I read the books now up to part 4 and they really got too far from the original.

its really bad they didnt bring up jagang or the imperial order. and the most crappy thing was that richard gave up his wizzard powers. is he stupid? i mean by giving his powers to nici he borke wizzards 3rd rule.

She has to make up for killing Richard and getting her han taken when she should've let Cara and Zedd get rid of Nicci. @danvyable I think so too. She just gets crap all season because she used to serve Darken and then Kahlan hated her for killing Dennee. Then Dennee came back and tried to kill her and she still wouldn't forgive her. Cara deserves happiness. I think she should find someone like her though. I don't see her getting all mushy like Kahlan and Richard. MordSiths don't get mushy.

I love how as soon as she sees Lord Rahl, Nicci is instantly terrified and has the "Oh crap!" look on her face. She knows she's going to die for a 4th time once Rahl gets her. He'll burn her like she tortured him and then his MordSith will get her. I would love to see that. I love Lord Rahl. I would love to be one of his MordSith.

If whoever is behind the show is smart, they will give the viewers what we want and know how much we support it. There is no better show on that network or on TV. Everyone loves this show. It will return.

just 1 thing - in an episode from season 1 the former seeker and his confessor came to the same conclusion - that their love would protect him, but he was still confessed!! im all up for the happy ending but it anoys me that these two episodes clash and dont make sense next tp eachother. am i missing some vital point?

Sister Nicci should not have a chance to be alive again .

She was already dead for quite a long time , she would be too cold .

Even the breath of life wouldnt bring her back alive if she was too cold .

I just think toward the end they made things MUCH more complicated than they needed be. Would have been better having 2-3 Sisters of the Dark who became fleshed out characters instead of freaking expendable stormtroopers

It's not that it wasn't a decent episode, but this and the previous episode were full of so many 'WTF' moments that didn't really get explained. How was Nicci able to confess Kahlan with her own Han? Why did Kahlan's tears form a new stone? Why didn't we get to see more of Sister Verna? What's up with Darken's waffling between good and evil?

I think if there was a 3rd season it would really start to veer off course - the first two novels had very defined end goals for the season to work towards a) Kill Darken Rahl b) Seal the Underworld after that, aside only Temple of the Winds and maaaaybe Faith of the Fallen have enough material to flesh out a season. My biggest disappointment was how wasted the Sisters of the Light/Dark were (really went downhill after the episode where Leo was killed)

@StewNWT 1. Because Nicci had Richards really powerful han right? She probably sucked into herself enough of Kahlan's han to use it against her- Han is han, you are not immune to your own han.

2. Kahlans tears formed a new stone because of her love for Richard, that is why the prophecy said as long as Kahlan is alive, the Keeper will fail.

3. We just didn't. Who cares?

@KathySama The Han thing still doesn't make any sense. In order to take someone's Han, it must be willingly given, or usurped by killing the victim with a dacra. More to the point, a Confessor's Han is different, and is of subtractive magic, which they never really talked about in the show.

Really I thought Nicci was entirely unnecessary in the last episode, unless she could have had a showdown with Verna. Yeah, about Nicci, I thought it was weird that she did not take the hint last time and start a new life- she just showed up out of the blue and wrecked things. It would have been nice to see Nicci and Verna together.

By killing Richard, Kahlan was shocked out of her confessed state...this in turn restored "the Mother Confessor's pure heart" (which wasn't pure while it was under Nicci's influence), so that The Keeper could only fail, no matter what else he did. Zedd thought that only by Kahlan's death could Nicci's touch be broken, but the bond between Kahlan and Richard are so strong that when Kahlan killed Richard she essentially killed herself.

There are actually 11 books in the series, plus a "young Zedd" prequel novella and an uber-type novel with the distant descendants of the characters. Also, there's supposed to be a new Richard & Kahlan novel coming out next year.

The final ep of season 1 concluded the story as if there was to be no season 2, although LotS had been renewed months before.

The final ep of season 2 seemed as though they were setting up season 3 (with DR and Nicci), although it looks like the show is cancelled. Dang!

@bleedinghearthero If you actually paid attention to the series, when the Creator sealed her lover in the underworld, she cried till her tear formed the first Stone of Tears. In theory, when Kahlan cried seeing her lover, Richard, dying, her tears formed the second Stone of Tears.

The Stones of Tears were the tears which the Creator and Kahlan cried, when both were of great sorrow from thinking of losing their lovers. One does not need to be immortal to create something. Or, if we're up to it, wait five years, hunt down the producers, rewrite, recast, revamp such to the point that we end up with a five-hour long film that has a similar ending and does this show justice.
