  • there'd be no more fucking lies

  • i will eat you alive

  • I think this songs would fit perfectly on In Rainbows

  • Hope this we be a regular on the tour. U K dates soon please!!!

  • My fav 'head song! YES!

  • Just FYI... Jonny does play the Ondes Martenot (he owns two of them, I think), but what we see in this video - and in all live videos o Radiohead - is actually a French Connection, an instrument crafted by a company called Analogue Systems (after Jonny's request) which simulates the control interface of real Ondes Martenot, but without the sound generation devices, and thus, smaller and better for traveling.

  • @gpeddino cracking knowledge there

  • 2 people are def O_O

  • i am the 400 to like it (y)

  • the old tele /gib...strange choice of guitar for this style of music, notwithstanding the versatility of a humbucker and a single coil. no idea if he's processed or going pure into that ac/30. this band is all over the map yet narrowly focused at the same time.

  • What type of guitar is thom rocking here?

  • can we get the adresses of the two 'wipes who disliked this video?

  • it'd be nice for comments below songs to be more of a friendly conversation about the lyrics and the music of each song rather than just 'wow' and 'crap holy my!'.. Especially if we're talking about Radiohead and other bands who offer buckets and buckets of food for thought

  • 2:43 hell yeah crazy thom dance!

  • love the bass riff at 1:19, sort of a foreshadowing of the "I will eat you alive" bit...

  • I like when he starts smiling to himself at 1:35...he knows he's the shit

  • Hypnotic!

  • Mozart would be proud

  • X will mark the place, like a parting of the waves, like a house falling into the sea...

  • Thanks

  • Gotta love the Ondes Martenot

  • what the hell? You tube hits on every other jools song, but when I pull a song from this performance, this one doesn't hit. I have to do a specific search for this one. Att: this is the last song from the Hail to the thief jools holland performance.

  • Great show! Quick question: Did Thom get punched in the eye before the performance? His left eye looks a little purplish, and I don't know if I'm right, but it looks like he may be squinting on purpose so the bruised eye can receive as minimal attention by the camera as possible.

  • @SoccerRockNY he has a lazy eye, so it might just be the shadows

  • colin's bass is scrumptious ;)

  • excellentissimme

  • Everyone needs to separate Radiohead and Muse in their minds. They are two different bands with different musical goals.

  • I would love for a woman to be with them. To compliment Yorke's voice. And maybe stir things up a bit. After the last album, good, not, great, as it is.

  • anyone know which JOOLS episode this was? I must have it

  • what is the thing jonny is playing where his finger's on a string and it makes weird other worldly noises???

  • @pterr12345 It an instrument called Ondes Martenot. Check it out on Wikipedia or something. It's really cool!

  • Jonny Greenwood: The only man in history who can pull off a mullet.

  • The lights on this videos thumbnail spells WIN..............well it would do

  • Radiohead is Relentess!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • like a space-rat with a ghost's voice.

  • To the comment below, you only dislike it because you don't have a t-shirt that says "Candy" : |

  • @elkwyre

    trollololol

  • @lefan23 - No ur a troll. NO U

  • @elkwyre i like both radiohead and muse. it's not a competition, you know.

  • "i'm sorry the dinossaurs roamed the earth..." :D

  • definitely one of the best songs by radiohead :)

  • Notice a writing on amp " Never a Dull Moment" on 3:02 . never been so true!

  • Jonny needs to write his next soundtrack on solely Ondes Martenot.

  • Crisp Drums.

  • Johnny's playing an ondes Martenot it's estimated fewer than 100 peolpe int he entire world can play it

  • @mappsy91 I think their are more people who can play it, but it sounds great in this song.

  • I am up in the clouds...

    that line is amazing

  • 1 dislike? omg miley cyrus has a youtube account !!

  • Pause at @2:26. You're welcome.

  • @nanwily How comical, say I.

  • Its funny to see Colin playing the bass with a pick. "in the basement" he was using fingerstyle. idk what he was using in the studio. great baseline either way.

    great song and perfomance btw

  • not the best performance of this song. Listen to the 2003 earl's court version (2nd night). Amazing. So much more pumped and Thom actually sounds great. Search youtube for ronaldvdberg radiohead. Its on his website. My favourite performance by them

  • somone has no taste. (and they disliked this video)

  • what guitar is thom using here ?

  • @tycm1234 Fender Telecaster Deluxe

  • Comment removed

  • @TIMPA921209 I think it's Telecaster Custom. Look at 2:15, it has a single bridge pick-up.

