King hubs are pretty awesome with a fairly unique system that doesn't use traditional pawls. They don't see a lot of wear. They will get louder as they go along, but that's because the grease can dry out a bit in arid regions. I've only ever had to rebuild one for 'skipping' it just needed lube, nothing wrong with it. The sound when actually riding is far more muted. They are always louder in the stand...
Hey, HEARD about these hub! Do they get less noiser when you wear them in or do they just sound like that FOREVER! Thinking of getting sum if they werent that loud!

It seems it has more drag than the Hadley... Hope it will get better in time... I'm just between CK and Dt hubs right now. :(
