  • Wen I first saw this I was like Tommy cNt die !!!!! But he dident so it's all good

  • Now this is good show. I wish they broadcasted all seasons in my country (the Netherlands). But it''s a good show. Too bad many people don't know it.

  • incredibly underrated show.....Dennis Leary is a huge talent and showed his passion for the american people with Resuce me. This show went unrecognized at the grammies which is a crime. The finale was a great sign off but the show will be missed.

  • Great show. Great ending. Loved the speeches at the beginning and the end. They really encapsulate what this show is all about. That and the part with the ashes.

  • @greywolf2023 i agree. at the beginning i thought it was going to be a sad episode, but after the church dream, it was actually pretty funny

  • i fucking teared up watching this......

Now show will ever touch my heart like this one did.

  • Lou should have been the only one to survive then at the end Lou kills him self and then fades to Needles walking though the fire house and as he pass’s stuff it just fades away then he gets to the door and dose a look around and eve thing is gone and then he shuts the door and it all goes black

  • As much as I love the show, I thought they would end it by closing the house.

I would have changed this last season a bit where to Lou would have passed earlier in the season, Tommy would have "retired" for a little after he passed, everyone would have talked about leaving. Either A they all moved on when it closed down or they all stayed when Tommy came back like they said. They never really answered if they all stayed when Tommy came back or not.

  • Tommy dreamed that Lou was the survivor instead of them, which is why he had the look on his face when he woke up after Lou's speech in the church. Great show, great finale.

  • Wow. the preview was alot different than the actual episode was. Still sad though

  • The song at the ending was by the pogues, there an Irish folk band kind of, I guess they put that song in there to show Tommies Irish. The ending made me so happy when Tommy got in the car and Lou was there, it makes me think of very first episode. It makes me think the whole series is going to restart. But sadly it's not. Rest in Peace Lou, you were my favorite.

  • one question was that the theme song of the show that the bagpippers were playing when they spread the ashes or cake mix what ever you want to call it.

  • @812deerslayer

Sorry, but that was INNA-GADDA-DA-VIDA by Iron Butterfly. Very Appropriate.

  • @Georgejmh What is that song. I don't understand lol

  • @ed2kou1 iron butterfly in a gadda da vida

  • @strachanINC k thx

  • The ending was great. Lous death was a great lost however like he wrote on his letter he was on borrow time. Tommy is learning to fight his past and move on, passing this to the new recruits. 9 11 was a horrible day to us all, this show shed a little light into what the life's of the surviving firefighters was like. And it also ended with hope. The crew stayed together, tommy didn't retired, Franco became lt and so forth. Thank you 62 truck we shall never forget

  • Just watched it. WTF. You had me choked up at the beginning, and then lost me. I liked where you were going with the tragedy and something as mildly epic as an entire firehouse getting killed in a fire. So close to 9/11 it was a nice reminder that we need to remember those men. But then you went off and did the same old Gavin BS. I don't know. I would have liked to have seen what you did with the original beginning, because it's now pointless. Was it Lou's dream or something?

  • Great shoe, really shows how life of a real fire fighter is. One thing they didn't answer is how chief feinbergh seamed to have forgetful moments and was lost a few times at the begening of the season. also, they should make a movie or an aftermath episode!

  • @JarheadPyc1994 Like how he had "old timer moments?" They never really answer if he had some problem..

  • RIP Lou

  • The beginning had me with tears running all do down my face. I really thought all the guys but Lou died. And then it was really funny. And then they kind of lost me. I didn't like the song at the end either.

  • ladies and gentlemen tonight is the night are you ready?

  • I will miss this show, definitely the best on TV...I was expecting a more dramatic ending, but I guess it ended on a positive note....

  • Tonight will be the last night we get to hear that amazing them song

  • Much different ending than what I expected but definitely pleased with how it concluded. LOVED the car scene. So funny.

  • I just watched the last episode, and it was the saddest shit ever. Rescue Me is and always will be the greatest show ever. This is a minor spoiler but there is something very familiar at the end. Lou was my favorite and Franco is the man.

  • great ending to an awesome series. my fiance and are can't wait to get seasons 6 and 7 (the final 2 seasons) on DVD, Tuesday September 13th.

