  • You have to figure that Derren is 100% sure that his final trick will work out perfectly (in order not to look like a fool). Therefore, it has to be absolutely fool proof. I don't think he would rely solely on "choose the confetti" and "a destination you would mcfly to". You also have to realize that he had someone pick a piece of paper randomly out of the basket, which HAD to have McFly on it in order for the finale to work. Amazing.

  • The trick is... there is no way to verify it they really voted for the confetti, as there was never proof of that

  • 1. sleeping

    2. masturbating

    3. sleeping

  • I've seen this show a few times now on youtube, know the outcome, know what's coming, and I still get chills (and laugh) multiple times throughout. Derren is an amazing performer and that's the real secret. His story-telling, pacing, and showmanship (not to mention amazing ability to memorize and recall people's names!)

  • 0:18 "Perhaps a favorite food, person, or maybe a holiday destination you'd most like McFly to"

  • My mind has just been blown by the worlds very best Derren Brown.

To that I say, good day sir! ಠ_ೃ

  • I've heard Svengali wasn't as good as his old stuff.

    Did anyone go?

    Is it true?

I know he isn't working with Andy Nyman anymore. Shame. I liked him.

  • Ok here's my prediction: I'm at 00:53 so far and I've heard him say "McFly". I know McFly is a British band. Will that pop up later? =O

  • anyone know what the piano piece playing at 31:04 and 40:50 is?

  • @lostfishcustard Thats the Aria from Bach's Goldberg Variations. It is very beautiful and if you're looking to listen to the entire piece, I recommend you listen to Glenn Gould's version.

  • @FryderykFChopin thank you :]

  • So Niko from GTAIV went and watched a show with Derren Brown in it....way better than the ones in the game!

  • Did anyone else notice what derren said at 0:00:20. "or maybe a holiday destination you most like mcfly to"

  • i love his style of magic tricks =) it's the best.

  • WOW.

  • 0:35:00 what the fuck

  • This is my fave one off alle od Derren's shows!

  • Help wanted! Last April Fool's Day my sis told me Brown had died because she knows how much I adore him. Ideas on how to get her back? It has to be good, I did not take her joke on me lightly at all. I love Derren. Anyway, he'll never die. He'll just hypnotize the reaper and live forever.

  • Fantastic Show, unfortunately the finale trick is painfully easy. The envelope that is brought from the back by the volunteer has simply been prepared so that the numbers on the back of Derren's envelope correspond with the order he wants. If the order had been completely different, then Derren would have received an envelope with different numbers at the back so that it would still lead to the exact same order. It is a fantastic show though and there is a lot in there that blew my mind!

  • @chrisnelisse I don't get what you mean.

The men RANDOMLY picked numbers and then RANDOMLY chose a picture.

They also stood in line RANDOMLY. And confetti was a RANDOM popular choice.

Derren had no control over any of that.

    What do you mean? =(

  • The plank guy has great hair.

  • Anytime I watch or read anything Derren Brown I get blown away! Amazing show!

  • syf ;P

  • thanks for the upload!

  • This man is fucking mental.

    Brilliant show.

  • 0:08:55

    HAHAHAH Love it <3

  • 0:00:20 "Or maybe a holiday destination you'd most like MCFLY to" suggestion is built into everything in his shows

  • 0:09:21, holy shit, is that the main guy from The Guilt Trip? His latest show? :D

  • What an amazing show, one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. I'm really glad he's using his skills for mindblowing entertainment instead of scamming people for money as a psychic or faith healer.

Truly a valuable ally for skeptics and atheists.

  • @r3tje atheists??? what? :S

  • @tarrizzzzzzzzz religious person ??? what? :S

  • i cant believed i watched the full 1:15:43 FML

  • @01Khan011 how so? this is better than most of that garbage on telly at the moment. cheer up chap

  • so what happened to the banana?

  • the brown guy thinks of the word bomb. Coincidence? I think not.

