Good point, the problem is that most SNK characters personalities act as if they have too much to prove. While Capcom characters are mostly deeper and act more serious, sadly SNK just forgot about that.

IMO, this game is okay, but SNK should have taken more time and care into making this. At least SNK made "SNK Vs. Capcom: Match of the Millenium" awesome, its considered to be the best handheld fighting game.

Are you kidding? Joe is the best SNK fighter in CVS2. His Tiger Kick has godly priority, even over some super moves. his rapid punch move does insane damage and it's much more powerful in CVS2 then any other SNK game. The QCB+K has great range and his HCB+K is faster in this game. Basically, Joe is by far the most solid character SNK has to offer in CVS2.
2. The roster is stronger. They offer Samurai Shodown characters like Haomaru, Earthquake and then they have Capcom characters that were never featured on any Marvel Vs. Series such as Tessa and Mega Man ZX.
3. Better endings. The endings in CVS2 and 1 suck, they give you word endings. On SVC you get picture endings for each individual character and there two seperate endings for every char.
1. the roster is still essentially KOF vs SF. Snk themselves had endless characters that they could have added. Including Zero was HORRIBLE as he is unbalanced and his moves are extremely unfair.
2. The graphics are POOR. SNK themselves reused old sprites for this game. The backgrounds are generic and mostly one colour. The endings are well done, BUT I guess with such unimpressive visuals there was more than enough space to fit the endings in.
1. The SNK characters get to use more than half if not their FULL moveset. CvS2 and CVS1 they were only able to use half their movesets at best. (This was do to the fact that the Street Fighters did not have many moves of their own so Capcom chumped the SNK characters just so Capcom's fighters can keep up with them)
3.Characters have there full moveset which is good BUT, alot of characters are unbalanced and unfairly dominate. Geese, Zero and Red Arremeer are prime exapmles of this. The ability of Shin Akuma and Shin mr karate to use their supers with no super combo energy is STUPID and makes the last stage impossible to beat.
4. The music is BORING
5. The only GOOD thing about this game is that it is SOLID, I still play it when I get a chance and the in game art is AMAZING!!!

ah well...but i love this game for its cast of SNK characters.
In CVS2, Kyo had alot of moves. In fact, his moveset is much greater then his rival Ryu. It's just that most of those moves were nerfed and rendered useless. His QCF+P moves had no range, and the arc on his R.E.D kick has been reduced, making it a sorry option for an overhead. Iori wasn't too bad in CVS2, since only one of his moves were butchered. The most solid SNK fighters in CVS2 are Joe, Terry, Geese, Hibiki, King, Yuri, Yamazaki and Rugal. The rest were butchered one way or another.
Man you want everything on PS2 don't you? XD I know there is an American version out on Xbox, however, no US version was ever created on PS2. A Japanese version however I'm not sure... I'd have to check.

If I only had a PS2 I'd be happy with it but I can't say I'd want everything. :) If there are certain games that are not on PS2 that I must have and it is more than one I simply save my cash and get the system that has those cool games I want. On SvC Choas you can see all of her muscle tone and her height is where it should be. On CvS she is drawn to a point where she looks like a cartoon (big eyes, toned-down muscle) but on SvC Choas she looks alot more build and realistic.
I love the character artwork and the story mode for this game. To me the art detail and story are better than CVS2 and that is only because those Street Fighter sprites look way too cartoony and goofy looking.
Example: They stunted 3rd Strike Chun-Li's growth on there a little bit and you can hardly see her thy muscles.

You look like you're struggling, but I can't really blame you. Because SNK fucked it all up for the Capcom characters, it is much harder to use them in this stupid slow-moving game than in Capcom's fighting games.

SNK Playmore killed it, Capcom are the masters at making a crossover game. The voice samples is what really killed it for me in this game. Why do people like this game?

Why because Capcom cheated on some of SNK characters moves, (Kim) speed (Kyo and Iroi) and super special combos (Yamazki, and Joe).look at Demetri he looks like a real demon vampire not cartoon. I was surprised SNK change Sagats fighting stance his arms are further away from his body making him look like a real Thai fighter in SFA he looks like a regular boxer not a kick fighter.

