these guys are great. not as good as metallica though. is the drummer better than lars? at double kick, yes. but they just don't have that feeling that metallica has.

and i like james' singing a little more.

They will never get big as Metallica even if they are better. They do the same songs and that keeps them small. If they made new songs in the same genre they would kick *ss. + they need better recording equipment. But still they are so good. Does let me think of the early Metallica years ;)

Metallica is my favorite band of all time, and I obviously wouldn't have cheked out this performance if I wasn't a Metallica fan. He did say that actually unfortunately. An interview just after the album came out he said he can't keep the double bass going and keep time, which is why they never played it until like 2 years ago and he doesnt do the double bass when they plya it

@rocafella142 Trapped under ice isn't as fast or as constant. It's not the speed Lars lacks, it's the stamina. He can't play very long because he get's tired faster. Thats partially because he's older. It's just fact mate, there's no other reason to take it out because the song lacks greatly without it.

@cormermusic Trapped Under Ice and Dyers Eve the bass are both 16th notes and it's they're both relatively the same bpm. Trapped Under Ice is even more constant becuase he plays the bass 16th notes the entire song except for the short breakdown in the middle. Lars now yes he can't do it. He plays 8th notes double bass in Trapped Under Ice nowadays. But back then he played the 16th notes live. I'm sure he could of played Dyers Eve back then. James didn't want to. Rob is the one who suggested it.
