I loved this movie. I'm a huge fan of Matt Damon, I recommend it. Anyway, if you have any other movies to recommend within the 'supernatural' theme, please shout them out! I would be interested.
It wasn't a bad movie... it was quite nice actually! But the trailer makes it look more "adventurous" than it really is! It was just a drama... a very quite movie! But a nice one nontheless!

Well when Damon invites the kid up to his hotel room for a "reading" I had to lift my eyebrow up a little. In the U.S. they beat you up for that. I guess in the UK this must be ok. LOL!

if you want an epic movie with all effects and all..then this is not the movie for you. its really slow-paced but the contents make you ponder alot. hardly even musical scores are added. but i liked it alot and even cried in the theatre near the end.
I don't care what anyone says. This movie is fantastic. Deffinatly a keeper. I so regret not seeing this in the theater. So good take my word for it. My favorite Clint movie so far.

I was like thrilled to see Clint Eastwood was directing this film, plus-- the trailer looked really good. So, I invited my friends to go see it, and oh boy, they were angry at me..I personally thought it wasn't the WORST movie ever. Some of the things I hated was how slow the movie progressed, the movie was 2hrs and it felt like I was watching LOTR. Overall, 2.5-/5stars

I myself usually tolerate dissapointing films but I expected more from Eastwood & the excellent cast of the film. Sorry about your friends, maybe the slow non clearly answered theme of the film was not their cup of tea. The movie was a little too long. Somewhat boring at times but I seemed to cry everytime Marcus was on screen, I know it's just a movie but that poor boy! :/

I myself not like this movies but this ones was awesome. something different from the ones we have used to like NY being destroyed and explotions all the time. and about the trailer thing the 50% of the movies' trailers shows the movie way better. in this trailer the movie seems to have too much action. but it was pretty awesome. you can tell from the rest of the comments

There's no coincidence in life or in the movie that peoples paths cross for a moment of ministering to one another or encouragement at just the right time. God's timing is perfect, unfortunately most of us (including me) want things to happen on our time. Coincidence is God chosing to remain anonymous. If we seek Him, we'll find him. I've heard first hand testimony of the after life and it's amazing. Accept the gift of salvation and life now and ever after will be amazing. God bless!

i'll tell you what happen when you die. first you die then you get buried under 8 feet of dirt. then after like 30 years all meat, organs, tissue etc, in your body with decompose and you would be nothing left but a skeleton. for me i rather be buried without a casket in the rain forest, so nature can do its job and turn me into fertilizer. and then a plant can grow from me and that plant will produce oxygen which you will breath. so that means i died so you can live.

Funny how people are still being scammed by movie rippoff remakes.
This film lacks what the original has in many ways.
First is originality -it has none.
Second is reason - it has no back story no reason for why.
Content - no emotional reason to care what happens just to be a voyeur.
I have lost respect for Eastwood,
The Dead Zone is a classic and Christopher Walken did the role perfectly.

I was like thrilled to see Clint Eastwood was directing this film, plus-- the trailer looked really good. So, I invited my friends to go see it, and oh boy, they were angry at me..I personally thought it wasn't the WORST movie ever. Some of the things I hated was how slow the movie progressed, the movie was 2hrs and it felt like I was watching LOTR. Overall, 2.5-/5stars

@msharleyquinzel, I agree it was too long and too slow developping into something the audience could enjoy or support. I myself usually tolerate dissapointing films but I expected more from Eastwood & the excellent cast of the film. Sorry about your friends, maybe the slow non clearly answered theme of the film was not their cup of tea. But I still liked it, not as clearly answering the question but at least considering the answers. Not the greatest film on the subject but not too bad either.

The half the movie was subtitled from French!! It has a Headache inducing soundtrack.
The movie jumped around and we didn't get a chance to even care about the characters!!

there is no proof for god, think about it this way you cannot disprove god nor can you prove god exist. And the same goes for Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, boogie man etc. so literally when your praying you might as well pray to the tooth fairy because the same thing is going to happen every time. "god" is just another fairy tale creature , if there was a god of the universe that "being" will be beyond what we humans can comprehend.

@bboyloco3 I believe walking outside of the house is proof enough that God exists. You can't look at the mountains and the ocean or heck, our human bodies, and think that it all just "evolved." Life is too complex for it to have just evolved. God made us in the image of himself. After death, those who believe in Christ and what he did for us, spend eternity in Heaven with no pain and no suffering, glorify God.

@spinalrupture 2 brothers and sisters are not genetically identical though identical twins are. Even then there is a genetic influence upon the brain and there is the influence of our experiences. Identical twins may share a large set of traits but they are not essentially the same because their experiences cause their brains to develop in different ways. We are more than just a product of our genes, we are shaped by life experiences.
