As a General Anime Hating grump I was disappointed by the new series, It felt like another money making formula, make things cute, action-y and so on, be sure there's cleavage etc...but I am glad to have seen this clip cause there's no holding back as a TC fan when ITS THE MUTHA F'N THUNDA TANK! and MUTHA F'N PANTHRO!...maybe i'll watch the series now...

Although I mostly like the changes to the Thundercat legend, Panthro's transformation sorely disappoints me. The character doesn't have the acrobatic wrestler moves (does anyone remember the one armed handstand front kick? I always considered it his signature move!). And the voice isn't done by Earle Hyman (The man who played Bill Cosby's dad in both the Cosby show and the t.v. show Cosby.) This seems more like Jet 2.0 (Cowboy Bebop), with Kevin Michael Richardson imitating Michael Ironside.

The rest of the time he is just a shadow of his 80s masculine self. Maybe they are planning on evolving him into manly Lion-O as the season goes on.

@dynomitis Panthro has always been epic ^^ but this new series does have a lot of epic moments, and they have obviously been "inspired" by various movies and shows.

Besides the epicness, this series does seem to have some substance too... at least as much substance as a cartoon about talking cats can have.
