  • the new grill is hideous. the euro accords grill options are totally better looking.

  • This car is called Honda Accord in Europe

  • This car is a real gem, not much of a looker but it gets the job done

  • Such a great car, very good review

  • just got one few weeks ago. love it!

  • the 2009-present Acura TSX is assembled in

    Sayama, Japan

  • MUSIC in my right ear... TALKING in my left ear. WOW that's awfully annoying.

  • @chawlaybua I know :/

  • i just got this for my first car with tech in it i love it

  • my friends mom has this car.. but in silver i lovee the smell inside !!! (:

  • I miss my integra, but still loving my tsx!

  • From someone who actually owns this car

Couple of things I don't like

    1. can't see the navi screen when the sun is shining directly from the rear.

    2. Engine ping (knock sensors need to be replaced)

    3. passenger seats squeeks loudly for some reason

    4. Rear speakers will blow up sooner or later, it is a serious issue with this car

    5. Break pads fade out in under 20K miles!!!!!!! Buy aftermarket break pads

other than that, a pretty reliable and good bang for the buck luxury entry car.

  • @Jamzkangster u should have bought a Honda Accord EX-L v6.. has most.. & i do mean most of the things the tsx does. like navi blutooth, voice command, leather, sunroof.. 6 disc changer, premium system, a subwoofer.

  • hes not saying anything?

  • I'm a contestant in the Acura Compete Like a Pro contest and am in 5th place with only 3 days left to vote! I will win the new TSX wagon (absolutely awesome car! I'm an athlete and also do volunteer work so I need reliable transportation. Watch my video on why I should win and how to vote Thank You.

  • I think this car is up there with Audi/VW and maybe just maybe 3 series BMWs

    problem is the badge...

  • Would you want to spend $52,000 in the abstract on a car that looks like this? Well guess what, thousands of cars on the road are looking like this. Why? Because were copying the concept style.

This is why we have to change the automobile buying experience by asking customers how they like the exterior. How they like the interior. What types of designs do they like. What colors do they like? It's like designing your own home interior going over a floor plan.

  • dude your a douchebag.

  • my friend has this i love it :)

  • the front looks like a honda

  • @dretro23s same people make em, thats why their similar

  • @dretro23s Thats basically because it is a Honda with a Acura grill and badges its the European Honda Accord just rebadged a Acura

  • ur video sound in in mono only the right side works...

  • i didnt know he had paws...

  • under 30 grands?? Not really

  • we have this car and love it

  • The Current TSX is kind of a disappointment for me. It got too heavy, they added a V6 with only an auto, and the wagon is only available with the 4 cylinder and auto. They should have made a Type S with the RDX 's turbo 4 and stick available.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

    Shut up!

  • @KatiushaVN4

The first generation TSX was more fun thats all I'm saying

  • I happen to like the acura grill on this car

  • he looks so small standing to the car at the end, lol

  • The front is very nice, but the side appearance is lacking style appeal.

  • blah...blah...blah... The previous 2004 to 2008 TSX is still a better looking and handling car. Period.

  • look at the civic...i mean acura tsx.

  • @klassik18 it looks nothing like a civic... if anything the prius is the only car that looks like a civic

  • @BaronvonRichthofen i hope your joking. Its on the same platform and has the same headlights. The only REAL difference is the A for Acura instead of the H for Honda. Its the same car.

  • @klassik18 Acura is longer, doesn't look like a tampon on wheels, and doesn't drive like the engine is made out of cheese, especially not the V-6 model. Also has a different body style, interior layout and stick shifter. You could mention that it's the European Honda Accord (same model.. American Honda is bigger cuz American's like things big) but not the Civic. Don't talk to me about Rice Racers either, those types of ppl don't come into consideration here.

  • @BaronvonRichthofen Ricer Racers are stupid, and an Acura TSX is not a ricer (however a stupid guy could make it one), The interior is nicer on the Acura, but thats cuz it cost $30,000, while a civic costs $18,000. For the extra $12,000, you could save it and buy something that is its own car like a BMW or a Mercedes-Benz. Honda laughs all the way to the bank with Acura, and people need to stop letting them.

