  • This is simply amazing!

  • I wish you would slow this down. it is wonderful to see.

  • What a great video! Could you tell what was the exposition and ISO for a single shot? Because there are no blur at all, so I'm guessing that must have been 1/40 - 1/60?

  • so coooool!

  • in between 1:20 and 1:25 you can see the oil burn off jets on the right

  • For a very zen experience, have another window open with metamorphosis pt 2 by philip glass playing. It's on youtube also. It's very relaxing. To make it even MORE relaxing, at the same time as those two, have a third window with the rainymood website loaded. Then... fall asleep :)

  • Thanks for the comparison. They're brilliant pieces.

  • Truly an awesome video, especially considering darkness. Congrats on putting this together.

  • Wow! That's beautiful & mesmerising...

  • Wouldn't it be amazing if ships could move that fast? Imagine the tidal waves off the bow! lol

  • thats sick

  • "That's sick", how about "That Sucked"

    and no it didn't suck!!!!!!

  • It occurred to me that you could put a soundtrack to this: the music from the Star Gate sequence in "2001: A Space Odyssey."

  • Remarkable! It brought back memories of the days when I worked in Baytown...

  • great timelapse!

  • at around 0:15 seconds there is a UFO in the sky omg!!!

  • "a seagull is photographed in the upper left quarter making a bright flash - several people asked what that was." (as read on flickr)

  • yeah Thnk you right There is atleast a big flash

  • jes

  • should put some funky music with this one.

  • Really impressive and very well produced.

  • The Fred G. Hartman bridge @ 2:46, in Baytown Tx., that is a really good view of it

  • And the US absorbs all the CO2 we emit.

  • This is amazing.

The only thing that's missing is music.

You should try Jon Hopkins - "The Low Places"

  • I had a cousin get married in Houston. The reception was at Brady's Landing. We got to watch tugs turn something a bit smaller than this around in the Houston Ship Canal

  • More! More!

  • did a trip like that too at night and out to sea. definitely takes the balls and is a real cool experience. would be nice if you had the part with the sun coming up. great video. thank you.

  • Thats Cool, i made somesimilar video with ny Sony R1

  • I'll admit, I was kind of hoping for some annotations - "that's 610, that's the beltway, we're passing the Texas City Dike..."

    In any case, gorgeous.

  • Well the video starts up at the City Docks 0:40 - 610 Bridge 0:54 - Lyondell Turning Basin 1:10 - Crown Bend 1:44 - Jesse Jones Bridge (aka Beltway 8 bridge, aka 2 dollar bridge) 2:13 - Battleship Texas 2:17 - Lynchburg Ferry Crossing 2:20 - Peggy's Lake 2:37 - Baytown 2:46 - Fred Hartman Bridge 2:58 - Morgan's Point From then on it's Galveston Bay
  • Thanks!

This is a very interesting video.

  • something streak at the top right corner ish coming from the bottom of the screen

  • I agree with lolcat18, The Killers' "Goodnight, Travel Well" would be a good choice.

  • needs some music... cool video though! :)

  • The object in the sky at 0:15 is a seagull he photoshopped into the picture.

  • Great video, does anybody know what that is in the sky at 15 seconds?

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to put it together.

  • This has been up for two days now, and got 39,000 views! Kudos!

I see I'm not the only one who's crackers for good slo-mo. This was fabulous. Thanks. :-)

  • yea bro we all love slo-mo but tell me what was that at 0:15 in the sky...?

  • Holy UFO, Batman! I totally missed that one. ٩๏̯͡๏)۶

  • Geez NOM even in slow-mo you missed it lol

  • umm slow-mo is the other one nom.. as in slow-motion

    this is quick mo.. lol

    ;-)

  • ejbh3160 - OMG! Um...I knew that! :D

I have a playlist called "Timelapse and Slo-Mo". I just got momentarily confused. (Lack of Cheetos or something, I dunno...)

  • Cool video. Glad you didn't add cheesy music. What I would love to hear on this is your narration of the trip Landmarks, bridge names, info about vessel, etc.

btw, why no lights on bow? seems dangerous, but I don't know your profession.

  • 2:46 is great! Lucky you did not have a collision. How did you get the camera to take pictures at these intervals. Camera seems to be mounted outside the wheelhouse.

  • which camera?

  • to the host: please search youtube for Adiemus - Adiemus and listen to it, perhaps you'll find that track suitable for this vid.

  • what amazing..

  • ...... absolutely majestic

  • beautiful!

  • where is in the world is this?

  • Nice video, but some audio / background music would make it even nicer.

  • Awesome work! You should put some chiiling music into this one.

  • Excellent work LouVest.

  • Just beautiful. I've been trying to talk a laker company into letting me film from the deck like that. No luck yet. Do you work for one? How'd you get on board?

  • Very cool

  • I wonder if the low shutter speed (Im guessing low since it was night) caused any blurness since the ship was moving.

  • PERFECT!!!

  • Wow, awesome!

  • It needs music.

  • 00:15 lol so cool

  • Really nice vid, cheers.

  • the truth is out there and is at 00:15

  • wow this looks awesome! nice vid, i love the lights...that place is huge!

  • if other countries where as big as the USA, youd be blaming them too... the usa is the biggest pollutant country because its the biggest country by far as a whole.

  • many countries are bigger than the states , the staters are such ignorants it's like if nothing was outside their country, but yes youre the greatest polluters and NOT the biggest country

  • Only 2 countries are bigger land mass wise than the states(Russia and Canada) and 2 countries that are more populated than the states(China and India). Point is the states being one of the most advanced nations in the world is obviously going to be polluting more. Also: Rank Country Tons of Carbon per person 1 Qatar 20.05 2 United Arab Emirates 10.36 3 Kuwait 8.69 4 Guam 7.76 5 Bahrain 7.66 6 Singapore 7.04 7 United States 6.04 8 Luxembourg 5.69 9 Brunei 5.28 10 Australia 5.19
  • 911reset: yeah the USA pollutes alot (India and China are 1 and 2) most of it under Bush. However how you gonna slam the USA then slam apple. Last time I checked the USA developed Apple, Windows and EVERY system that currently run on personal computers?

idot I bet you are using windows right now. The USA has its problems but so does every nation. So suck this USA cock

  • @socalkickboxer

ROFL! what??? are you serious? because im using windows i should cut you idiots some slack? hahahaha. jeez, such an argument, gringo. no wonder bush got elected, not once, but twice.

  • 00:13 and 00:15 what are they?
