Lord Alfred Hayes was terrible. I miss Gorilla Monsoon though, what a legend. Gorilla and Heenan were classic. Actually, Gorilla and Ventura at WrestleMania VI may have been the best single PPV commentary ever.
Damn, I was hoping they'd introduce ALL 40 GUYS one-by-one with full music and height/weight, everything. And just make the audience SIT THERE for 30 minutes while they did it. Then they'd say they were out of time and had to cancel the match when they got done.
Well, that's what would happen if Andy Kaufman was booking.
koko b ware? skinner?! MONEY INC?! fucking awesome. btw this announcer botched the fuck out of this, she didnt even say bret harts name, either she got the order wrong, or whoever sent the dudes out had it wrong.
the best I can tell with eliminations- and I'm still missing lots of guys:
1-Joe Milano (by Berzerker); 2- unknown (by unknown); 3- Bob Knight (by unknown); 4- Bruce Mitchell (by Jerry Sags); 5-Dublin Destroyer (by Kerry Von Erich); 6- black wrestler/ red trunks (by Von Erich); 7- Steve Martinez (by unknown); 8- Chris Johnson (by Von Erich); 9- Bob Starr (by blonde w/white boots); 10- JA Gooden (by one of the Beverlys);
At 3:45 you can see Dublin Destroyer being eliminated but you do not see him entire the ring or hear his name being called and nobody acknowledge him (he is not even listed among the competitors in the match details).
Kind of strange as he was named as one of the favorites in another 40 man battle royal (of course it was even stranger they picked a jobber to be one of the favorites).
what kind of battle royal is this, more than half of the competitors are jobbers... it would have been interesting if superstars such as hulk hogan, randy savage, roddy piper, greg valentine, ultimate warrior, undertaker etc. would have been included...
I approximately started to watch wrestling at this period. I was 10 years old.
Back then, it was excellent family entertainment, they weren't taking us for turkeys as WWE actually do with its new PG era. The roster was awesome, as the gimmicks and the matches...
it's criminal how long Martel lasted, especially since this is Canada

lol Tornado got rid of most the jobbers single-handedly

That had to be the worst entrance ever. How about stick all the jobbers in the ring then announce the big boys.

That is the first and only time Bret Hart has worn black colored boots. Just an observation... lol
