Livin' ain't easy & times are tough

money's scarce we all can't get enough.

Now my insurance is lapse & my food is low

& the landlord knockin' my door.

Now last night I dreamed I died

undertaker came to take me for a ride

I couldn't afford a cask and burn was so high

I got to my sick bed 'cause I was too poor to die, now ain't that blue?
