Why is she performing behind the backup girls? Would any lead vocalist do that, in this day and age? (maybe a wardrobe malfunction--with shakin't like that, their dresses must take a beating! I saw her do PM on tv shortly after it became popular; My young eyes weren't able to describe her performance. But if they could've, I'd describe her as a force of nature, unstoppable.

Not only are other musicians inspired by her music, but women in particular rejoice in her strength of character.

Does anyone else realize her face is swollen with make up on it and her voice is several octaves lower as well as she's in the back as if to say she wasn't feeling well or hurting?? Poor Tina but legendary

A great song, thanks to the crazy Phil Specter who recorded with no Ike (that was the deal) and made Europe discover the incedible Tina Turner. This was a no 1 hit in Europe, and I think a 0 hit in the USA. One reason why Tina claims she chose to make her home in Europe over the U.S.