  • @klassik18 The TSX V-6 has more power than your ever going to get in a Civic unless you customize it, also it's slightly bigger and looks more sleek on the outside (that's what u get for 1200 more). The BMW 3 series isn't in the TSX's range, that's more TL territory so don't bring them into a TSX vid. Versus VW (TSX main competitor) it does a fantastic job and gives you what you paid for. Japan knows how to give u deals I could rape an R8 with a GTR for half the price, German Engineering my ass.

  • @BaronvonRichthofen The BMW 128 kicks the shit out of the The Euro Accord...I mean TSX. Given what you pay for you are getting a Flash Gordon civic, its a horrible deal. The new Buick is better than the TSX if you are looking in terms of value. The feel of the German BMW is better, the quality is better, and the warranty is better. I still have 2 years left on my 335xi's bumper to bumper everything covered warranty. Who still uses Single Overhead Cams? Oh that's right.....

  • @klassik18 I've got nothing against German cars, owning an A5 myself I really love the quality you get from their machines. However.. many cars costing half as much have more features than the 1-series. Also higher horsepower BMW = higher insurance being a luxury car, you will end up paying more overtime on a 1-series than a TSX. Besides, BMW is known for it's sporty appeal, Honda hasn't made a sporty car since those NSX days so horsepower rly isn't something to consider for those buying Acura.

  • @klassik18 You paid a lot more than a TSX could ever cost for that 3-series and if you wanted to debate that, I would have to bring in the 2010 Acura TL (in the 3-series class) which looks terrible btw. I'm not arguing that the TSX is better than the 1-series, they aren't even in the same class with the 1-series being more sporty and all. All I'm saying is that the TSX isn't a Civic because of it's size, looks, available options, interior quality, power in the V-6 and yes brand name.

  • Comment removed

  • @klassik18 Brand means a lot to some ppl but I'm sure we both know that already. Acura is Honda's luxury division and that accounts for something, even if it isn't their best car by a long shot. It's an entry level luxury vehicle designed for competition with VW, not the 1-series.

and.. i wouldn't buy an American car if my life depended on it.

  • @klassik18

In the nederlands the Accord euro (this TSX) just has been chosen to be the best car in his segment, so I realy don't understand what you are complaining about.

No Honda does indeed not use the Acura brand in Europa, because back inthe late 80ies and early 90ies they cross-shared 50% of British luxury brand Rover and never feeled need to launch a second luxury brand in Europa.

And euh... As a matter of fact, the US TSX is priced less then the EU Accord, due to $devaluation...

  • @FrightfulAccountant Sooooo it was badged what it should have been the whole time? So your not paying for a badge? OK, then I got no problem with it. What I do have a problem with is the people that buy Acura's and look at me like they are hardasses because they drive an 'Acura'. It is not anyway prestigious to buy something that tries very hard to be prestigious. Just because you put lipstick on a pig doesn't make it a lady.

  • @klassik18

and again I don't understand what your problem is.

The car looks good, performs more tyhen good and is equiped to a standard no German car can match. This car is good value for money, great money!

If i owned one, should i be proud at it? Yes!

I always liked Hondas, they have made some of the very best cars of the last 30 years.

  • @FrightfulAccountant Can you read? I wrote what my problem with the car in plain English. You can claim its a good car for its segment, and that great, but segments of cars are jokes. There are so many segments of cars it could probably qualify for like 3 different ones. If you buy a car based on value for your money, fine. I buy my car for how it drives, and my BMW drives better than an Acura TL or any rebaged Honda that claims prestige. How many different ways do I have to say that?

  • I don't know why so many people think the front end & grill are ugly...I happen to LOVE the style!

  • I have one of these in the uk as a Accord, Its a great car.

  • **THE ONLY WAY I WOULD BUY A CAR....THAT LOOKS LIKE IT'S.....GRINNING AT ME...IS THAT THE PRICE WOULD BE SOOOOO GREAT...I WOULD NOT EVEN...CARE**

  • Really nice.

  • For all you Front Wheel Drive haters this is the car that won SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009.

  • am i the only guy think this car is way uglyer than the last generation?

  • I owe more on my Nissan Altima then what its worth. My credit is very good since when I purchase my Altima. I am looking into purchasing a new or used acura. Do u think they will be giving me problems when I go to get the car?