  • I hope lou doesn't die.

  • @dancefool68 lou died

  • *weird

  • Oookkkaaayyy, This finale is very very very very weirddream so far!

  • Im not even gonna try to predict the outcome. However, there are several clues in the trailer...

-the man in uniform at the beggining has dark skin(not racist!)

-there are at least two caskets

-the Janet crying scene is from season 3 when Johnny died

    -Mickey attends the funeral

-as the coats dissapear, Tommy walks out with his and dissapears

-at least one member survives and is beside Niels when he takes of his helment

  • What's the name of this song?!

  • @1Joker10 It's from Adele's 21 CD

  • between the song and my love for this show its great. i didnt know adele sung this until i shazamed it and i listened to the whole song its fitting for the show. i just started watching this( currently on season 5) and i am so sad to see t his go. the promo made me tear up. i watched the wedding episode because i couldnt take not seeing current shows and now its ending

  • whats this song ?

  • Take this as a "prediction" or a spoiler.

Only one of them dies. The scene with janet crying is from an older episode. Its called "ashes" because the one who dies is cremated. Tommy retires. Janet has the baby and give the baby a "black" name. Tommy give the new guys the same speech from the first episode and when he's done he points to Franco who takes over because he's the new leader.

    332 pm est

  • @mano8p you sir, are an asshole..i didnt watch this new episode yet..cunt >:/

  • this show changed my life...i don't cry at all...but i think tomorrow i won't be able to not cry...thanks dennis leary for this show and for touching my soul with this show...I'm very sad because everything is over...

  • What song is that?

  • Franco survives. All the rest dies.

  • Either way, this has been one of the best shows on TV. Nothing else compares to it! I can't wait for tomorrow night!

  • The wait is KILLING me!

  • There was someone who had a thought that everyone died in the fire and based it on the preview. All the jackets disappeared and the count of hangars were 6. There were 6 men in the building THE END. Well if everyone noticed as the jackets were disappearing there was 1 man who walked out with his . . . . . Mr Tommy G ! I think Tommy survives or I hope he does !

  • @smgomez2 no way dude Janet was seen crying, she would only be crying if Tommy dies, and no way in hell Tommy would be in peace, if his best friends just died. Tommy and Lou most likely die, but I'm not sure if everyone else does, but one this I do kno is, I'm gonna cry

  • Dennis siad at the very end of the series there will be a huge twist I bet that its not one person in the coffin its the entire 62 Truck (Which Would SUCK)! Maybe with the exception of Tommy cuz in the synopsis it says there will be a new leader! I guess its back to the same old boring Cop and Lawyer shows : (

  • They all die, this entire series is a tribute to not only the 9/11 victims but more importantly the Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse fire. Leary was born in Worcester & his cousin & childhood friend (one of which is named Tommy) died in the fire along with 4 others. Notably the last scene in the wedding episode had 6 main characters trapped. The comparisons are endless, two people started the fire, six firefighters get trapped, they are trapped by mortar and brick, they run out of oxygen, etc.

  • When the uniforms disappear there is 6 hangers hanging there...

  • @Jaded255 yeh because six new firemen have to pick up there legacy.....or maybe thats just there lol

  • The Lt. Bars can also mean Lou dies and they promote Franco to Lt. I feel the theme of this show has been survival and the guilt of coping with it. The 2 characters that carry the most baggage are Lou and Tommy. I feel theyre the 2 that die or the whole crew dies.

  • wasent lou always a lieutenant because a cheifs pin would be gold

  • two things could happen during the finale lou dies at the beginning of episode and the other person dies at the middle.

  • after looking at promo pics for ashes learys character tommy looks more at piece for some reason and just speculation but he is in a fdny jacket and blue jeans in front of a class of rookies. just speculation as i said there are so many routes this series finale can take all interesting in their own way.

  • @666GreG666 the insignia on the uniform is a Lt.'s bars. Company officers have silver in their uniforms(buttons, bars, etc.), chiefs have gold.

  • All i know is that it sucks that its over already and im definately getting the series on dvd

  • @ebergested63 I hear ya on that .