  • 40:15 - tu skonczylem ogladac :D tak zebym nie zapomnial

  • WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?

  • 1:14:41 - I shat bricks when I saw it!

  • So what happened to the second guy he touched at 30 min in? Not good enough for him or something?

  • @DefiantBoris He is checking how easy they are to work with. That is the whole point of that "standing-up exercise"

  • stewie griffin?

  • good show

  • "a holiday destination you most like(ly) MCFLY to" 00:23

  • mcfly! :D

  • 0:00:23 McFly to

  • Derren Brown should be a spy

  • I mean, the man who stays rigid and suspended in an horizontal position. They're picking him up, but he looks a bit too light to be true.

  • I watched the whole thing through, and I'm certain that this is the best magic show I've ever watched, and I've watched a lot of magic shows. It was a journey with a very rewarding ending. I don't think that it was an hour and fifteen minutes of random tricks; it was a carefully planned period of time all hinting at the end. He gave me what I expected times a million. Not only do I have no clue how he did the ending, he gave me a message to ponder: nothing is random because we can be influenced

  • 1:14:42 creepy looking lady in audience staring straight at the camera while everyone else is looking at Derren Brown freaked me out! lol

  • @PilkingtonLogic AM GONNA GET YOU ''o''._.''o''

  • thanx for the upload!

  • boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!......this dude is in a box

  • The only word I can say is: WOW (or "shit !" xD)

  • fucking hell!!

  • Click 35:00 for WTF??!?

  • Derren Brown is a noted skeptic. He is not a psychic, and in fact is dedicated to proving psychics do not exist. Anyone who claims to be a psychic is deluded or a con artist. He's just very trained, and very clever.

  • The ONLY thing making me doubt him is how freaking GOOD he is at remembering names. It's uncanny.

  • @kira902k he memorized the dictionary too lol

  • @kira902k i have his audiobook on memery it teaches you to memorize practically everything and if you master it you can remember everything you see..

also it has a special chapter on memorizing names andother attributes on people

  • @kira902k He explained it pretty damn well how to be good at it in "Tricks of the Mind" book ;) Fairly easy if you know how, hehe

  • @kira902k SAME HERE!!! :O How does he do that?

  • @kira902k You should see the show where he is counting buttons.. For a fraction of a second... After he's punched in the face.. That's awesome

  • @kira902k doesn't matter, my math professor on the university has 150 students, he knew us by name and surname after spending 12 hours with us (4 days of math x3 hours)... its just a brain of its kind :P

  • @kira902k knowing what he does by trade, i'd say he has some form of special tactic for it.

  • @kira902k Doubt him? You mean doubt his supernatural abilities? HAHA He's the first to admit he isn't psychic.

  • @kira902k if you read his book, theres a bunch of easy memory tricks in there, including one on how to remember names quickly

  • yep he predicted my choice

  • man that was amazing

  • Holy fucking shit, man! Thats awesome!

  • Duh, I don't understand how he did that...

  • ahh nothing like a good mind-fuck to fall asleep on xD

  • o...m...g.... what just happened..? :D

  • "...or maybe a holiday destination you'd most like McFly to?" Love it!

  • how could he have possible had guessed the amount of money in that guy's wallet? and the Dorris coin too...omg how??

  • Watched the first 15 minutes... Could be a simple card trick. He knew exactly where he put back the pictures of the contestants so when he spread them out on the table , he knew already who had which picture. The rest was just show. Now continuing with the rest of the show...but so far, not impressed.

  • @Funkytripz What are you saying?! He's not a wizard? It's slight of hand and not fucking mystical powers?? Noooo it can't be! Watched the whole damn thing, and it was entertaining from start to finish.

  • Truly one of the best, if not THE best showman living today.

  • go on ya mad thing brown...see you in Dublin next year...