  • Ugly slow bloated POS for idiots.

  • I'm a pretty smart "idiot", thank you for calling all of us TSX owners that. You're VERY ignorant!! This car is GORGEOUS! Inside and out!! I have a black one with black leather interior, and with the chrome accents, makes this car even BETTER looking. Fantastic mileage, and a real head turner, too! I will swear to you, I have had MORE POSITIVE comments and compliments on this car, mostly by people I DON'T EVEN KNOW!! I Praise GOD for Blessing me with such a beautiful automobile!

  • @alans1960 same here, black on black looks so nice!!!

  • Ugly, bloated, slow, ugly and an accord.

If you hate cars, buy this

  • he's tiny

  • ugh they need to bring back the nsx

  • i've always wanted an Acura TSX..

  • why would they say that the V6 is giving in to america's obsession for huge engines... cars like the v6 accord and camry have been around since before I was born. If you want to see japanese giving in to stupid americans wants take a look at the civic si

  • I WISH Acura would make a TSX based coupe with the 6 speed. They are losing a bug share because there are STILL many people who want a sportier coupe than a 4 door sedan.

And that god awful grille on this TSX and the TL. Ughhh

  • @joeyoseppijoe Acura isn't known for being sporty... that's Infiniti, Lexus being the fluffy division. Acura falls somewhere right in between. If you want a sporty car, get an Infiniti g37 coupe

  • @BaronvonRichthofen

doesn't Lexus have the IS and GS and the IS F and LFA?

  • @MrAutodome Yes but the IS/F doesn't even compare to it's price competitors ( M series and RS4). The LFA does have some speed.. but it looks really fucked up, especially that gap in the front. Lexus is mainly for people who like slow comfy cars and talk like Sean Connery.. "I own a Lexxxusss."

  • new grill in 2011...hopefully

  • I've got this one on a loaner right now....and it drives awesome....

One thing the reviewer does not talk about and maybe its taken for granted for this version is the music system.

The DTS Surround sound system is pretty solid... I enjoyed my drive even in heavy rush hour traffic . It went like a breeze

  • ya fuel efficient alternative to the G37 because it's got a measly 200hp engine.

  • Doesn't feel like a measly 200hp engine, trust me. I had this car for a loaner car and it actually felt more then 201. I think its due in part by Acura making it a low torque engine like the 335i.

  • This guy is a smuck - he likes it compared to the old clean cut suit TSX - give me a break. It's like the older 5 series BMW versus the bangle butt new 5 series - give me the clean understated model anyday!!!!...this guy is a butthead. I'll take it over the uglier TL though.

  • This car has been sold in China, named Spirior and carried a Honda badge. I have one and it's nice.

  • like the older model exterior look better

  • Comment removed

  • the guy is speaking but there is music on the video

  • just got one as a rental while my RL got a new transmission, its sooooooo nice. has a great kick when you floor it too

  • I really do like this car...I just think it looks too much like the TL...there's nothing really distinc about it other than less power in comparison to the TL

  • @futureBLESS fuck u

  • these cars really really need to be a rear drive acura's the only luxury company that uses fwd and awd only no rear damn

  • Audi?

  • nice, but anyway I still prefer something from Mercedes BMW or Audi for the same money ;P

  • yeah, keep saying that, but you can't afford none of these either.

  • great car

  • Indeed great car.

But some of the things I didn't like was just the front. But I DO like how the lights are sharper in a very mean look. Rear lights very nice. Love it. I kind of regret saying that 2009 TSX and TL sucked for a bit, but they're starting to get to me.

Acura should stay FWD, planning to get a 2009 TL or TSX (someone needs to refer which one I should get) soon. Especially in the snow, most of the cars have the rear stuck in the snow.

  • Subaru for all wheel drive in the snow?

  • Lol you're referring a Subaru to an Acura enthusiast. I DO like Subaru besides Acura, but I'm not the type of person for smaller Sedans, sizes like the Acura TL, I personally prefer those types of larger sedans. A good friend let me spin his Subaru, love his muffler.

