  • fuckin oaf hes loosen that bet

  • @mrgoob464

We'll see. He's a good shot at the Masters this year.

  • whos to say your model is right?

  • buddy, you are losing that bet...

  • I think Gary lost a bet and was forced to appear in this video. I am very familiar with their "perfect golf swing" and how its performed. My dog performs it in the back yard every morning, though he has a bit more squat when he craps. This is almost as entertaining than listening to Johnny Miller making a fool of himself commentating on NBC.

  • The worst thing you can suggest in golf: reproduce positions. The laws of Physics generate positions, but not vice-versa. There is no "absolutely correct" position. Working on muscular tensions and intent would be better. Trying to reproduce a "not-human" model or Tiger Woods "aspect" without tacking count of your athletic ability and attitudes... it's a loss of time!

  • @BenJogan you are a joke. keep trying to sound smart buddy you are just making a complete idiot of yourself. there actually are absolute correct positions in golf and anyone that wants to hit consistant shots should strive to get as close to the correct positions as possible. you can get away with getting close to the perfect positions but anything too over exagerated or under exagerated will cause you to have to modify your swing somewhere els to hit a perfect shot. possible but not practicle

  • @Codz0413 Anyone that wants to hit consistent shots needs to produce the same swing every time. Nothing else matters.

  • @Codz0413 And so players like Lee Trevino, Jim Furik, Sam Snead, George Knudson, Moe Norman... they're were all "out of position", inconsistent hackers that had to "compensate" somewere in their swing. Sorry if I'm making an idiot of myself, but I think that in life good manners come prior to "scientific" and technical preparation. I never said you were an idiot and mine was a plain, philosophical consideration based on experience, common sense and human reason.

  • der. the model is modelled after him, so stupid.

  • 14 Majors don't lie

  • bigpyoopypants - this is an old video since the host is talking about Tiger working with Butch Harmon. That was a long time ago. He went through a "slump" and then owned the PGA for the next decade.

  • "That slump everyone says he's in, well, here's betting that won't last too long." This video was uploaded in 2009, and it's almost 2012 now. You lost that bet sir. ;)

  • @bigpyoopypants Lol. My thoughts exactly.

  • "Here's betting that that won't last too long"... lol!

  • Gary Koch is a nice guy who was a decent tour player and a very good putter, but I don't know if there's a better personification of Sominex when it comes to TV announcers--and here he is, doing one of the most boring and pointless things you can possibly do in golf instruction, discussing how closely a guy's swing comes to a computer model. I guess I'll go tell Hogan, Nelson, Jones, Snead, Nicklaus, Watson, et al. that their swings are even farther from the model.

  • @emncaity When Woods was dominating opponents and courses in a way no one has before, it seemed his near flawless swing was the ideal. It's funny because now that his game is in the toilet the swing critiques are coming in droves. McIlroy became the new ideal after his U.S. Open win, but I'm sure that will change if he goes into an extended slump and/or someone else becomes the next great one. I guess the ideal swing belongs to the best player at the time.

  • @fdfdfdfdsss and for you. there is no way that any swing critic is telling anyone that mcllroy's swing is the model swing right now. do you even watch golf. he clears his hips and shoulders way to early but it works for him. similar to how jack nicklaus lifted his front heel off the ground. many golfers have their own twist on their swings but all of them know exactly how to reposition themselves to make a good golf shot. humans like us should try to make the golf shot as easy as possible.

  • @Codz0413 Apparently you didn't watch the WGC when all of the commentators and analysts were gushing over how textbook McIllroy's swing is. It's no coincidence that bit of hyperbole came only a couple of weeks after he slaughtered the field at the U.S. Open. *I* never said he has a model swing, nor was that the point of my comment. If McIllroy had stunk up Congressional there's no way they would have been saying his swing was textbook.

  • does Tiger really think about all of that? I don't think so

he was more focused on which girl am I going to hang out with more than to fix his swing

  • @Moraud5386

how many masters, pga, and fedex cup trophies do you have? how many times have you won athlete of the year? what have you ever practiced so tediously throughout your life it that has lead you to a pay-off of being the face of an entire organization? Why dont we stop criticizing tiger woods for being a human being who made bad decisions and we focus just a bit on the unfathomably hard work he's put into his game and the deserved success he's attained as a result.

  • @kimroxmysox A lot, but in video games.

