If you want to see the film Black Swan really ripped off, watch "Etoile" once starring Jennifer Connelly. That is... if you can find it. It's very rare. I don't really think they ripped off Suspiria that much. Just because it's dark, and there's ballet in it?

And emulating the brilliant works of great film makers (like Argento) is hardly a first. It happens all the time. His fingerprints are all over the horror genre now, for video games (survival horror) as well as films.

@JunmaiShu I agree with you about Etoile. People tend to find similarities between this film and Suspiria/The Red Shoes/Perfect Blue but really, I felt that Etoile was more similar. Personally, I think Black Swan is the better film but Etoile is very expressive with its set pieces and surreal finale which I like.

I knew it the moment i watched it. The disco scene is pure Argento, anyway.
