it's always in the frickin cold. last year one of the girls in our dorm set the fire alarm off with a hot shower. it went off at 1am, 4am, and 7am, on exam day. i slept straight thru the second one. by the 3rd one, everyone was sleeping in their rooms. so if there was a real fire, we'd be toast. public safety doesn't even check the rooms. they leave that to us (we're supposed to run down the hall, bang on people's doors and yell "fire")
