  • Looks great!

  • LOL!

    Love it!

    :-)

  • Thanks Twish!

  • I think one of those horses got a head start. I demand a rematch!

  • I think you're right! Unfortunately the deadline for protests has now past and all winning bets have been paid off and the losing tickets are but memories torn apart, swept from the floor and trashed. A little more polished rematch might someday be in the offing though!

  • ahahahahha that was so dumb ahhahaha

  • Do you have a name for your new pet? LOL :)

  • I can't seem to think of a good one.... "Little Red" maybe.

  • Just had to come back and watch it again.. I absolutely love the total pointlessness of the whole thing!! :)

  • Well then you've certainly come to the right place, LOL.

  • Interesting....Thanks, Grams

  • Thanks for watching Grams!!!

  • Stupid and pointless, and crudely done but soo entertaining and cool (so how pointless and stupid and crude could it really be??)

  • Thanks Danny! I guess it's all subjective, LOL.

  • I backed the loser!

  • Hmmmm, your losing bet doesn't seem to be showing up in my Paypal account yet. You'd better resend the funds, LOL.

  • Did you see that horse "fly"

  • He's pretty small. He might just be the next Seabiscuit, LOL.

  • I had my bet on that horse.

  • Your virtual bucks are streaming their way to you as I type this, LOL.

  • Cool.

  • Thanks rimshot!!!

  • Not sure why I liked this, but I did.

  • I'm not quite sure why I made this... Unless it was for people who aren't quite sure why they like it, LOL.

  • I'm sitting here reading comments, trying to figure out why everyone seems to know what's going on except me. Ah well, if your video is, as you say, "stupid and pointless", this comment should compliment it quite nicely.

  • Basically it was just me screwing around with a new editing program trying to simulate a horse race by using animated cursors. At first I tried to superimpose one on top of the other but that didn't quite work out so I just had to do a picture-in-picture thing to try and simulate it. The end result was kinda crude looking so it's not surprising that everyone didn't quite get it. Had I been able to do greenscreen it would have looked better.

  • Secondarily to fooling around with an editing program I've had the idea of trying to do *something* with stock off the shelf animated cursors for a while. To somehow tell a story with them or something. This was just my first attempt although a simple horse race isn't exactly a *story*. I need to get a lot better at editing before I can tackle much else.

  • Plus I need a way to automatically get the cursors to animate other than overloading a program, LOL. Plus I should probably use a screen capture program instead of a camera.

YIKES, I know this is more than you wanted to know, LOL.

  • 'To the victor go the spoils.' +++ I pray none of 'em left any "spoils" in your C Drive! lol - You know how full of ... (well ... you know) horses can be sometimes. :+)

  • Yikes, I hadn't thought about that. My C drive *already* has more than it's share of crap on it, LOL.

  • what...the...hell?

    cool?

    *reads comments*

    ohhh! i get it now

  • Some videos simply exist because they can:)

  • that was cool!!

  • Thanks Mari!

  • Hoof cares which horse wins? It's the challenge that's the mane thing.

I'm reaching into the bottom of the barrel here, please forgive me but I caught Annie's winter bronchial delight.

  • Undoubtedly you caught a bug whilst jockeying for position to interview one of the Morecambe's the other day. Oh well, I guess the Tubes is the place to be when your all bronchial:)

  • I'm going to have to get Mr. Ed in to comment for me soon- losing my voice! LOL

  • Huh?

    OK, you won! Great! ;)

  • Well the little horse on the bottom won. He came up lame after the race though. I'm not sure if he'll ever run again. I told him if he wasn't ever able to run again I could still put him out to stud. He seemed very happy with that:)

  • I made a video ages agok that would have been the perfect response to this.. I have a feeling I still have it on a cd'rom.. Won't post it just yet, as I did an equally pointless video today.. :)

  • Yayyyy, it's pointless video Saturday, LOL. *scurries off to watch Rob's pointless video* (As usual I'm behind)

  • Wow - too cool. I was pulling for the little one.

