It's ironic that I was more exposed to Jose and Panchito more to this show than Saludos Amigos and Three Caballeros. The latter I only watched once, and the former I never watched at all.
The original voice actors for Jose and Panchito were so much better but its nice to see the Three Caballeros actually are remembered by Disney. I think Disney never capitolized on the Three Caballeros and they could have become pillars of the whole fanchise but, then again, maybe they're a cult thing and not main-stream, who knows?
in spanish the III at the and of his name rimes with quintero and junipero, so it would be better if he said Panchito Romero Miguel Junipero Francisco Quintero Gonzáles Tercero, not Panchito Romero Miguel Junipero Francisco Quintero Gonzáles the third
@kc86er No, panchito's mom's brother is the bucket of KFC. Panchito doesn't mention that he has a brother. Not being mean just explaining the song a bit.
But, I know this is going to sound trivial. Why don't we see a lot more of Panchito and Jose? We don't get to see Panchito's guns, but we get to see Jose's umbrella.
@Pooleman96 There's also the fact that Panchito didn't have his guns throughout most of The Three Caballeros, either. They were only in the Three Caballeros song, and disappeared afterwards (intentionally according to the original model sheets). Panchito's nickname of "Pistoles" seems to have disappeared entirely in recent years, though. Panchito's the only one with only his first name on the wall of the Epcot ride.
@rmonsen100 True. Personally, as cool as the guns were whenever he shot off celebratory rounds, Panchito doesn't need them all the time to be a fun character.
@Pooleman96 And apparently I am incorrect about the name "Pistoles": America never officially used that name with Panchito! It was only in South America (and in Mexico it was changed to the gramatically-correct "Pancho Pistolas").
@rmonsen100 The Character that is Panchito where based on the mascot of a Military University in Mexico in the Second World War the Name of this Mascot Were Pancho Pistolas
@shadowgirl9891 They original trademark which made them was Panchito's guns and Jose's cigar. They also changed their colors some. Jose had a brownish red that made look like more of a roaster and his gloves was gray. Jose had a very light green feathers(skin), spoke differently.
So, to sum up:
Panchito=his first name
Romero=dad's best man
Miguel=his dad
Junipero=mom's favorite brother
Francisco Quintero=priest who married his parents
Gonzales=last name
Panchito Romero Miguel Junipero Francisco Quintero Gonzales!

José Carioca looks strange in this outfit, he always wore shorts and a hawaiian shirt in the comics I read as a kid.

I can understand the first half of the song but I can only make out bius and pieces of the second half.

@shadowgirl9891 Simple reason why Panchito doesn't appear to have his guns: political correctness. :/
