I think the video quality is great-- no problem hearing you.
In my youth I had to live on the 50 pound sack of potatoes. When I think of college, I think potatoes. Potato soup/bread/pancakes/scalloped/mashed.Ugh.
Never tried onions. So glad you did this though, reminds me to get my dehydrator out and do something productive! Decorate the jars and would make nice xmas presents. :)
@ChrmdLabradorite onions are real easy because you do not need to steam or blanch ...really smell strong though so wait until you can open the windows ...:-)
I think I know why the dark taters,,your slicer blade,I got one found in vintage listing all stainless steel ,,love it for meat sliceing but discovered the potatoe greyed ,so went back to my stainless chef knife for dehydrate sliceing,,and don't bother with a apple corer ,,the forks that stab apple/ect ruin the fruit and the silly things are impossable to center for a smooth cut- I freezer ziplock my produce and it's fine after 3yrs..no space for jars ,store them in galvinized Trash cans W/Lids
@wizardangel not sure on the taters...i did them before i got the slicer...sliced them by hand with a ss chef knife...i'm thinking maybe they were not steamed long enough...
@randallsellis thanks...i have heard that but was told not to spray potatoes with lemon, or any acid for that matter...will have to read up on it some more i guess...then experiment...:-)
@CTOL1 lol...i am thinking i may need to keep the old camera for yt stuff...we will see...i was really hoping to sell it, but not sure i will be able to get around the issues ...still a great little camera...
dehydrating onions is something i must do! thanks for introducing me to this concept, it would be nice to compliment this video showing re-hydrating of those plz :)
@Skybinary yes....i plan on doing this at some point...:-) i'll tell you what though ...don't dehydrate onions until you can have the doors and windows open...lol
I'm sure you know this but.... Go to tools, audio levels and make sure the toggle is smack dab in the middle..then go to clip, audio then volume....turn it up all the way....
@commando602 lol...did not realize the volume sucked too...lol...lol...you can't hear, but it sped up the audio so i sounded like a chip monk ...and the timing is all off ...i obviously have a ways to go with this....

Spraying the food with lemon juice will usually prevent browning. Best to you and yours.
