OMG that is a long train.. how many cars did that bring...and actually where was it headed to again? That didn't come all the way to Miami right?? Thanks for sharing
@fec072875 It sure is!! The train ends at Indiantown, FL. About 30 miles or so northwest of West Palm Beach. No, this train does not come to Miami. I was glad to share it, thank you very much!!
@JgordonAmtrak1 Yup they are looong, where did you hear about the DPU's? I don't think they are going to do that, there is no need for them in Florida, no hills or mountains. Around Tampa is gets a little hilly, but I don't think they need DPU's. I would like it if they did have DPU's though!!! Thanks bro!!
@JgordonAmtrak1 Haha! Yea this ID is weird, some coal trains are V or N or U, any letter of the alphabet, lol! This Gevo was pulling hard! Thanks, Jeff!
Great catch, Rudy. I always enjoy catching the Indiantown coal trains for some reason. My first encounter with one of them was in October 2009 at the Okeechobee Amtrak Station when I filmed E092 taking empties from an N016 back north.
@FloridaTrainKid Same here, it's a mysterious train, just the fact of catching it on an isolated line like the Auburndale sub with no ATCS makes it so intriguing. Thank you very much for all the help, Tim!
Awesome video, Rudy! Loved that shot at Okeechobee! Wish the sun was out there, but I guess as Larry says, take the damn shot. lol. Faved. This train was so beast! The back woods shot was nice too.