  • Franco deffinatly lives, and when lou and the chief salute you can mickey and shelia to te left so i hope tom doesnt die or garrity hes my fav

  • Also it would be fitting to have all 6 die, cause of the story behind it. The fire that killed Leary's cousin Jerry Lucey in Worcester Mass, also claimed five other guys. If you think about it, both are warehouse fires, both should have just burned, firefighters were sent in because of suspected squaters,2 in each case I might add except in Worcester in turned out they weren't inside after all. My guess though is Probie is the new tough guy giving the speech at The Rock and Lou Tommy & Shawn die

  • @redsoxfan933 black or white shawn?!

  • @redsoxfan933 I was thinking the exact same thing. Very nicely written, sir.

  • Leary and Tolan may be tricky with how they write, but they aren't stupid. Leary would never write that "Dallas" (its all been a dream) or St. Elsewhere(its in a freaking snowglobe for frick's sake) shit. Whereas some fans of the show may want that to be the ending, it would mean Probie and Black Shawn are figments of imagination beacause they joined they crew post-9/11 and the whole Black Shawn/Coleen storyline would be for not. Two guys are dead for sure, you can tell from the preview

  • @666GreG666 maybe but i think lou would make the most sense since he has the heart problems and such

  • i have been a volunteer firefighter for years now and finishn my college schooling off to make an offical one att tcc and this show has had a major effect on my life and its ending is rly going to affect me but i love what i do always will i love all my brothers as well i jus love to help

  • i am guessing black sean coleens new husband would be why they are so close to the front.who thinks this is a possability

  • @666GreG666 i noticed that line too!

  • Sorry for 2nd post bit if white Shawn dies I riot

  • Well as soon as I saw the hands cuffing the buttons u can easily tell that it's Lou not to be mean but there is a size diffrents between him and Tommy and in the description when they bring up a familiar speech ? Aka the 1st season when Tommy gave it to the probies and seeing how Tommy docent want a desk job and lou's heart problem it makes sense.plus there are rumors that Dennis Leary gave lou the last line in the show

  • At the begining of the promo you notice that the stripes are lieutinant stripes on the collar of the uniform! So that means lou survived!

  • Man that episode was rough last night. It started out happy with the wedding and stuff, but as soon as they pulled up to that fire, you knew something was gonna go wrong. Dennis Leary is a Worcester boy, born and raised. The warehouse they went in to last night kind of looks like the warehouse in Worcester that took the lives of 6 firefighters, including Dennis Leary's cousin and close childhood friend. The worcester 6. It looks like the worcester boy may be honoring his home town hero's.

  • Pretty sure Tommy is definitely dead :( I say this because around the 16-18 second mark, during the salute, it shows Micky, Sheila, and probably Janet, and it's doubtful they'd be that close to the front if it wasn't Tommy :(

  • one things for sure. lou does not die. its him in the very beginning putting on his class A uniform. wearing a single bar lieutenants lapel is a dead giveaway. multiple coffins in the ceremony at the church, so at least two people die.

  • The fact that there is an old scene of Janet crying(from the episode when Johnny dies) in this video just that alone means that Tommy is alive why show an old scene?

  • T.T its going to be hard watching this......

  • i teared up when i saw this lastnight. so sad! who do you think dies? :(

  • Whats the song called?

  • I dont want anyone from 62 truck to die! I loved them all!

  • @666GreG666 i was thinking something similar! i see several directions it could go but im sure i wont be disapointed!

  • Idk why but I thought I was Lou only, I remember a certain scene from a promo that hasn't been shown yet with Tommy in it so I'm guessing he's still alive but I love surprises!

  • It better end with tommy dying, green goblin put it best in spider man. he said people love a hero but what they love even more is to see a hero fail, die trying. In superman returns (whether you think the movie was good or not) the best scene is when superman falls from the sky. in reference to tommy his firemen days are numbered and he doesnt know how to do anything else. you cant end it any other way. no one wants to watch him retire and clean cars for a living or some crap like that.

  • I think Tommy is the only one that dies.He and Lou both knew that he could never retire and take a desk job and he would go out a hero if he died while trying to save everyone.Looks clearly like Tommys helmet on the coffin in the preview of the funeral.

  • Who dies?

  • @lgtheright1 everyone who was trapped at the end
