fashion design sure is a very old kind of artistic expression, i'd say that the most inovative concepts come usually from male designers, and i am not being sexist, but it is true, marie divanci is the only woman i can recognize as a true talent in the industry, but i hated when she presented a collection totally inspired and based on carlos campos' 2007 fall's collection.

i loved leanne's style (she wore her line leanimal all season,) blane was sometimes hot (only with a plain t-shirt on) but c'mon, christian, uli, jillian, JEFFERY (who wouldn't wear those?), laura, michael? chloe? santino? daniel v? (hot, yet gay, tear.) those were some of the REAL starlits of project runway. dont get me wrong, leanne is awesome, but the past four seasons were better. much better. plus kenley's attitude was bad. to be a designer you have to take critisim.

I absolutely love Leanne's line. I think she did go a little overboard with the theme of her line, but nonetheless, every outfit was phenomenal. She has such a good eye for fashion, and the architecture of each piece was beautiful in it's own way. Every top and bottom were so different. I think you can see throughout the season that everything she makes, she makes with a a fashion forward perfection. I hope she does very well, and am excited to see what else she comes up with in the future.

I was kinda surprised that Leanne won. My initial reaction was that Leannes collection all looked the same, every outfit had those petals/waves or whatever you call them. Her stuff was cute, but a few of the outfits all looked the same and all pretty much the same colors. Kenley had the best outfits, it was probably her attitude that got her beat and that's a shame, they ought to judge clothes and not personalities.

The judges said this was a very hard decision. The collections were very close, this contest could have went either way. None of these designers 'stood out' over the others, its was a numbers game and someone had to win. The judges liked Kenley's collection a lot, and the only critique of her was a copycat, she wasn't criticized on her actual work. Leanne had some critical comments on her actual work. To say kenley was lame and boring is wrong. The judges liked what she did.

I don't know if Leanne will win or lose, but I will say that I thought she had execution issues on a few pieces and after the third model, I started to get bored with the whole pleating thing. The same concept, her "architectural" waves on EVERY model.

She could win, but if so, it might be because there wasn't much competition.

All in all-- the WEAKEST of the Five Project Runway seasons. By far.

There's a fine line between cohesion/signature and monotony, and I think Leanne treads that line perfectly.

There's something refreshing about the light blue on cream. I think this is repetition that works, because it builds on itself in new and complex ways. The wedding dress really sealed the deal on this one, I say Leanne's the winner.

This collection masterfully combined couture with wearability. This is high fashion at it's best. For me this is the best as it has a great idea it fits the models amazingly well and it is so soft and feminine. Some of those dresses were so beautiful they were art. That one white number with the amazing collar on the african american model was absolutely lovely. This is true fashion and she should win. Korto was also good however Leanne had a better overall collection and Leanne's fit better.

I think the show did all the designers a dis-service by not giving them more time for the collections (about half the time as previous seasons).

With more time, I think they could have taken more risk and attempted to be more innovative and original. With limited time and so much to do, it makes one stick with what they know.

I think it's definitely between her and Korto. I actually think Leanne's is a little stronger, because of her strong continuity and obvious care with how she cuts and fits her dresses and fabrics. I liked the petal motif, though I agree, there was a lot of it. If you go on her website, you get a better idea of who she is as a designer, and I really like her use of muted pallets and architectural pleats and cuts.

That is so true, I also thought that Korto's taste is very much like Chloe from S2, bright fabrics and interesting cuts that really make women's bodies stand out. But I truly thought even though his designs are more intriguing than that of Chloe's, she really could not match Chloe in the cuts and finishing. I agree with previous posters and I can see how Leanne could craft her vision so vividly on fabrics that just seem like pieces of papers with so many different shapes.

I adore Leanne's collection! Next to Kenley's or Korto's, it feels the most like a collection -- you can imagine Leanne's woman wearing those clothes in her work life and her social life. It feels fresh and lively and youthful.

Re: the LI host's complaints about Korto's dress and Leanne's pleating: I'm a lawyer, not a critic, but I thought that the runway was meant to be the dramatic fantasy collection, and then the clothes could be simplified for everyday women.

I'd vote Leanne 1, Korto 2.