  • By the way, its an Impreza, like EVERY other Subaru :P

  • He only had to do well on one shift when he was showing off the engine and he couldn't even do that right.

  • 2010 Acura TSX w/ technology package :DDD

  • also, after seeing the entire 2010 Acura line in person, this is the only model I think the new fug ugly Acura Shield Grill doesn't look too bad on; it is on a smaller scale on the TSX and doesn't take over, or shall I say, overpower/take up too much of the front end like it does on the RL, MDX and especially on the new TL and RDX!!

  • Agree, the Shield on the TL model is too big, and the head light is too small. TL is a good car but the exterior disappoint me a bit. However, TSX looks really good.

  • I have a 2008 TL, and I've had this car as a loaner car a few times and it is really sporty inside and outside; the handling is absolutely one of the best I've ever experienced and it even handles better than my TL which has a shitty turning radius; the ergonomics and build quality of the interior were top notch and it felt even a little bit more put together than my TL; probably cause TSX is all done in Japan and TL is mostly done in Ohio

  • its more lyk a honda accord !!

  • acura tsx = euro honda accord

  • i thought it was the acura tl

  • @trapazza ill take a acura any day over a honda.

  • @trapazza yea i saw this car driving down a street in italy and was like wait... honda emblem???

  • @Poptronic

Right. This Acura TSX in USA is exactly same as Honda Accord in Japan. Honda Accord in US is Honda Inspire in Japan, just FYI.

  • damn this car is pretty hot. I like it a lot better than the older one.

  • i will once the big 3 bring all their plants back to the USA...They gave away our jobs.

  • @mogul1265 I see plants in my area everywhere, I live in Michigan so we're the motor city but yeah, they're not ALL gone. But it's the people whos buying these cars that are giving away our jobs.

  • honda accord

  • no the european car is an accord. they dont have acura only north american markets do. in japan the car is an accord also. our accord is called the inspire. rebadging is dumb in my opinion. doesnt matter who makes it. just how good the car is.

  • the tsx is an accord

  • this guy still probably drives the integra....lol

  • and you probably don't even have a car..doh

  • Is Acura Subaru in europe???????

  • Its either the Acura tsx the Lexus IF or The Infiniti whatever it is of course the Audi BMW and the Mercedes Benz are better there just too expensive in todays economic shape. And the Japanese Luxury makers i think do a fine job.

  • acura made a mistake by taken out the rsx type s they need a sports car in their line up and tsx should of never grown bigger another mistake gosh honda should hire me i can make them million hahahahhahah

  • they don't hire idiots who use bad grammar.

RSX is a sports car? ROFL.

  • it really has lost its edge..i wish they could come out with a 2010 integra..=[

  • i miss my teg :(

  • @higherbrainpattern They seriously do, or at least a new RSX. It's a shame they dropped it after '06. With the new designs Acura is putting out new, a new sport coupe would probably be sick (but also probably start around $25K) since Acura's kinda shifting more into luxury car prices.

  • @higherbrainpattern

A new Integra should have pop-up headlights again ^^

  • @higherbrainpattern FUCK YEAH MAN, i have 1991 teggy with 200,000 and i still redline it sometimes >D so edgy to drive, when i drive another it feels like they will flip, the integra has so little body roll even with stock suspension

  • @rvasquez6089 gotta love the teggy!

  • The new TSX looks beautiful . But the base 4 cylinder engine should be more powerful ...

  • Comment removed

  • I like this guys voice. It's very distinctive.

  • I really like this guy. Really enjoy his reviews...

  • I think it looks good, the grill has got to go though! Trash it, hes right, its lacking that edge that the old TSX had! And im with him, I still have my Prelude and wont dump it off but want the comfy luxery ride now!

  • nice car!

  • i love the design of this vehicle but i love it better with a honda tag.....

  • The first tsx looked better for some reason I dont really know it just did.

  • Interior Looks Like A Cockpit Of A Plane; Complicates Right Away.

  • when it zoomed out at the end, it made the guy look so tiny lol

  • they need to do something with the grill. not so much on this car, but the TL. it looks like a big gaping hole in the car.

  • Man, all the hondas overseas look so different than they do here in NZ.

  • Engine sounds like an Civic SI. Nice.