  • Thanks Liz!!! Yayyy, for picking the right horse! I hope you bet a bundle on him!

  • lol.. that was funny :}

  • Thanks Bocist!!!

  • It's obvious all the other comments are made by your friends and family.

Honestly, I want my 17 seconds of my life back please.

  • Tis true, my friends are very loyal. Hey you're very lucky to have been sucked into this video and not one of my longer ones, LOL.

  • I'm gonna put on a funky big hat and watch it again!

  • *Passes a mint julep and a pair of white gloves to SplitPZ to go with her most funkaliscious hat*

  • That was too short of a race. Need to see it again and again.

  • I actually did think about trying to do something a little more elaborate, but this took an embarassingly long time as it was. Maybe later though!!!

  • Giddyup!!!

  • Yeehaaa!!!

  • haha -- is that the "try" in trifecta?

  • I've been to one horse race and a few greyhound races. I've tried a few trifectas, but heck I can't even pick one winner much less 3 in order, LOL.

  • Drat! Why can't I ever pick the right horse?! Awesome Blink. hugs, Chris

  • Thanks Chris! Hopefully you'll have better luck the next time, LOL. (((HUGS)))

  • So you have overcome another software hurdle. best get those horses put away in the OK Corel for the night though.

  • One fell into my "C" drive so he's pretty well protected for the night. The other one is still doing victory laps. He's quite the ham, LOL. I've tried out several video editors and *kinda* like Corel Video Studio 12. It seems the simplest next to WMM. It doesn't seem to have a greenscreen feature though. I couldn't find a shareware version of Sony Vegas so I'm not sure how I'd like it because it's supposedly one of the more complex ones. And as I'm typing this I just got your Corel pun, Duh!

  • My 'Nuke a Lily' was my first crack at Sony Vegas (with a "free" download and a lot of help) although you can greenscreen with WMM if you download RehanFX. Trot off and google it - you canter ford to miss the opportunity!

  • hahaha!! You are now a Triple Crown Winner!! Be proud...ha!

  • Yep, I think I'm the first one since Secretariat! Yayyyy me!!!

  • And they're off!!!

    You are bonkers!

But a good kind of bonkers.

    Big hugs. :-)

  • Thanks Nancy! Thankfully you and your sister didn't *quite* corner the market on bonkers and left over just enough of it for me to have my share, LOL.

  • OMG ~ Where did you find that one?

  • It's a pretty common Microsoft Windows cursor. It came with some version of windows I've had in the past. I can't remember which one.

  • Only you could come up with these things. But that's why I watch!

  • Thanks OH Great Master Cookie Baker!!! I've had this one in my head for a while but wasn't able to do it till I was messing around with a different editor than Windows Movie Maker.

  • I think the littlest horse cheated somehow.

  • I think you're right. The little one certainly got the jump on the big one at the start. Not to mention the big horse's side of the track had a "C Drive" which it stepped into and disappeared. The odds were certainly stacked against it.

  • Stop horsing around!!!!

  • Never!!!

  • it reminds me of 'the never ending story'

    xoexo

  • Hehehehe, which makes it kinda ironic since it's only 16 seconds long.

  • well its a quick read ;)

    xoexo

  • LOL!

    Hahahaha

    :-)

  • (((TWISH))))

  • My favorite part was when the horsies were running.

  • It was a tough job getting them to run. I had to pump them full of steroids first!!!

  • FIRST!

Dagnabit, I put all my money on Daisy's Dentures...

  • Oh well, easy come, easy go. Daisy's Dentures is about ready for the glue factory I think. If you'll come and pick her up and transport her there, I'll cut you in for 20% of the proceeds:)

  • Maybe we should call Dr. Thunder - I hear he might be a hoarse doctor!

  • It's worth a shot, although I think he's lost a few patients lately and around the paddocks people have taken to calling him a hearse doctor:) But it'll be worth it even if my horse winds up being only a quarter less hoarse.

  • can't top this one- you're in fine form! LOL

  • Occasionally I have to make up for those all too often times when I'm totally form-less!
