@0JustSomeStupidName0 If you want something with a similar visual style, I recommend Gankutsuou, a retelling of the Count of Monte-Cristo as a scifi punk opera. On the other hand, similar subject matters or moods can be found for example in Mushishi or the art movie Angel's Egg.

I also recommend Ayakashi, a three-part series of feudal Japanese ghost stories interpreted into anime format. The third story in the collection actually introduces the Medicine Seller for the first time!

I loved Mononoke and the Bakeneko arc of Ayakashi. Both were just so original and every episode gave me a colourgasm. Besides that, Kusuriuri is just.. yum. Enough said.

La habían violado por todo lado antes de abrirle la garganta y sacarle los ojos. El video del crimen apareció poco después y fue visto por algunos sádicos que gozaron como puercos. Desde entonces Lauren busca venganza.

@MorroccoSurrogate I agree, it's one of the first truly original series in ages. The animators put a lot of effort in bringing something this original into the world, one would imagine that 'youkai' etc. in anime have been overused.

I guess there really is no accounting for taste :P
