  • I was taught to eat sushi with the gari on top, so i'm really surprised to hear people complain about it as if it was a disgrace. I always thought it was supposed to go on top. The gari on top was always my favorite since it gave it a little kick on every bite, and I always thought the ginger by itself would be too strong. Whether it's the wrong way to eat it that way or not, I always prefered to have the gari on top. With that being said, I don't think I should be told on how I have to eat it.

  • Wow, thats a big cali roll

  • @Jamaicangurl81 That's what she said!

  • lol, sushi videos illicit a lot of pretentiousness... jeez. 1) who cares that she's Chinese, most of u people here are overweight, waponese Americans anyway. 2) It's sushi because of the rice, not because of raw fish 3) If you say that it's supposed to have the rice on the outside, you are wrong. It can be any way u want, the rice on the outside is just a reverse roll. 4) Who cares how she eats it. If she smashes it together with a fork and eats it with a spoon, the flavor is the same.

  • you're supposed to say itadakimasu.... not bon appetit

  • That roll is way too big, no wonder she didn't try stuffing it all in her mouth at once haha. And she should put gari on it if she likes it that way, but not tell everyone else that's what they are supposed to do.

  • soya sauce!

  • haahahaahhaahhaah

chinese then bon appetite, fucking priceless

  • Who puts the ginger ON the roll? Strange...

I always just use it to "cleanse the palate."

I don't mix my soy sauce with my wasabi either...never really liked that.

  • why?

  • that restaurant serves one piece of sushi like that?

  • they probably asked the chef to do that for the interview

  • GAHH this is sooo wrong! first off, why is a chinese culture connoisseur teaching us about how to eat japanese food? 2) why is that cali roll so big? 3) Cali rolls taste better if the rice is on the outside. 4) plz don't tell me she put the gari (pickled ginger) on the roll! you're sposed to eat the gari seperately and between bites of sushi as a palette cleanser!! Mojo has disappointed me!

  • the rice on the outside is a reversed californian roll actually and yes u are right about the ginger. I actually soak my ginger and wasabi in my soy sauce.

  • I was wondering those things too!

  • ya i agree with all that they disappoint me to :(

  • if its any consolation, every sushi place in my city is run by the Chinese. The owners, the waitresses, the chefs. All Chinese

  • What city do you live in if I may ask?

  • Grande Prairie

  • @junilwoo she can eat sushi however she wants to eat it. 2)China is very close to Japan, so I would assume their cultures bend together so she will know how to eat sushi.

  • a one piece of tuna Sushi costs about 60$ in saudi and it taste terrible !! but california roll is much cheaper and more delicious

  • This woman fails at eating sushi...

    WASABI -----> SOY SAUCE.

The ginger is supposed to be eaten after you eat a roll of sushi.

  • maybe she likes eating the ginger on top.

  • It's supposed to be eaten after, to get rid of the taste of the piece just eaten, so the flavors of the next piece don't clash.

  • Saeyoungyi is absolutely correct, though it is very good both ways, I prefer eating it after for the taste ridder effect, and yes that woman fails, AND she's Asian!

  • Wasabi to be japanese mustard sauce

  • that's not a ca roll neither......bs bitch

    sushichef jp

  • i agree, a california roll is a maki, made of crab, avocado, cucumber, and mayo.

and she should never top gari, on any sushi. she should eat gari, between eating each sushi.

  • recipe's are different for every resturant, and if you swearing on a youtube video, then you probably don't have intelligence to express yourself and your ideas without profanity, therfore too dull to be a sushi chef.

  • you right too. but i just like traditional sushi.....but no offence, most american just didnt know how to enjoy sushi....

  • Polock, a person of Polish descent.

  • Sushi is the rice. Not raw fish.

  • wow thats a big roll!

  • mmm..... i luv california rolls. yummy! anyways, wasabe is hot like a mother effer. but i luv spicy food! lol, id like to see her with he mouth full of food, that'd be some shiet to see.

  • Amen to that.

  • um, isn't cavier uncooked?

  • LOL i didnt know that the white part was rice rofl

  • you are not supposed to put the pickled ginger on the sushi. you eat it by itself to clean your pallet when trying another type of sushi like nigri or sashimi.

  • original japanese sushi is mega huge and they look like giant rain drops but they taste mega good

  • i love spicy tuna roll, california roll, green dragon roll, and shrimp tempura roll. Some people mistaken for sushi, it is not chinese its japanese. just like starrymaiden said, korean kimbab is just like sushi, except they use BBQ pork

  • try the salmon skin roll...its crunchy but good...

  • i dont like the kind with fake crab meat. i prefer real crab meat or unagi

  • California roll is makizushi. Sushi is not Chinese at all. It is more Japanese. If you want to refer to a Korean version of a similar type of rice dish. It's called Kimbab. Please don't blur the lines between Asian cultures.
