as well grant clemency to all who have got involved in drug trafficking.
I happened to be researching today and ran across Kemba's myspace page. It reminded me of many years ago when the Emerge article came out. Her story I shared with the young women I knew who were potential victims just as Kemba had - of men and the system. The joy that I felt to see that this now, woman, has survived and is sharing with other young sisters and brothers. She is a survivor, a warrior and we should all learn by her example of determination and STRENGTH to survive. Bravo Sistergirl!
Kimba Smith is niether a warrior nor a survivor, she`s a money laundering drug runner like her boyfriend. If anyone is a warrior it was her now dead ex-boyfriend, it was him who forced Kimba to leave him and go back home. But even after all this, knowing what they were doing was criminal and also knowing that they were wanted by the F.b.I and that she was pregnant, Kimba refused to leave the criminal life until forced. Then of course when she was caught, that`s when she started playing victim.
Sounds like to me you don't know what warrior nor a survivor is. Dumb and ignorant people like you are the reason stupid people get undeserved attention. Who are you to pass judgment upon this sister? You don't have anything positive 2 say so U are irrelevant to this issue. Obviously your dumb ass can't read bcause had you known better you would know certain things about what went on. So do everyone a favor and go put a bullet in your mothers head for not going through with your abortion.
So your making judgement on me makes you a hypocrite then?, I had an opinion that was not directed at you but like the typical ignorant sister you probably are you couldn`t resist to embarass your sorry fat ass in public. It`s Kimba boyfriend who should be called a warrior, he knew the bull was getting deep, so he had to pry Kimba the "thugg lovin princess" from his jock and send her back home to her parents, in doing so saved her thugg lovin life.
See what I mean.....you dummy, you can't get anything right. Speaking of saving a life...I am sorry I told you to kill ya moms because I wasn't aware of how ass backwards you are. You would have put the bullets in the wrong way and shot your damn self. You couldn't possibly recognize a warrior if one stabbed you in the chest with a spear.
After much reflection... I must say that you do have a right to your own opinion and I did come off hard for no reason. So I will be the first to offer my apology and wish you know ill will.
I have chosen to share with my 18 yr old daughter who has just started her 1st semester in college away from home. I pray everday for her to make wise decissions and pray that her choices will lead her to a glorious life.
She did not have to put her story out here the media picked it up and ran with it. The media was there for the negative aspects of her life and now she is able to share her side from her perspective. People are often judged by the mistakes that they make, but no never by the actions they take to correct them. Kemba's story is a good one that
I don't think she is being put on a pedestal. She is simply trying to let youung women know the dangers of low self esteem. Her story should be a testimony, which it is in her strength and courage.
It's amazing how this woman is put on a pedestal just because she served 6 1/2 years in prison and was pardon. Was it fair that she got 24 years. Maybe maybe not but one thing is for sure she made a choice to live the life she did with a drug dealer and I'm for one am glad to see she went to jail and served time. I hate drug dealers and people who associate with them.
You must have had your heartbroken by a redbone, or either one has shattered your ego by telling you "it was terrible" or maybe "I don't feel about you, the way you feel about me" or just maybe...... you are a faggot and you can't stand pretty women because you perceive them to be a threat to your gay ass segment. Grow up and start hating, and quit being a snobby bitch, hoe as punk.
the only reason she dated this dude was because she didn`t feel pretty compared to the other girls on campus? you gotta be kidding me, she`s just a hi class thug lover like a lot of black women are today an plus there`s that double standard in the judicial system were women doing the same thing that the man is doing gets caught and that so call love they thought they were in goes out the window,an they start blaming the dude for why there running with um in the first place.
Thanks for your honesty and "keep it real", but you should know that black females NEVER want to take responsibility for their actions. They are forever blaming the big black (boogie) man for their fucked up life choices.
lol, funny but so true, one thing the host omits from the kemba smith stories is the fact that the guy she was running with started having second thoughts about bringing her along and had to force her to go home to her parents, a moved that saved her life, but he lost his days later, but these other black women who look at her as a "victim" rather then assailant dont even mention him in good light but just being this very bad influence that she being a women couldnt help being drawn to.
GO KEMBA! I remember hearing your story as soon as I came on Hampton's campus as a freshman... your story was always stuck in the back of my head while I was at HU and was a constant reminder to keep my eyes open and to use good judgement. Thank you so much for your courage! God Bless!
