  • Reminds me of Impellitteri

  • INSANE SOLO

  • good stuff but its so wanna b yngwie and its so been done.dont get me wrong,i enjoy the stuff.

  • I don't know who Doogie white is, but he sure does fit the Japanese neo-classaical metal scene.

  • @Dave102693 He is mostly known for being the last singer of Rainbow. He was also almost the singer for Iron Maiden back in the mid-90's, but lost the job to Blaze Bayley.

  • @Skullkiller79 Oh ok, but either way, he has a pretty good voice, not the best, but good engough for me.

  • the song begins at 2:08

  • this song = win

  • is it just me, or does the singer look like ozzy? XD

  • @theunitedspeed I was thinking Joe Stump... hahaha.

  • Taka is AWESOME and the Singer is AWESOME too!!! great guitar, great voice!

  • That video would relate to the music better had it actually been plugged in...

  • dont hate on Doogie White he is AWESOME!

  • is him the japanese malmsteen ??? Not the same technic but the performance

  • takayoshi ! ^^ the singer is really good

  • Low budget music video for the win.

I like this song. Takayoshi Ohmura really put in a great guitar part.

  • @XAlphaZEROX Indeed. Can't agree with you more.

  • Niggers hatin on singer cuz they jealous they will never stand near Taka.

  • @EddieTh3Ead This particular singer did better than this in his life. Rainbow, malmsteen.... I'm not impressed with his work in this song. However it doesn't really give him much to work with either.

  • @EddieTh3Ead lol this is true. He does live rather far away from me.

  • @EddieTh3Ead That and Doogie is about a billion times better than they are. He'll always be my favorite vocalist. Perhaps they're also jealous that they've never stood next to Yngwie (my fucking idol)

  • @fretburner18 Boooooo. 80s Malmsteen, sure. Nowadays, I doubt even Malmsteen would admit what he does on the guitar is anything special. Idolization is the biggest detriment to progress, my friend. With it, we will never realize that we can go and do likewise.

  • @EddieTh3Ead The term idol in my previous comment was referring to Yngwie being an inspiration. Mostly from Rising Force to Fire and Ice. I don't sound exactly like him of course. I sound more like Andy from King Diamond and Hank from Mercyful Fate. Yngwie is the one who inspired me to practice like crazy and think outside the box. It was EVH who inspired me to pick up the guitar in the first place though.

  • @EddieTh3Ead now that you mention that i kind of am

  • This is very good = True Metal!

  • Ohmura doesn't need a singer at all.

  • Ohmura is a Genius !!

    - This guy can't sing and this Clip is so bad !!

  • Comment removed

  • @silverstorm he wouldnt be the same without a strat, honestly a jackson or dean guitar wouldnt suit him at all

  • this guy can't sing, Ohmura needs a better vocalist.

  • haha that power stance what a legend :P

  • No wonder the girl is running , shes trying to get away from that guys horrible singing

  • OMG. Joe Stump singing with TO :)))))))) LOL

  • He ruins Taka & should have had a better singer? Haha yes ...like u find singers like Doogie everyday....

  • the siger ruins this guitarist, ohmura is fucking amazing and he should have a better singer

  • @greendrugdealer Doogie is amazing.

  • All the Malmsteen comparisons are complete bullshit. If Syu did exactly what he did on a strat and Takayoshi did his thing on a different guitar everyone would be calling Syu the Malmsteen ripoff.

    Oh well :P

    Ohmura's awesome.

  • This is real music.

  • @MaxxxwellC As opposed to all the rest of the music out there? As much as I like Ohmura's guitar work, this song is fucking garbage.

  • is this guy on tv and stuff? cuz this sounds like they recorded it on a tascam or something.

  • The only Japanese artist I like. Perhaps it's just because I'm such a big fan of Doogie.

