@TheOneAndOnlyMe92 wrong - the harder it gets to try new things that you've never done before. it would be harder for me to start speaking spanish now that i'm 16 compared to when i was 10. however, since i've been playing piano since the age of 4, those neural pathways in my brain have been constantly reinforced with positive feedback. because of this, i can play piano better as i get older. moral of the story: practice makes perfect. peace...

I remember the chords, keys and notes, but I'm not the only one who's finding it harder to learn new songs the older you get because in the end, I haven't learnt any new songs since 2008, so technically learning new songs IS learning something new, as you've never played that song before, just like learning a new language.

@TheOneAndOnlyMe92 How old are you - just curious? no, i definitely see your point. all i'm saying is that with consistent practice, previously learned methods can be improved. obviously, the more you learn and the older you get, the more potential there is to lose it all by not playing for extended periods of time. most of the songs i know now i have learned since 2008, but i'm guessing that i'm also a bit younger than you, so that's probably why :) anyway, best of luck with your playing. peace

@thoneyYunes Try by figuring out how the hands correspond to each other. Let's say your left hand is playing a pattern and it will play an A when you play the right hand chord C,E, and A. That's how I learned it.
