Dude, was someone shooting at you or something? The first puff of smoke looks like it came out on your left side and your gun didn't even move. Bad video or what's going on there? The second shot looks more realistic.
This rifle is amazing. Practical distance is 1200meter. And the bullet flights like +800meter/second. I have tested Dragunov, TK model '85.. ect, but havn't yet found a better rifle. Luckyly me and my spotter got this rifle in serve. :P
´so big difference between finnish and russian forces in the winter war, thats very much bigger these days and russia is the only country that is most likely to attack Finland. but we won the winter war!
the casualties were almost the same..BUT! Russian army were actually ADVANCING!broke the mannergein line(dont remember acsact name). the army did the job and the fins agreed to sign the peace treaty on OUR TERMS. fins lost the territories near the Leningrad which were needed to defend this city in the future war against germany.
@teplotexnik Russias plan was to invade the whole finland. The territories near leningrad was just an excuse. Russia tried to invade Finland and failed tragicly.
@kaahaajaFIN SU didnt want to conquer the finland! :) fins were offered teritories twice as big as an exchenge..but they refused(they were not as good as the territories offered to give up)..so what would you do if you were SU leader? you know that the germany is going to attack sooner o later and that the fins border is VERY close to one of the biggest INDUSTRIAL city.you have no choice but to use the armed force..its a pity that our countries fighted but thats how it was done.
@teplotexnik Well SU wanted to conquer Finland. Remember the deal Stalin and Hitler made? Western europe and half of poland to Germany and The baltic states, eastern europe and Finland to SU.
@kaahaajaFIN acsactly the same situation.the SU moved the border away from its cities!...made the buffer between germany and SU..beetween finland and SU.dont you see? im not saying its very good but if it wasnt done maybe the SU could lost the war or lost many more soldiers than it did.in that perspective it was justified.
@kaahaajaFIN about finland - in 1944 (if i remember it corect) the peace treaty was signed between SU and Finland. why didnt SU conquered the Finland if that what SU wanted?:) think about it.we had enought troops..yes the germany would have been conquered little bit later maybe not in the may of 1945 but in june :) no big difference.
@teplotexnik How is that when you were trying to cutting the Finland half and control the whole country, but didint get anything done. We kind of won winter war and we kind of lost the continuation war, because of war agreements, but not truly lost on the battlefield. Yes we lost some land and that makes us kind of lose the war, correct. But for a small nation like us its a huge victory to stay independent and succesfully defend against any supercountry like SU was, not losing on the battlefield
@TheQneb i agree that fins did the great job in defence.i agree that soviet army could fight better.i disagree that the finland stayed independent because of succesfull defence because SU didnt want to conquer the finland.the task was to move the border away from the leningrad -the major industrial city at that time + have the shore with no fin's artillery.if the SU wanted to conquer the finland it would have been done.SU crushed german army + their allies...you think finland could stop SU ?
Look at the very end. You will notice there is like a 2 piece stock, the front slides on recoil bars back, really a good design. Expensive as all hell to shoot.
mbiechris. It is both handed The TRG i mean. Happen to own one and it is very easy to tranfer it from righthanded to left handed...though the reloading is bit different
i dont agree with this remember the japanese tha fire from trees thats one place always it cost their lifes. non the snipers shoot fron one place and the marksmen dont alawys sit in one place i have read book for that

No, a real sniper takes as many shots as he needs to to accomplish his mission or his location has been compromised enough to warrant moving to a new one so that he isn't killed. You don't know what you're talking about and you're not a sniper.
And you don't want to argue with me about this matter, sniper who stands still after shooting a gun that makes that loud sound = dead sniper. It's one shot per one spot. That's why snipers before hand scout the area, and mark the good shooting positions and get to know the surroundings.
I don't care who the hell you are saying that I'm not a sniper but I didn't do 9 monthsof military service for nothing.. -_-'
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
9 months of military service isn't even enough to do one deployment cycle to Iraq or Afghanistan. You're a poseur and you should stop trying to lie to people who can call you on your bullshit. Look up "US snipers in Iraq" on Youtube and you will see snipers holed up in buildings taking multiple shots to engage threats. So once again, you're not a sniper and you don't know what you're talking about.
Taking multiple shots is a sign of bad marksmanship. Besides, SAKO sniper rifles are mainly bolt-action rifles (don't know any semi-autos made by SAKO). It's too risky to take multiple shots with bolt-action rifle anyway. But bolt-action rifle has few good qualities: psychological effect of "one shot", you gotta get it right - no second chance. This forces trainees to actually become exellent snipers, in order to succes in their mission. Plus, it bear greater power than semi-auto.
The Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) 8.6 TKIV 2000 rifles have custom made Zeiss 3-12x56 Diavari VM/V T* 30 mm telescopic sights with eye safe laser filters mounted.[18] These sights are equipped with first focal plane "FinDot" reticles
What was the distance btw? I easily made slightly less then a 0.5 MOA (43mm) (4x5) from 300 meters using this rifle. It is really cool. Next time going to a longer range
Suomi perkele!!!