  • Wow, Malmsteen, oops...I mean Ohmura...plays really well here ;)

  • this is so gay i odnt know what to call it i hate this cheap bull shit

  • Takayoshi is fuckin awesome. And Doogie kinda sounds a little like a higher pitched Blaze Bailey....

  • takayoshi good.

  • Shred like Malmsteen ^^ <3

  • malmsteen shred LIKE takayoshi ;)

  • @zakken24 ide say ova way around considering malmsteen has a few decades on takayoshi

  • @zakken24 takayoshi shreds like Malmsteen ;)

  • He sings very bad

  • And you ?

  • at least Doogie's better than Nov...

  • Not Doogie's best performance but not BAD...

  • Doogie is so bad in this music ...

  • His voice is similar to mark boals form ring of fire XD

  • Doogie totally looks like Ozzy...might be his little brother..

  • ESP has cool strats

  • @jerwinrocks thats the famous ESP Snapper wich u can only find in JAPAN =( amazing guitars

  • 2:52-2:53

    Nice :D

  • ペンタ速っ!!!!!!

    ドギーピッチ悪っ。。歌、テキトーに録ったな。。。

  • geez doogie sure has gained weight, he kinda looks like malmsteen

  • god damn it takayoshi, why you gata be like malmsteen, well at least now a days you gat your own style, I hate malmsteens style

  • Doogie's voice sucks... sorry.

  • Singer is defenetly an ozzy fan

  • he's like doing chidori on his guitar.. hehe!

  • better than on a katana ^^

  • and i just realised how cheap and nasty the vid clip is .dont want to get to picky lol

  • by the way im not saying that guitarist is gus g im not that retarded

  • this singer is crap well actually the the band should split and go do there own thing guitarist is awsome go gus g

  • id like it better if it didnt sound to me like the singer was trying to imitate Dio

  • yeah it does sound like he's trying to imitate Dio good song though

  • damn I like this song so much but doogies voice kills it.

  • I can see the Yngwie comparison...but I think taka, tends to creep out of the neo classical thing in his solos...I ema they are for the most part, but then there's parts that are completely not...I'm drunk...sorry...it's good shit...

  • Lol I honestly don't see a comparison between Malmsteen and Ohmura other than they both use scalloped frets. Malmsteen tends to linger on the same borring, sweeped arpegios over and over, where as Takayoshi has a very unique soloing and playing style that never sounds the same. IMO Takayoshi is way better than Malmsteen could ever hope to be simply because Malmsteen has no originality in his playing.

  • every one's style originates from something takayoshi's style may be similar to Malmsteen's but malmsteen strictly play Neo-Classical rock takayoshi's style varies in different genre than malmstens how do you know if malmsteen was takayoshi's hero at one point

  • Lol I can't tell if you're arguing with me or agreeing with me, cause we both basically said the same thing.

  • haha I'm Agreeing

  • ohmura does have quite a lot of inspiration from malmsteen but dosent always use them, when he does malmsteen' style neoclassical he puts a contempery spin on it while malmsteen still thinks hes in the 70s where he thought he ruled

  • Would be nice if the quality was better... Great song though.

  • yeah And OHMURA vestiments looks like Yngwie too (y)

    simply.. OHMURA ROX!

  • Yngwie's Japanese counterpart. Really does look like yngwie in this especially cuz theres doogie white from yngwie albums.

  • i find it hard playing guitar when wearing rings on my right hand

  • Not if you're Takayoshi

  • yeah I agree... I think we should practice but, it is wotrh ? it 's like wierd in your right hand..

  • @ShredLi01

im left handed and can play with rings on my right hand..i use em as a glissando slide also.

  • takayoshi ohmura rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lightning and plug in guitar don't goes together... that's the show !!!!

  • Doogie White... he sang for Malmsteen's album " Attack " right ? what a coincidence.....

  • Attack and Unleash the Fury

  • LMAO !:51 and on i love the blue lightning xDD

  • I agree lol... that's cheesy !!!

  • juaputa desde colombia ohmura uno de los mejores

  • heh no shit.. even nicked his singer!