This has been a debate for a long time now. More Capcom fans like CvS2 due to the fact it feels more capcom style. While SNK fans enjoy SVC more. Now I play and own both games. The problem that I had which Chaosflare128 talked about was how Capcom really toned down and changed SNK characters. Many moves were changed up so after playing a KOF game and then switching over to CvS2 I have to remember that the moves are not the same anymore.
SNK did no better with Capcom characters. For Ken and Ryu there is no fierce kick. It is so stupid to hit D only to strike at and not trip the opponent as desired. And SNK fucked up Guile, making his 3-hit sonic boom combo sometimes impossible to pull off.
But at least they gave Ryo has fireball move (and also his air fireball move if I'm not wrong).
So in your opinion which is better, CvS2 or SVC?
Just like CvS2 is better with Capcom characters, SVC is slightly better with KOF characters (slightly because for most of them their missing moves and SDMs after KOF '98 were not fully restored).
It is sad when people try to relate this to Capcom vs. SNK 2.

People seem to hate the soundtrack to this game, but it sounds beautiful compared to the total shit that is the KOF 2001 soundtrack.
Every song in that game sounds like its comprised of farts. (With the exception of maybe the boss themes)

or SVC Chaos but I like Svc chaos better cuz it's more simple, you don't have all those groves to choose from, When SNK Made this game they
were Rushed and this is when they were going bankrupt.also it's only on Xbox in north America.

no no no this game isnt perfect by far but it is still better than capcoms games cvs2 had horrid graphics the sprites looked so ruff against the 3d backdrops. garou:mark of the wolf owns all 2d beat em ups anyway. that is until the new hd king of the fighters on the ps3 which by the way wipes the floor with sf4 and sf2 hd remix. capcom will only ever be a close second in the 2d beat em up genre.

no, you dont seem to understand. kof xii is a fucking beta. snk has pretty much admitted this. you obviously havent seen gameplay for it either. still plays like boring old KOF where hyper hops/short jumps dominate the match. BlazBlue looks just as good if not better, will have a better tier spread, and greater depth to its combat. how the fuck does CvS2 look bad compared to SvC chaos? are you blind? are you basing this solely on Morrigan's sprite? garou=invinc. backdash/broken feint system ggpo

I LOVE THIS GAME - wish i can play it on the xbox 360. ;( very disappointed! my best elite team on the game - GUILE, GOENITZ, SHIN AKUMA, M. BISON, SAGAT. and i still have my old games i'm thinking of buying the old xbox, but i heard they're coming out with a new xbox hopefully this time you can actually play the old xbox games on it.

Are you kidding? Joe is the best SNK fighter in CVS2. His Tiger Kick has godly priority, even over some super moves. his rapid punch move does insane damage and it's much more powerful in CVS2 then any other SNK game. The QCB+K has great range and his HCB+K is faster in this game. Basically, Joe is by far the most solid character SNK has to offer in CVS2.

2. The roster is stronger. They offer Samurai Shodown characters like Haomaru, Earthquake and then they have Capcom characters that were never featured on any Marvel Vs. Series such as Tessa and Mega Man ZX.
3. Better endings. The endings in CVS2 and 1 suck, they give you word endings. On SVC you get picture endings for each individual character and there two seperate endings for every char.

I am sorry this game was VERY disappointing.
1. the roster is still essentially KOF vs SF. Snk themselves had endless characters that they could have added. Including Zero was HORRIBLE as he is unbalanced and his moves are extremely unfair.
2. The graphics are POOR. SNK themselves reused old sprites for this game. The backgrounds are generic and mostly one colour. The endings are well done, BUT I guess with such unimpressive visuals there was more than enough space to fit the endings in.

1. The SNK characters get to use more than half if not their FULL moveset. CvS2 and CVS1 they were only able to use half their movesets at best. (This was do to the fact that the Street Fighters did not have many moves of their own so Capcom chumped the SNK characters just so Capcom's fighters can keep up with them)

3.Characters have there full moveset which is good BUT, alot of characters are unbalanced and unfairly dominate. Geese, Zero and Red Arremeer are prime exapmles of this. The ability of Shin Akuma and Shin mr karate to use their supers with no super combo energy is STUPID and makes the last stage impossible to beat.
4. The music is BORING
5. The only GOOD thing about this game is that it is SOLID, I still play it when I get a chance and the in game art is AMAZING!!!