  • previous gen. head lights and tail lights were better. Just my preference, this gen. is still very nice.

  • im sorry its ugly last gen was better

  • i like Anadolu

  • i like the new TSX generally but the new grill looks so totally assy I cant stand it.

    Ergo no-go.

  • jkt992, your comment is laughable in the face of the current collapse of the U.S automotive industry.

Why is it that the rest of the world can see that the Japanese and Europeans make better cars than the U.S but you can't? Loyalty is one thing but your comment is just plain wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I like some American cars (used to own a 300C) but to say they are better made than Japanese cars is simply not true.

On build quality alone this Acura would leave most American cars for dead.

  • If you were to read my most recent comments you would clearly see that I was kidding about the whole 'Domestics are better than Japanese' thing. Honda is my favorite car brand. I have owned only Honda's in my life and I don't plan to change that. I hate domestics, adn sometimes I just wish GM and Chrysler would disappear instead of trying to compete because they're wasting time like that.

  • My bad. Sorry for carrying on then. I guess I should read all posts before lecturing someone on the misguided nature of their comments.

I'll be more careful next time.

  • why do countries in europe likes to combine themselves when they compare to other nation such as Japan? It isn't bad enough to be compared to just German or Italy, but Japan has to be compared the ENTIRE EUROPE?? Countries such as France only makes a few brands of cars... don't fucking glorify Europe as if is is just one country.

  • Ok some French cars a pretty lame I'll grant you that but in general my comments are still valid.

I find it kinda sad that a person can't adequately express themselves without resorting to swearing. Says a lot about a person.

  • Y would would he even compare the TSX to an IS or G37 sedan as a matter of fact. Both those cars have V6 engines with the G making a ridiculous 328HP and both those other cars are RWD. The TSX is a fine car but comparing it to an IS or G is simply insulting to those 2 cars.

  • Don't be insulted, the G37 has more hp then any car in it's class. That doesn't make it the best, it just makes it the fastest. As for the IS, for the same price you would pay to buy the TSX you would get the IS 250 that has the same hp as the TSX. For those people that need to have the fastest thing they can drive for the money they have, then yeah the G37 is the way to go.

  • You don't get the point. The TSX will give you the most for the money. G and Lexus is way more expensive. I own a tsx 09 for $30k and I try the IS but too much money.

  • My older CL was in the shop for a new transmission, they gave me this TSX as a rental. Oh man i had so much fun tearing that car up.

    I want one now!!!

  • in australia that same car is called the honda accord euro with the only difference being the grill, which is much nicer here and its also not considered a luxury car, cause acura doesnt exist here

  • you can just change the grille real easy and cheap. Its the car that matters. 4 banger with 200hp is serious.

  • hello immortal4942, I have tried to changed grills on my now older Mazda 3 and Integra, the grill sometimes dont fit very well, do you have recommendation which aftermarket grill to use? Thanks.

  • i have for 2009 acuras like for the TL. you need one for integra? you can use mesh grilles, they should work well.

  • He's right that it's a really good car, but perhaps the 2.3L turbo would've been a better entry engine for its price point.

I'd still like to see them get the 2010 3.5L model fitted with SH-AWD like the new TL for a performance sedan with serious merits.

  • rather get an 09 malibu or the older model tsx

  • Buy an Aveo then you socialist butthead ....its government owned now - so youre ready to roll...I heard it comes with a free bottle of vodka with every purchase.

  • My wish for this car is a wagon version with SH-AWD anf the RDX's turbo four under the hood, that combo in wagon or sedan would make a statement. Drove a 2005 and I like the smaller size or the prev generation but the newest model is still an appealing package....the TL looks awkward in comparison.

  • I drive an integra.......

I like the previous TSX better.....

  • the V6 TSX will be out with the 2010 models.

  • Honda sells this car as accord in europe

  • Comment removed

  • V6? Last I heard a TSX comes with a 4 cylinder K24 engine.

  • The V6 comes out in '10

  • ya i did some research n found out about it.

  • ehhh

  • They should make a CSX Type-S with a 250+ hp version of the K24, 8500-rpm redline

    oh yeah!

Honda NEEDS to sell the Acura CSX in the US