  • the video was fine until that cheap Adobe Premiere electric "thunders" appeared XD. Anyway excellent song

  • bad singer !! hate this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this guitarist is the best but the thing that freaks me out is the thunder what's up with that.

  • Regarding the "ohlolsoundslikeYngwie" argument, my personal opinion is that, whilst Malmsteen is undoubtedly one of Takayoshi's key influences, Takayoshi has his own distinct style. Indeed, I'd say his playing is instantly recognizable. Not that my opinion is worth shit, but hey :P

  • i think you are right my friend....

tokayoshi in my opinion has his own style....

now the fact that he is a shreeder make people think that he is copying malmsteen....

a cant understand why a shreeder should copy malmsteen or vai or satriani...

here is an example of another guitarist....

    tokayoshi ftw!!!!!!!!

  • this is the worst performance of doggy....

  • Doogie White sang for Malmsteen from 2001-2008. This makes perfect sense that he would play with someone who plays like Malmsteen

  • Awesome i want this song :D

  • I love the singer: Doogie White is one the best singer for me. I find that he known to give any emotions. Also, Takayoshi ohmura is a fantastic guitar player, one of the best for me. The solo is like alway, very very good.

It's a very very good song for my opinion

  • bad singer.. in my opinion is a bad quality for a video.. but takayoshi is good.. IN MY OPIniON

  • Just going to point out it should be written Oumura. there is no single h or syllables ending in h.

  • as i said before its about time some hears a DISTANT THUNDER from down under japans one and only answer to the mighty MALMSTEEN this dude fuckin roXx

  • What about Syu?

  • Yeah. He's only 25 yrs too late.

  • That was a smokin' hot solo!!

  • i like the vocals and the guitarist

but takayoshi's guitar isn't plugged in...

  • they have wirless plug in's mabey thats what it is. not trying to dish you just a suggestion

  • look at the input jack, there's nothing in it

  • they're never plugged in for music videos.

  • considering that he seems to be playing in the rain, having any juice running through that would be a "health and safety" hazard

  • lol do you even know how music videos are made? lmao did you really think they played the song live in the middle of a forest?

  • Obviously not, that was what I like to call "a joke". I probably should have put a sarcasm tag on it, just to make it clearer, considering the fact it was a bit shit.

  • lol sorry not you spenceros. the comment was replied to ayenima who says takayoshi's guitar isnt plugged in

  • Ayenima. I like your sarcasm.

  • i like dougie white very much

  • AWESOME! Takayoshi is one of the best! Cool Sound!!! great singer and they all are super great!!! really like the sound!!!

  • play fast=malmsteen? This song doesnt sound like malmsteen for me

  • aeh, I think they mean asian+playing fast= Malmsteen :D

    I don't agree though

  • I meant I dont agree with the equation, I agre with you.

  • i lol'd when the lightning effects appeared on his fretboard

  • You know that was real.

  • this guy is so much better than malmsteen, hes as fast but not repedative at all :)

  • i love this guitarist but this vid is so dumb

  • haha I wish I was another malmsteen clone

  • Hey thats the guy who sang for yngwie malmsteem in Rising Force. lol

  • lol his neck in his guitar in this vid is really stained lol... just goes to show how much this dude practice on that guitar..

he should get a neck change...ha ha...

  • ur dumb

he wants that it looks so it's called vintage look

  • ok ok.... i'm sry... its just an opinion

  • If he is dumb you're retarded. When you play a neck as much as Takayoshi does it get worn down. And "vintage" is relicing. You don't relic necks. Don't post if you don't know what you're talking about.

  • then tell me why would a guitarist like takayoshi want his guitar to look all worn out on a music video

  • Because he isn't given a new guitar anytime he wants. He has like 4 sig models. Then he has his Gibsons, Ibanez and Fenders.

