01. Holy Roman Empire was not the legal successor.
02. It is not possible to effectually distinguish between the later empire in Rome and the Byzantine empire centered around Constantinople. For the Byzantines were the Roman Empire, not simply a continuation of it in the East. Greetings.
America is new roman empire and russians are strong barbaric folc, we will destroy you legions, like germans destroy roman legions in teutoburg forest!
The Roman empire lasted even longer in a respect. The Holy Roman Empire was founded in 962 In Italy and included the Kingdom of Italy Germany Holland Austria and many many more Europe nations. And at the time was seen as a revival of the western Roman Empire. It was a powerful empire that united a very divided Europe it made nations out of tribes. It survived in various forms until 1806.
The reason why the west roman empire fell before the east roman empire is the simple reason that the germanic consentrated by most part on the western part.
The goths rampaged a while in greece and killed the east roman emperor and his army at Adrinople but they went west and eventualy sacked rome.
The Turkish conquest of Constantinopel in 1453 indeed was the end of the Byzantine Empire, the Italic Roman Empire didn't get destroyed by Turks, it was a balloon which spannen too much land, and bursted.

I too am familiar with the homo rites of Imperial Rome. Tacitus spoke of these. The legions participated in similar rites and augury in Gaul. Imperators Nero, Caligula, Tiberius, and Hadrian were all fags. They indulged in similar homoerotic buttlust, the likes of which were repeated in Byzantium, the homo rites of the ancient Caesars. They were all imbred caucasoid connoisseurs of the butt, embroiled in sodomy and incest. The Julio-Claudians were jaunty in hedonistic man-rape.
No more of fags or inbreds than those FILTHY Celts. The Romans merely TOLERATED homosexuality or bisexuality, which only meant it wasn't against the Law.
Celtic and Druidic sexual practices make hentai look like a church! Pedophilia towards both genders, bestiality, and ceremonial rape were all common Druid rites and practices.
@Vader993 You don't become a successor merely by looting and ravaging Constantinople, killing its emperor, renaming it into Istanbul and turning the jewel of Christendom, the Hagia Sophia church, into a mosque. That's just a barbaric act of conquest. When Constantinople fell, Russia inherited the royal bloodline, the banner of Orthodox Christianity, as well as a lot of cultural elements from the Byzantines (the cyrillic alphabet, etc). So, if there was any successor state Russia was the one...
@unapologeticmind Correction, Russia inherited Byzantine blood line by marriage, Slavonic speaking Russia filled in the orthodox power vacuum of "Byzantine" Greek speaking Rome, before the fall of Constantinople the Rus example 900's AD were not a power at all. ie Ruso-Byzantine Wars. Besides Constantinople was renamed to instabul in 1923 not 1453. Learn history with details ppl.
@StellandBlood Hardly, since the Germanic "holy Roman emperors" had no part in the succession of the Roman Empire (the last heir to the western Roman throne was deposed and his royal insignia was delivered to Constantinople). Don't forget that the Eastern Roman Empire continued the Roman state tradition in an uninterrupted line all the way to the fall of Constantinople. The Byzantines never even called themselves anything but Romans and no one else called them anything but Romans...
@unapologeticmind Again correction, Western Germanic Europe who wanted to claim the title of "Rome" called Byzatnines or Eastern Romans or simply Romans, not Roman Empire but Empire of the Greeks. Byzantium is a mix of indigenous Greeks & Hellenized (converts to Greek culture ex Thracians, Capadocians etc), Romans who were Hellenised, spoke Greek and Armenians. Due to the dominance of Greek language, Greek heritage in the Empire the Germanic nations of W. Europe tried to ursurp the title Roman.
@unapologeticmind I conclude that Byzantium was Rome continued in a different context everyone in the Empire had one name Romans, wether Greek, Roman, Armenian or mixed of all the mentioned 3 dominant bloodlines in the Empire. It came to the point where to be Roman automaticaly meant to be Greek and vice versa due to the fusion of culture, dominance of one language and mixture of bloodlines. The descendants of the Byzantine Empire is todays Greece who still reffer to them selves as ROMANS.
@unapologeticmind Finaly that is why historians coin the term Byzantine to distinguish the Greek Romans from the ancient Romans of Latium, they are the continuation of Rome but fabric of society changed. In the middle ages theres Greek Rome (Byzantine Empire) Holy Roman Empire (Germans) Frankish Empire that claimed the title Rome by Charlemagne (French Germanic) and Rome in Italy under the Pope... Go figure out which Rome were talking about LOL.
Quote : "it fell becouse cristianity turned a lion in to a sheep."
what does that have to do wether there was pope or emperor the religious ruler? In fact before the fall of the western roman empire the western emperor had more power than the pope so what you are saying makes not sense at least to me.
also the byzantines werent much of a tiger. they barley won any battles and the only reason they survived was because of crusades by the pope. also other changes in the empire such as military changes contributed alot more
"the byzantines barely won any battles" , pls read a history book.
Under Justinian and his great generals, the "byzantine" or greek roman empire reconquered much of the western territory who had fell to the germanic barbarians.
Basil the Bulgar slayer was a genius military leader that conquered much of the balkans.
The byzantine were great on the battlefield from most of their history muhc like their roman fathers.
"the only reason they survived was because of crusades by the pope" omg excuse me, you mean because of the crusades by the pope, that were requested by the emperor alexios, it was a gennius diplomatic move from the emperor.
and it only helped them recover some of anatolia for like 100 years, then another crusade, althoug withtout the pope's permision, SACKED constantinople, the migthiest city of the west, this was the greatest blow to the empire, so the crusaders did not save the byzantines.
Heh sure , your lion was already old when Constantine allowed Christianity and already diying when Theodosious made it the official religion.
the lion you mean bust be the western empire, wich in my opinion started its decline with the crisis of the third century since it had reached its peak with Trajan years before it was only natural for any civilization to fall.
In the east the empire surviveed another 1000
years, and it was a fierce tiger, even thoug it was christian.

Romans were superior to Celts in every way.
And to the racists and homophobes like ludachris, it was the GREEKS who endorsed homosexuality and the CELTS who practiced sodomy and incest!
And what is wrong with being Caucasoid?

To me Rome began in 753 BC on the Tiber River and ended in 1917 AD in the riot-struck streets of St. Petersburg.
Czarist Russia was Rome and Byzantium continued.
The Goths didn't destroy it in 476
The Turks didn't destroy it in 1453
The Freemason Communists destroyed it in 1917
The Roman Empire began with Romulus and ended with Nicholas II.
