They didn't just throw rocks and snow, they threw oyster shells, ice, some wielded clubs. they threw all of this stuff at all of the soldiers, not just one of them, and i believe the one you are talking about tho is Hugh Montgomery. he did not come back with more soldiers, he fled to the custom house and his fellow soldiers went there to save him. other wise, it was very good.
