Good for the standard kart. I have a time of 2:23.274 (i think) with daisy on the mach bike. To improve your time to a 2:40 try using the flame flyer.

i have only had mario kart for a week and i have unlocked loads of stuff and i have got funky kong but i dont know how to know how many expert ghost times i have unlocked. i have those nintendo ghost data on every track but i dont know how to tell if they are expert ghost data. please help i dont understand it.

I just bought mario kart and this might sound stupid but the expert ghost data, for example to unlock funky kong you need 4 baby luigi 8 , do you beat a rival ghost to get the data or get over a certain time limit on a specific course?

Both.

You have to beat a certain time limit that is a few seconds or so less than the time of the staff ghost for that course. You do not need to race against the ghost, but can if you want to.

Check out GameFAQs for the times. They might not be 100% accurate but are pretty close.

beat a normal staff ghost by a sertain amount of time... maybe 3, 7 or 11 seconds

you go to time trial mode and if you click on a track you should see a time set my NIN*(name) hich is a creator of the game. Beat this time by how ever many seconds . when you finish the race it will come up with in the bottom left saving ghost race, then if you have unlocked it it will say something like well done expert ghost staff unlocked.. hope this helped :P

Because, that is the highest time that someone from GFAQs did that still unlocked the Expert Ghost. It is an estimate, but some of them are really close to the actual times.