In CVS2, Kyo had alot of moves. In fact, his moveset is much greater then his rival Ryu. It's just that most of those moves were nerfed and rendered useless. His QCF+P moves had no range, and the arc on his R.E.D kick has been reduced, making it a sorry option for an overhead. Iori wasn't too bad in CVS2, since only one of his moves were butchered. The most solid SNK fighters in CVS2 are Joe, Terry, Geese, Hibiki, King, Yuri, Yamazaki and Rugal. The rest were butchered one way or another.

I was laughing at the fact that you want "everything" on the system. If I only had a PS2 I'd be happy with it but I can't say I'd want everything. :) If there are certain games that are not on PS2 that I must have and it is more than one I simply save my cash and get the system that has those cool games I want. No need to get sensitive about it. I wasn't looking down on you or anything like that. I was just surprised you want everything on PS2 because that is impossible.

On SvC Choas you can see all of her muscle tone and her height is where it should be. On CvS she is drawn to a point where she looks like a cartoon (big eyes, toned-down muscle) but on SvC Choas she looks alot more build and realistic.

I love the character artwork and the story mode for this game. To me the art detail and story are better than CVS2 and that is only because those Street Fighter sprites look way too cartoony and goofy looking.
Example: They stunted 3rd Strike Chun-Li's growth on there a little bit and you can hardly see her thy muscles.

Snk can't do a great job remaking the Capcom chareters. Capcom did a really great job making the Snk charater's. That wasn't really Ken voice, this game is really bad.

True the game isn't slow^^ the dash is very useful here than that first CvS Mark of the Millinium that Cap made now thats slow i got it 4 the Dreamcast & i cant get around it....& yur right about SF2 Fatal Fury2 had the ability 2 jump in2 the bg making it almost as if yur playing 3D also they had the dash & SF2 didnt jumping was the best shot of reaching yur enemy fast plus FF2 had super specials...Kims is the best Phoenix Flattner...later we had 2 wait 4 Cap 2 come out with super specials

So you prefer KOF. That's your opinion, and I do ALREADY know KOF is a more complex game than Street Fighter. No need to tell me more.
But you must admit the controls for Capcom characters in SVC Chaos are harder and less smoother than SNK characters.
And I bet 99% of the time when you play SVC Chaos you use ONLY SNK characters, NOT Capcom ones am I right?!

Hahaha 'high quality sprites'? Er, not for SVC Chaos. The graphics and art for the characters and the stages are mostly OLD, DULL, and BLAND. Even worse than Capcom Vs SNK's which are more colorful though cartoony.
This is also why your beloved but stupid SVC Chaos didn't make to to the US PS2. Ha! Sony America thought the same of the sprites and graphics and simply told SNK Playmore 'you can release it for PS2 in the US, but it must be sold at half price or lower'!

It has nothing to do with fanboys. I mostly play Capcom fighting games so I'm gonna place blame and call you an SNK fanboy (and possibly make you feel worse, maybe?). I loved Capcom VS SNK2, I loved picking Kyo and that ninja dude with the sword. I didn't care what game they were from. Why because Capcom cheated on some of SNK characters moves, (Kim) speed (Kyo and Iroi) and super special combos (Yamazki, and Joe).look at Demetri he looks like a real demon vampire not cartoon. I was surprised SNK change Sagats fighting stance his arms are further away from his body making him look like a real Thai fighter in SFA he looks like a regular boxer not a kick fighter.

This has been a debate for a long time now. More Capcom fans like CvS2 due to the fact it feels more capcom style. While SNK fans enjoy SVC more. Now I play and own both games. The problem that I had which Chaosflare128 talked about was how Capcom really toned down and changed SNK characters. Many moves were changed up so after playing a KOF game and then switching over to CvS2 I have to remember that the moves are not the same anymore.

SNK did no better with Capcom characters. For Ken and Ryu there is no fierce kick. It is so stupid to hit D only to strike at and not trip the opponent as desired. And SNK fucked up Guile, making his 3-hit sonic boom combo sometimes impossible to pull off.

Just like CvS2 is better with Capcom characters, SVC is slightly better with KOF characters (slightly because for most of them their missing moves and SDMs after KOF '98 were not fully restored).
