Very good technique! According to common swimming literature (e. g. Maglischo, Swimming Fastest), his arm extension at the end of the stroke is to excessive. The arm should not be fully extended because the forearm will start to push water upwards instead of backwards, causing deceleration.
Great technique. I like the cupping of the arm and hand. Don't know if that would be the best technique for long distance as the legs are working hard, but the entry into the water look efficient enough. it's almost like a punch and push/pull. nice one. thanks for the demo.
Too much rotation, too much tension,

I noticed his kick pauses every stroke he takes, just for a moment, don't know if that is intentional, but I would assume it isn't.

I'm not flexible enough to do such a nice high elbow :[
the only thing I can pick out is that he stops kicking completely when his arm is paused out in front...always have a steady freestyle kick.

Nice job! I really liked the dryland shots and working the high elbow.
Not sure if the swimmer isn't gliding too much in the water in my view (some deceleration), but overall a really innovative posting.