  • @salaki i believe its a fender '72 deluxe check it out on musicians friend...

  • I wonder if 'X will mark the place' is referring to Colin's shirt...

  • i hope we all realize that jonny is wearing a shirt that says "candy" on it

  • Imagine a world where "where I end and you begin" would be as known as "creep"...

  • @bodysnatchers25 that's called heaven

  • phil is doing great in all these live performances!

  • They are fucking gods

  • 2:23 best Mr Bean impersonation EVER!

  • JUPXMH

  • I don't think I've ever actually seen Jonny's face behind his hair. Who cares as long as he sounds EPIC.

  • Does Thom have a black eye?

  • @SuperPombear you wanted to say lazy eye?

  • @SuperPombear lazy eye.

  • @Rocko369 I know he normally has a lazy eye but it's not usually black around it...

0:51 - left eye is definitely black

  • @SuperPombear

I think is a trick of the lights. His left eye gets different shadows than the right one. Pause @ 0:58

  • great movies, great books and Radiohead.... Fuck, aint life grand.

  • How dare they roll credits over Radiohead!!

  • wow i had no idea radiohead was on jools holland in 2003. awesome performance!

  • one person here should know that he/she shouldn't get drunk on the internet.

  • Candy! Yes, you are!

  • probably because pablo honey is far too much punk and classic rock then is necessary/healthy. Ok Computer marks their first good album. After that it just gets better. I consider a very big Radiohead fan but consider the first two albums close to terrible.

  • @SweetPretendin Personally, i consider Pablo Honey a Radiohead version of "A hard day´s night" by The Beatles, simple lyrics and simple music, but it´s not terrible at all, it´s just their innocent but original first work. And the bends...COME ON! is great, ....street spirit, bullet proof...? non Radiohead albums are bad

  • @SweetPretendin the bends is a masterpiece.

  • phil looks like voldemort at 1:57

  • @shadowslash55 AHAHAHA!

  • Is it just me or did ed look like Neopleon Dynamite at 3:10?

  • i will eat you alive.

  • cancion de mierda felizmente ya no me haces sentir tristeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hahaha

  • complete jizz

  • I am up in the clouds....

  • Ondes Martenot. Jesus fucking christ i want one.

  • The sequence from 3:44 to the end is orgasmic.

  • goosebumps at the end there

    one of thier best songs

  • im not big fan but this is so good, so tight. this band are the zeitgeist

  • This is truly one of my favourtie radiohead songs

  • COLLIN USING A PICK?????? WTF

  • Comment removed

  • What is Ed doing with his guitar? what effects is he using?

  • this is the only band to literally take me to the clouds with their music :)

  • hail to the thief

    the bends

    amnesiac

    in rain

    ok comp

    kida

    pablo what

  • @kristianbejb Hail to the thief ( Where i end and you begin, Myxomatosis)

    Kid A ( Motion Picture, Idioteque, Kid A o.o)

In Rainbows ( Down is the new up , Up on the ladder , So many.)

Those are the best... pablo honey as blow out too...But in the bends i like mostly only street spirit, Ok comp is great too... Amnesiac as some beautifull songs also

  • @kristianbejb Pabloy Honey is amazing so stfu. Omg, why is Pablo Honey underrated even by Radiohead Fans? Probably didnt listen to it.

  • @StefanoUnlimited Because it's such a different sound from their other albums. Not saying that's the right way to judge any band, I'm just saying that's the reason the majority of people give..

  • @StefanoUnlimited you write, and sound, like a child.

  • @Liqidhead - They simply ALWAYS put on a show..

  • is it just me, or do these guys really pull out all the stops whenever they're on Jools' show?

it sucks i can only give it 5 stars.

    deserves more.

  • @liquidhead your in the know my freind

  • @liquidhead feel ABSOLUTELY the same

  • @liquidhead It sucks that I can only give it a thumbs up haha

  • johnnys playing and ondes martenot...

one of the first versions of synth ever made...from like the 20s i think....SUPER RARE

  • 3:37 - Johnny sneaks a peak at Thom :))

    f@#ing COOL version...

  • sos grande radiohead

  • whats the chord on jonnys fingers when playin the synth?

  • he's playing an ondes martenot, which uses a string that is played with a ring that's kind of like a pick. look it up to learn more, it's really interesting

  • and im sorry for us.. dinosaurs roam the earth..the sky ..turns green where i end and u begin..... painfully beautiful

  • X mark Collin