  • you would seriously wonder why people still believe in magic invisible men in the sky creating the world and everything in it when people like derren brown consistently shows you how you are being scammed by snake oil salesmen selling you crap.

after you all looked at this its not a matter of 'could' happen...it a matter of did, does and is still happening to people like you!

If it didn't your wouldn't be human.

  • I'm guessing Emma's husband was in on the coin thing...

  • I sometimes wonder if the show The Mentalist was based on him...

  • bricks will be shitted tonight

  • the last trick is done just by sticking the correct numbers on the pictures in the envelope backstage after the guys line up in a random order.

  • Wow....just wow

  • he doesn't look gay at all, maaan the amount of pussy he COULD have got with all this mindfucking knowledge

  • @Bonepesci Excuse me, but please explain how a gay person "looks". Gay people are just people and were created exactly the same way as straight people, it's not like they have flashing signs stuck to their foreheads that say "I'M GAY!"

Your terrible ignorance is not appreciated.

  • If he would have been born 200 years ago, he would have been a god!

  • @NaxTactical actually he would have been seen as a witch xD

  • @NaxTactical several born millenia ago are actually featured in holy books as just that!

  • As much as I am amazed I still find it hard to believe that none of these are actors. For example the vinegar drinking-what if she was alergic to it? and didn't she have a strange taste in her mouth after "waking up"??

  • EVERY ONE in the HALL is an ACTOR !!!!!!!

    THAT's the truth :S

  • @fahadabid there were 1,000 people there.. they bought tickets online and at the box office and through ticket master like every one of the others that attended the same show... done every evening... in the same place for a week...and also done in other places for several months... that's over 150k people...they were all actors? do you consider that even remotely likely?

Mabe you need to look at how people work...and why you felt this was a worrying situation! hmmm?

  • @MumblingMickey

    Hey Chill man

I was saying in the sense of surprise and astonishment that normal senses couldn't explain this man performance. :-)

  • @fahadabid "that normal senses couldn't explain this man performance"

yep thats spot on...and he only has 5 senses to get past... and pretty ropey ones at that... lets hope he never considers politics as a career ehh?

  • Either Derren Brown can hit a gnat in the eye with a Frisbee, or life just no longer makes any sense. WTF, man!

  • My heart is racing. My intelect is tickled and i dont know what to do with myself...

  • @XanderReySoteras in such situations theres only one thing for it...redtube!

  • ..speechless:|

It's hard to believe he is NOT psychic

  • @HeroInc I find it easy to believe he's not psychic...what I find hard to believe is that I can be so easily fooled by someone that's definitely not psychic.

  • wut the fuck.

  • Brix were masterfully extracted...

  • there's a part missing in this version of the show (yes i was there at the front row^^): that is: the trick with the watch and the coins, too bad they are missing because they were the best tricks in the show to me. Maybe we can have the full version of this enigma show as it has actually taken place if we buy the DVD, i don't know.Has anybody bought the DVD? Great quality of this upload though Thanks.

  • @821982198219 maybe you should explain to fahadabid above how you are not an actor!

  • does anyone know how he could have done the coin with Doris' name on it? She was seemingly a random choice from the audience! Derren's amazing!

  • That solid state is just hypnosis, no trick there. I do that to myself all the time. And I've been trying to do it to others in my show. (just doing it my way.) I also love the fact that he "checks" his eyes to wake him up.

  • That solid state is just hypnosis, no trick there. I do that to myself all the time. And I've been trying to do it to others in my show. (just doing it my way.)

  • Me: The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma...

    Derren Brown imagines spilled milk.

  • There'll be GOOSE and MOOSE and APPLE JUICE o-oh yaaaa!

  • @nic1176 Spoiler fail!

  • "NA" was too simple a name to spell. Too bad the asian guy didnt think of a love one that had a more difficult to spell chinese name.

