I saw you live at the Hell Fire Festival in Birmingham 2009 and you were absolutely amazing. You told a story about a tune you wrote whilst you had an injured back. I cant remeber exactly what it was called?....but it was an angry song and I loved it! What is it called and can you post it on youtube / myspace for others to see too??
Which album is it from?
5*'s as usual....that must get boring for you... ;)
Ah, that would be "Bad Backs" which appears on the 2nd and most recent album "Whatever Next?"! I do enjoy that one - you may see it posted online in the not too distant future...
@aldobu1990 at the time of recording I didn't have a Laney amp so the guitar was going into a regular mixer! I'm not sure on the make. On the guitar, the EQ was pretty flat, a little extra treble, not too much mid range. The mic/piezo blend about halfway. The string gauge at the time was 13-56 so no too much bass! A little extra reverb added. On my Laney 65 I tend to have the bass and lo mid higher than the hi mid and treble, tweaked here and there depending on the venue! Hope that helps!!
@cstillpass: I hate it when guitar fanboys like you wanna get into a pissing contest on youtube. If you are a fan of music like this you should know better. When players play at this level ( and yes this guy is at that level) its stupid to say one is better than the other. Its all about style and what you prefer. And yes I am a big fan of Andy McKee but its not up to me to decide who is superior nor do I care. i just listen to the music.
@jay5775 : Thanks Jay, much appreciated! It's natural for some people to draw comparisons between guitar players. I've been compared to Andy McKee favourably and not so, but at the end of the day I do what I do and he does what he does! And I have to say that Andy McKee is one of my all time favourite guitar players.
wow this is brilliant, i heard this about a year ago and loved it then! completely new to this, you've inspired me to play guitar so i just wanted to say a massive thank you!! can't beleive i didnt follow you up sonner. but just to ask how can i get a copy of your music? online? again, amazing performance. loved it! :)
i saw you at the guitar show in reghed a couple of years ago, and you we're pretty damn amazing, infact we did meet briefly when i bought a guitar from you lol. Cec7 nat classical. It's very nice.
Hey! Thanks for the compliments, truly appreciated. I remember you indeed! The CEC7 is a fine tool indeed, demoed one not so long ago in Colchester, and loved it as ever. I'll be in Cumbria again this August Bank Holiday, with the second CD in tow :)
duuuuuude saw you in stafford grammar the other day was pretty sick i got to say. You played this exact song as well.
Loved the last one the best i dun if you got that on youtube but it was the one where your mate said "it sounded like the world was going to explode" and then someone from the audience said "what becuase it is so bad?"
Yeah but awesome and good luck with whatever your aiming for like.
Hey I saw you at Stafford Grammar too. I just subscribed to you I was one of the guys at the end who played guitar and you gave me your CD. I listened to it loads and it is amazing. You are definitaly the best guitarist I have ever seen. Don't listen to the haters who listen to crappy R&B and that poppy stuff and don't like your music because I am a real musician and I probably appreciated that concert the most out of anyone in there and undestand how hard it would be. You are amazing andgood...
luck Wherever you may go. You have really inspired me to persue music as a career in life. I have been working at my guitar playing a lot recently to possibly someday become as good as you, even though I probably won't for a loooooooooooong time. Thank you so much for doing that concert at our school as I know you did it for free. Loads of my friends are still talking about you here. You are amazing and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise. (rated your video
Hey Adam! I remember you - Am I right in thinking you play a veritable plethora of instruments? Thanks for taking the time to write on here, and no, I won't worry too much about hip hop and R&B fans not liking my music, they aren't really my target audience ;)
Thanks again for your compliments, they are truly appreciated.
YO man! you are the funk! Greate stuff thank you so much for soming to our college it was amazing! i need to start uploading soon! was gr8 talking to you was much much apreciated
Open C#! Low to high - C#,G#,C#,F,G#,C#. It's effectively open D tuned down a half step. I use Elixir 13-56 to keep the tension so nothing is too floppy!!
Is your music on amazon or iTunes at all? I would love to buy an actual hard CD rather than a digital download
