all the videos I have seen are of black raspberries growing like black berries (in bunches of main stalks) but my black raspberry just has 1 lonely main stalk that is now ( late september) about 10 to 12 feet tall with about 15 branches comming off it.

I have not pruned yet as I live in canada and I have heard that leaving pruning for spring is safer (winter damage etc.)

how do I get my plant to give me multiple main salks? (only 1 stalk is in the dirt with alot of branches)???