  • @kuraku3 its a throw off it wouldn't matte if the name was 140 characters long... that's nothing to do with the result. but like lots of people you'll walk away thinking two characters is easy... well clearly if he gets two characters right every time he does the show then its not the character volume that's the giveaway!

you need to think a little more laterally than that my friend. lol

  • I'm a fan of Derren BUT. Many people tend to see him as this amazing psychological expert. The truth is, he's not. He may appear to be but only 10% of all his tricks uses psychology. Some are brutally simple ones such as, pick a number between 1-10 (95% would say either 7 or 5) and the rest are sleight of hand tricks. And all the things he did on he's previous TV shows can all be achieved by an experienced stage hypnotist. However, he's presentation skills is what separates him from the rest

  • @MeltedFilms I agree. The fact that he is so good at hypnosis makes his "mentalism" seem more real.

  • @MeltedFilms Agreed he is a showman!

  • I have an idea for the bottle with vinegar. It's a bottle with 2 compartments and kind of like 1 nozzle with different holes. Depending on how you tip it., you either get vinegar or some coke.

  • @tapiwakay she didn't drink vinegar! think, who told you it was vinegar? lol was she right?

  • @MumblingMickey The first girl drank vinegar, because there was obviously vinegar in the top of the bottle, but when he took the top off, it was something different he poured into the glas... possibly cola, since he said it could taste like cola.

  • @akidanielsen Ahhhhh I was wondering how he could have done that! I do want to know how he did that spirit world box thing tho....

  • @akidanielsen well that could be it... either that or the first girl was simply wrong since it was suggested to her it was in fact vinegar.... its a marmite thing...some people love marmite...some hate it...yet we all have the same taste buds, and the marmite doesn't change...the only thing that changes is the persons perception of it.

  • @MumblingMickey I read his book 'Tricks of the mind' (it's fantastic), and he descripes there how he doesn't really believe in hypnotics. He says that some people believe themselves to be hypnotized because they want to be, while others simply just play along.

I will not say that marmite theory is wrong, but I would put my money on the simple solution. After all it is a live show, and therefore you have use a few easy tricks, to minimize the risk of failure :)

  • hoe lee shit!!!

  • just curious why does 28:17 Not affect people at home? isnt it the same thing as being there?there is sound, vision ...i watched on a 42in monitor..

  • @Dina0wnes Maybe it's about wave frequency.

  • @Dina0wnes because it uses a binaural beat which must be heard in stereo (channel a and b) which cannot be reproduced by regular (tv) recording, unless it is also dubbed and mixed into channel a and b on the tv's broadcast (and you'd have to be wearing headphones or have a true stereo speaker setup with a channel a on your left and b on your right side exactly.

  • @Dina0wnes about time i met someone thats been using their tv as a home entertainment system ... been doing that for 45 years now....I use a mac mini, low sound... unobtrusive...... yours?

  • @MumblingMickey i custom build my intel core 2 duo for gaming and then added the 42in hd panasonic tv to it 18db from all of it

then a 5.1 speker system to make it loud.

  • @Dina0wnes i meant 4/5 years there...clearly not 45 years....

The problem with using a bog standard lcd or plasma is the dot pitch is quiet large...and its really not geared to get the best out of a good gfx card... but it beats the shit out of sitting at a 19" crappy monitor...

except for upgrades I gave up building my own pc's a while back, it was more trouble than it was worth.

more or less the same setup I have in the living room... although this does have fuck all to do with derren brown

  • SICK ..

  • you cant call this just a mind blower this is a real MIND-FUCK!

  • @ethrez :)

  • The only thing I'm still curious about is the Dorris thing.

Unless Emma really is an actor, I can't see how he did that.

  • @MajesticTOASTER so you say you honestly know, how he did all of the other tricks right? ;)

  • @MajesticTOASTER It gets pretty clear if you sit down and imagine yourself "making" the show, how would you do it?

I believe he ran a background check on members of the audience, finding a dead grandmother isn't impossible to lookup, then they probably arranged it so she was seated in a known spot, Derren surely practiced alot trying to throw the plate at that particular area. Could be? I'm not saying thats how it was done, but it is one way of doing it of course.