  • well if he wants a new guitar

i don't think it'll take more than a month or anything like that

so i don't think he can really get his guitar into that condition so quickly

but oh well he still is an awesome guitarist !

  • Probably because it's just a video, and it goes with the look and feel of the video. Nothing more. Nothing less.

  • or if he worn the neck him self from playing ,it might be one of his fav gutiars to play...i know my reliced self moded fender knock off feels comfy to play, even more then my 900$ dean .soo it could just be that he really likes the guitar, why mess with something thats good right lol

  • LOL "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." :)

  • Indeed lol

  • because a neck like that is just so sexy.

  • It's a scalloped neck, his fingers don't touch the frets, only the strings. My own guitar has a neck like this. So it's not about the intense playing.

  • Is it easy to use? I've been thinking about getting a scalloped neck for my strat.

  • it can feel wierd the first times playing, but i thik it is a lot easier to play, since there is no friction against the fretboard from the fingers (you cant simply reach the wood :P), bending and vibrato gets easier and more precise too, i think the chords get easier since you can grip individual strings easier, but then again you dont get any support from the wood under your fingers...

  • It's cool, I wouldn't play one exclusively, because:

1: you may not like it

2: you may get to used to it, which isn't good.

Basically, the main effect is the friction from the wood is eliminated, you have more control over your bends and vibrato. For faster staccato stuff, it definitely isn't ideal. I would say try it, or if it's not to much of a financial issue just get it, but not for a guitar that is your one and only guitar.

    Hope this helps.

  • I scalloped my own neck a hwile back. It feels almost the same 2 me... idk y. I scalloped it very very deep.

  • kinda like glam rock in the 80's huh

  • its japan

the whole Cute factor really gets the ladies

i mean it got so bad during the early 90s to the late 90s guys actually crossed dressed.

and would tease girls by almost or actually making out with a fellow "Male" band member

(not all did this) but yeah...it worked the shows would be like 70 to 80% girls

im not dissing japan i actually love the country and its culture so please dont flame me lol

  • cool, i didnt mean any thing bad just think he would look cool with a more rugged style

  • lol is that your way of saying you kinda dig him :-D

  • Takayoshi totally rips in this album indeed!

  • I've no idea who that singer is, but I don't like him very much. :P

I love Takayoshi Ohmura though, he's like a (guitar)god to me!! xD

The song overall is not too bad.

  • I like his songs, but I hate the mix on his albums. They sound kinda bad overall.

  • this song is the best off the album, the rest is kinda gay.

I wish he had more instrumental stuff.

  • he has stolen the singer from yngwie malmsteens rising force!!

Perfektes Gitarrenspiel ich gebe 5 Punkte

  • well thats cos malmsteen is to good to paly with anyone but himself adna mirior...in fact i hear dwhen he does live shows the have a giant 2 way mirror so teh fans cans ee through adn he cans ee him self....>..>

  • The singer is not so good. He's often of tune!

  • Unfortunitly I've got to agree... I think his voice as nothing to do with the music itself.

  • This is the same singer from Yngwie Malmsteen...

  • yeah, but takayoshi smokes yngwie

  • Sorry, the original in this case is much better than the copy, a lot more class and not just 2 or 3 good songs like this kid, but entire albums worth of it. better technique does not mean better musician, besides Yngwie played WAY better than this kid when he was his age.

  • Agree with that. This kid is ok, but faster doesn't mean better. No need to play a trillion notes per second if the sound is shitty. Listen to slower solos. No feeling, problems to keep the tone. Yngwie has much much more style and, hey, he almost invented that style, so...

  • Uli Roth pretty much started the whole Neo-Classical thing

but anyway some one is always surpassing some one in technique,if it WASNT for Yngwie this guy might not be where he is today

as for music i find it silly to compare musicians since each person is different and has their own Perspective on mainly every thing...its just stupid to compare...its like trying to convince another person that the color Green is Better then Purple

  • Green is obviously superior to purple

  • =0 lol

Green is way better then Death
