Finding the one's who can sing better and have their own sound is much harder. The wardrobe's kind of a throwback to the wardrobe of the 70's and 80's. I love these guys. They rock. Permission to Land is one of the best rock albums ever (falling behind to Blackbird by Alter Bridge). However, these guys deserve massive props on sounding almost just like the album version. Great job guys.

I totally agree! I use a Gibson Classic with 500 496 ceramic humbuckers ran through a Marshall AVT150 1/2 stack and split through an ABY to another Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier half stack. There's no other way to create that true rock sound if you ask me!

No, even after Justin got sober, The Darkness still wouldn't have gotten back together. He said that it was a combination of his addiction AND a lack of creativity within the group. He's stated before that he wasn't as happy with the second album. He also said that with Hot Leg, he wants to take it slow since The Darkness happened so quickly.

I think it's a "Justin Hawkins Signature". It was on the Gibson custom website a while ago. It's a very unique silverburst with tree of life inlay and vibrato, not just a normal silverburst. :)
