Cleaning liquids with detergent and solvents instead of water contain lots of air. If you begin radiating ultrasonics without degasification, the area between transducer plate surfaces and liquid surfaces will be covered with air bubbles after 10 seconds. This is called ultrasonic bursting phenomena or ultrasonic gas aeration. Mostly visible air bubbles are generated and 99.9% of ultrasonics are dissipated on the transducer plate surface, therefore ultrasonic cavitation is not produced.
@varsplut so then NO action would be transferred and i should not feel the needle like pain when i put my finger in it , nor would i see the surface vibrating . FAIL .
@TATTOOTRAINING What makes you think that the cavitation is causing this "needle-like" pain that you are alluding to?
The gunk that builds up in tatoo equipment is probably the easiest (and least important) thing to clean for any ultrasonic cleaner, therefore you don't need much efficiency. If you are cleaning medical or lab equipment though, that's a different story; and peoples' lives depend on it.

Thanks once again man. I thank you soooooooo f'n much man. Simple, detailed and right on point. Thanks again for saving me money and giving me the straight dope. Peace, Jon

@TATTOOTRAINING The loss of efficiency is also dependent on the quantity of detergent in the solution, which I never specified, nor did you.
The only thing failing here is your ability to use logic.

@varsplut that was a very hypocritical comment being your the one who was wrong
