I spent a fair chunk of my slow holiday at work today learning and practicing writing Persian. I wasn't able to find a nice video of someone actually writing the language until I found your videos! I honestly just wanted to learn how to read the arabic / perso-arabic script (I'm a big language nerd...), but after watching these superbly thought out videos, I feel like I actually want to learn Persian now. Xodâkar is the more common word for the thing we normally write with (usually a ballpoint). Qalam can also be used in this sense but less commonly. For special types of pen, e.g. a calligraphy pen, qalam is the usual word.