  • @kimroxmysox

Why does it have to be either/or? Why does the fact that he is a spectacularly great player, easily the best of his generation and probably one of the four or five best of all time, obliterate the fact that he was willing to humiliate and betray his wife and children for his own gratification (as opposed to your standard sanitized version where he "made bad decisions")? It's actually simple: Both of these are true at the same time.

  • I would have thought the perfect swing is the one that doesn't render your body broken. 4 knee replacements, acute achilles tendon issues, anyone?

  • mmh, this made me understand why I hook it in the woods these days

  • THIS IS TIGER'S 2001 SWING.....THE 2000 SWING WILL MATCH THE MODEL BETTER.

  • The model they're using is wrong.

The swing plane IS flatter. duh.

  • What do you think of the Somax analysis which said that Tiger has a catastrophic swing sequence and the best was Arnold Palmer?

  • @justjames1111 - Unfortunately the somax analyses are horrendous. They are based on cherry picking information, pseudoscience and just blatant misinformation. Anyway, just read your statement again, do you really think Arnold Palmer has a better swing sequence than Tiger Woods?

  • I wish you still swung like that. His swing sucks with his new coach FOOLey

  • many said tiger swings are flawed but but but the problem is.. is.. is... tiger still became the no1 and those who said his swings are flwed nvr became no1 or 2 or 3... hmmm.. thats a big problem.

  • it is both powerful and effecient!!!!

  • is there a blue man group song in the background?

  • He's probably licking his ass cos he's the greatest golfer ever!!!!!

  • this guy is licking tigers ass.

  • GARY...many thanks for your inspirational Videos. But what about the SENIORS! Perhaps you can be inspirational like ARNIE in his Prostate Awareness. I'm referring to a VISION problem "macular degeneration(AMD) that is now in volumetric numbers, more than Prostate cancer! Please share with your many friends who still love their Golf

  • I want to see an analysis of Ben Hogan.

  • 20 dollars says he won't win another major... any takers?

  • @xvirg move it too a 1000 and ill take that all day!!!! He will win the 2011 masters and pga

  • @kjackboy1 I doubt that you have that much money, crakboy

  • @xvirg 20 dollars? I'll be you $1,000,000.00 that he wins another one. Tiger isn't good just because of his swing. Other people out there have better swings or have had better swings in my opinion. He's great because of his mental game and ability to focus. He loves golf more than his wife/ex-wife. You just wait and see.

  • @baka86

I agree with you that tiger will most likely win another major, and yes his mental focus is what made the guy so damn intimidating on sundays, however i feel like he's lost a lot of his love for the game. watching tiger play today is like watching a machine, there's no emotion there other than frustration and anger at his mistakes. Granted he is still incredibly focused, i just wish i could see a smile from time to time.

  • @jamesi34 please see Ryder Cup 2010 for some smiles

  • @PUArtista

true, that was one hell of eagle chip in he had

  • Nice video..Frustrating to try to copy tho...

  • The model is incorrect because it is not Tiger Woods

  • Hey probably the model is based on Tiger so of course he fits it closest :)

  • great technical information but a shortcut to frustration for week-end players !

  • I don't know how Tiger is doing today, but I am rooting for him to get his game back.

  • wow! just cuz ur club is across the line at the top doesn't mean ur guna draw or hook it, and the farther your head is behind the ball, you'll be more prone to go to the left not the right. they need another guy to describe this swing to viewers, lol.

  • And they say the same thing now...seems like whatever he does the douches on TV agree with it...same with the PGA of America turds...Whatever it is this was the swing that won the SLAM!

  • @PUArtista

I'm one of those "PGA of America turds" and I can't stand Tiger. Never been a fan, never will be. No class.

  • @CarolinasPGApro I'm pretty good at reading between the lines....No class=Not white; nuff said there

  • @PUArtista

No....I meant no class as in no respect for the game or his fans.....for example....remember that made for tv match he played with Duval back in 99?....there are five year old kids watching three feet away from him.....and he was dropping so many f-bombs that ABC cut his microphone off after five holes....that's what I'm talking about....color's got nothing to do with it.

  • @CarolinasPGApro I could care less about class, I only care about results

  • He was voted PGA Tour Player of the Year and Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year for the second time in three years.

  • who has ever said tiger'

    s swing is near perfect?

  • ha....the model is both silly and off

  • ty ty ty
