That is the Fraser River. Lake of the woods is a pond sized lake but very deep.The water is used for drinking water for local resident. My parents used to live on Ross road which is a 5 minute walk away. It's a very nice lake and no gas engines allowed on boats.Some nice high areas to jump off in to the lake and last time I was there it had a few ropes around the lake tied to tree's for swinging in to the lake.
OK, just watch the place in Google Earth 5.0 too!!!
I think it's Kawkawa lake.

I'm 51, i've seen that movie many times, for me it's one of the best screenplay & photography.
I fell in love with those places, and I HOPE :), one day i could visit that beautyfull town.

Maybe in the movie it was said to be a lake. Then lake seen would be correct. I can't remember though. ;)
