@prplcheetah I didn't see what the others wrote, but i believe that you gotta have an basic understanding of music and past blues artists. Otherwise, a person can go up there, screech some horrible notes, chew on them for too long, and bruse the lyrics. But that's my personal thought. I've been a singer and musican for at least 7 years.

One of the things I love about Joss is that she doesn't seem to try to upstage people, and I think she certainly could if she wanted to.  I saw a video of her just singing background to some local chick in a pub somewhere in England and she seemed to be having a ball. Check out the version of this song she did with Johnny Lang in 2005 for Herbie Hancock's "Possibilities"
