You should use redsn0w because the dev-team no longer is going to distribute quickpwn only redsn0w. Redsn0w and quickpwn does the same things but redsn0w has better comparability with devices.

I've read that ultrasn0w will be released on Sunday. The Dev-Team blog under redsn0w section has posts stating this was announced via twitter recently. Suggestion is to wait until Sunday before using anything with your iPhone or iTouch to jailbreak/unlock.

Yes, you can jailbreak on a mac right now with the utility we released. Windows users can temporarily use a mac for a jailbreak or they can hold out until the windows version is released at the end of July. Sorry. There are some issues with the windows iTunes that needs to be worked out. End of July is the best we can hope for right now.
