This mantra is composed of six syllables: OM MA NI PAD MÉ HUM. OM represents the pure and impure mind/body/speech of a realized being v/s a habituated one. OM has its roots in ancient Indian Vedic philosophy/science. MANI is the jewel of wisdom. @frankenboston You make a lot of sense. It is easy to go, 'religion xyz does this and this and this, people in religion XYZ is SO BAD!' but as soon as someone does this back at you, then it's easy to whistle blow because it's insulting. I found myself doing this last night, and I realize I am wrong for downing Christianity. Once it's said, it's said. Apologies can help, but what is said still hurts. I need to practice on right speech.