  • @MajesticTOASTER Yeah, how do you explain the thing he threw out there?

  • @NorwayIsMyCountry Well, if by 'thing' you mean the frisbee, then the simplest explanation is that he just practiced throwing it in the correct direction to the right person prior to the show.

I mean, the man is capable of memorizing dictionaries in minutes and spouting off random words from any given page, I'm sure throwing a frisbee is within reach.

  • @MajesticTOASTER I'm sorry about my bad English but i don't believe he practiced to threw the Frisbee too all that people. you are simply just denying everything...

  • @NorwayIsMyCountry No, I am denying nothing.

Actually, to believe that Derren did it any other way would be "denying everything".

  • @MajesticTOASTER That is true, but if he was throwing out Frisbee's out like that at each show to an actor, he would be a world champion!

  • @NorwayIsMyCountry Agreed brown uses subterfuge to create his illusions...he's not a world class frisbee thrower. So it didn't matter who caught the frisbees... that was in fact the whole point...and that's why he came up with it!

  • @MajesticTOASTER And since he =does 3 shows a night over the course of several weeks just happened to get it abortively spot on every single time... do you thinks that is likely?

why not face the facts... you've been had, you don't like it... are startled by it and are now worried any other silly ideas you have might be something similar... well done... you'd be right!

his mentalism is several orders greater than any mediocre crap you might hear elsewhere.

  • @MumblingMickey Do I think the man is capable of throwing a frisbee to the right person every time?

That's like asking me if I think a brain surgeon is capable of preforming brain surgery every time they are scheduled to.

YES. Of course he can get it "spot on every single time". It's his JOB to do exactly that.

And no, I am not in any way "worried" by anything. Derren himself has said many times that he doesn't believe in psychics, so how could he possibly be one himself? He's just deceptive.

  • @MajesticTOASTER Nah, he isn't capable of memorizing dictionairies in minutes nor sprouting off random words from a book he didn't read beforehand.

What you're talking about was most probably a book test. A book test is a fairly classic mentalism trick in which one indeed seemingly knows the words of an entire book. There's a whole range of techniques that can be used.

The most impressive one in my opinion is Chan Canasta's one, in the Mike Parkinson show. (/watch?v=5jqiQ2kr3Os starts at 2:00)

  • Theres obviously no spirits and stuff, haha. And he knows that too. But he really can put on a show so it doesnt matter. Its okay to let go of reality for an hour and have some fun

  • Wicked how we all forgot that the first paper he took out and gave away was of course never written be an audience member. Misdirection in a charming and fast paced way. He really is an artist.

  • Genius its that simple thats haow he does it!

  • MIND = BLOWN!!!!!!!!!!1

  • michelle obama commercial anyone?

  • david copperfield anyone? the spirit chamber at 45:47 is very similar to copperfield's performance, albeit in a british accent!

  • perhaps he drugged adam? for 0:35:00?

  • how to fuck did he do that last trick? FUCK! im so confused.

  • There is about a minute and thirteen seconds in between the time that Derren says aloud what the guys random order is (1 3 2 6 4 5) and the time whe Ian (guy number 5) is told to go back and get the "predictions in the box near the curtain. I think after Derren read off the guys order (1 3 2 6 4 5), his helpers backstage had to look through a set of 36 cards (there are 6 cards of each of the 6 pictures with the numbers 1-6 on the back), they found the 6 needed cards and put them in the box ..

  • @AaronHubler oh, a clever one the mc fly?

  • @AaronHubler like he said. nothing is random. it was all planned. but he delivers it in a way that it seems random. very good with mind play.

  • wow

playing on human mind is XD

  • omg rebecca black at 5:50

  • I'm suing Derren for mental rape !

  • so how does he do it?

LOL and i know its not a ghost or paranormal activity...

this amazing trick has mindfucked me....
