I am both a cyclist and a driver and I can't tell you the number of times I've been riding to the right of the lane and harrassed (I ride about 5k mi/yr). Once some asshole ON A BACK COUNTRY ROAD WHERE THERE IS NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND I AM CAUSING NO DISRUPTION TO TRAFFIC FLOW drove by TWICE to spray me with washer fluid. I've also had bottles and other objects thrown at me. I pay for roads too and I ride so I can keep healthy and I don't appreciate my life being put in danger by assholes.

Riding in a group is fun and much safer than riding solo in some places. I've had two friends intentionally run off the road while they were commuting home. And I can't tell you how many times i've heard people yell to bikers to "get on the sidewalk." The Critical Mass rides seem like a good idea.

I am both a cyclist and a driver and I can't tell you the number of times I've been riding to the right of the lane and harrassed (I ride about 5k mi/yr). Once some asshole ON A BACK COUNTRY ROAD WHERE THERE IS NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND I AM CAUSING NO DISRUPTION TO TRAFFIC FLOW drove by TWICE to spray me with washer fluid. I've also had bottles and other objects thrown at me. I pay for roads too and I ride so I can keep healthy and I don't appreciate my life being put in danger by assholes.

How do you figure that motorbikers are more of a danger than you cyclists? After all a motorbike easily keeps pace with traffic when speeds ever reach 30mph or more, cyclists rarely do.
In bus lanes, cyclist hold up the progression of buses, whereas motorbikers don't. At traffic lights who is it you see jumping red lights? I'll give you a clue here...it's NOT the motorbiker. It's the cyclist, who decides that when the lights are red it's a sign to ignore them or ride on the pavement.

Riding in a group is fun and much safer than riding solo in some places. I've had two friends intentionally run off the road while they were commuting home. And I can't tell you how many times i've heard people yell to bikers to "get on the sidewalk." The Critical Mass rides seem like a good idea.

From what I understand, the criminal mass riders were blocking the police, and when asked to move, they refused. The officers asked again, saying they it was urgent, and a couple of the riders said "make us move." So they did. BTW, does everyone here know that it's common for criminal mass riders to key parked SUV's?

Nothing like judging people and actions from an "after the situation" video. Sence when do the police have to give a criminal warning before detaining them? The dudes on a bike, do you want them give him a chance to get away? What if this guy fits a profile of a wanted criminal? Just listen to all you judgementle people.

The crowd is even worse for not even physically acting. Cursing and yelling various profanities is not going to stop these abusive pigs. The crowd should have teamed up grabbed some of these pigs, and curb stomped them. You know, give them a taste of their own medicine!

are you a moron? why would you feel if you need to drive down the street to get to the hospital, and you see 100 cyclist beng an ass just strolling along the street, blocking the traffics, stopping the intersection and cussing and throwing shit at you because yo are trying to pass them?
