  • see it is all about so and sos interpetation he says it mean this

she says no no no no it means this.

with the bible you go around and around in circles getting nowhere

  • Great video !! Wonderful demonstration of prayer. I love the hebrew song BTW !!

  • Hashem is true to his word. He said that the Israelites were his people when they agreed to the Covenant with Him at Sinai (Moses was their "representative" ... "agent" ... "broker").

El Shaddai/ Hashem will not replace them!

....Despite all the hopes and dreams of the Islamists, Mohammadians, and some of the "far-out" Christian sects (or cults)....

btw...Islam is not a "Covenental" religion. It was spread by the sword and the imposition of Sharia law on conquered lands.

  • Its funny because in isaiah 42n6 this translation ends the verse with nations. But a better translation would say gentiles. Now tell me what Israelite prophet was ever sent to the gentiles or considered a light for them. If you go down to verse 11 it says kedar will be rejoicing. Why is that? Could it be because the Prophet Muhammed is a direct descendant of Kedar from Ishmael.

  • 1-4 @Rashiyd82..

If you read Isaiah 42:11 in context (v.10-17) you will see that it is a song of praise to the Lord.

"10Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them. ...

  • 2-4 @Rashiyd82..

Isaiah 42:10-17...re: v. 11 in context (v.01-13 quoted) 11 Let the desert and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops....

  • 3-4 @Rashiyd82..

    Isaiah 42:10-17...re: v. 11 in context (v.01-13 quoted)

"...12 Let them give glory to the LORD and proclaim his praise in the islands. 13 The LORD will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.

  • 4-4 @Rashiyd82..Found @ biblegateway . com

    "LORD" = YHWH

Isaiah 42 reads like a Messianic prophecy to me.

What do you think "omedyashar" ?

  • Actually in 42:4 it says: He shall not fail nor be crushed, till he have set the right in the earth; and the isles shall wait for his teaching."

Not really the Torah which you have today, but the Law, the teachings of the Qur'an.

None of the covenants were nullified,we kept the commandments. It's now a new covenant.

  • @oombuddah I'd also like to add, the Torah....to all of the nations? Of course not.

The Law sent to all nations via a 'messenger' as stated in the Isaiah text is the Qur'an! Torah was only strictly for Israel.

After the Qur'anic Law has been established, and the end days are coming, then the Messiah will reign and salvation shall be attained from all nations of the earth in the form of Islam.

  • one of the beaties of islam is that it is Allah-centric.

all i hear from the jews is israel this and israel that.

and from the christians jesus this and jesus that.

i want to worship Allah, not israel or jesus.

yes the jews worship Allah, but still, life isn't about israel.

    la ilaha illAllah Muhammadun rasulAllah

  • If you know a Jew who talks more about 'Israel' than about the 'el' (G-d) in 'Israel,' then it's a sign that he may very well be misguided -- HE misguided, not the Torah.

To blast Torah-Judaism because of the ignorance of people who identify themselves as Jews is not sound.

I shouldn't blast Islam for the actions of 'muslims' who act contrary to Islam. Likewise with Torah-Judaism.

  • Every day a Jew is to say at least 100 blessings, each which are directed solely to the Almighty alone, and most religious Jews do this. The fact that one may not be hearing the Jew say the blessing just means that the Jew is saying the blessing in a low voice or in a way that doesn't stand out. It is impossible that a religious Jew speaks more of Israel than of G-d.

Allah centric - la ilaha illAllah MUHAMMADun rasulAllah.

Israel is not magnified as a prophet when we say "Shma Yisrael."

  • yousef, bro, i know very well you worship Allah, i don't deny that. now, as for isaiah 42, you say the servant is israel. and deut18 is joshua (like moses?). so, only banu israil must follow torah but goy can follow nuhi laws. this proves that everlasting covenant isn't about torah itself, but what is in common between nuhi and musawi laws - ie, faith in Allah and doing good works by following the prophet sent to you who calls to Allah. and quran confirms this convenant in 2.40, 2.63, 2.83

  • I pretty much agree... however, there is more than one everlasting covenant. The thing is, however, that one everlasting covenant can not / does not contradict an another everlasting covenant which already exists.

  • aha, but what makes you think there is any contradiction? do some of the laws that applied to the banu israil at a particular period of history equally apply to someone today? or do you mean something else? like makka and madina, for example?

  • Its funny because in isaiah 42n6 this translation ends the verse with nations. But a better translation would say gentiles. Now tell me what Israelite prophet was ever sent to the gentiles or considered a light for them. If you go down to verse 11 it says kedar will be rejoicing. Why is that? Could it be because the Prophet Muhammed is a direct descendant of Kedar from Ishmael.

  • @omedyashar

we may say Muhammad cause is the last prophet and sent directly for us as we do not see special or anything like that he same as Moses.

and the full is muhammad abduhu wa rasul

we say he is the slave to make sure no one put him higher than he is cause some people who saw him worshiped him while not knowing it.

and it is not Muhammadian Islam

Islam was Always islam u r confused do not be so arrogant as to thinking you have the truth when you cannot prove it.

    /watch?v=NOwA0v026wY

  • the land of israel was given to us by the creator himself and it is precious to our eye

  • the land was promised to all the seed of abraham and in the words of yousef himself in one video "it belongs to israel so long as israel follows teh commandments".....well, were they following the commandments, when it was established?

the muslims ruled the land justly for a long period - compare that with the rule of christendom and now jewry.

let the humble and intelligent ppl ponder!

  • omg

    go and bomb yourself

i wounder why i wasted my time talking to an asshole

  • Comment removed

  • very intelligent comment.

how can a waste of time wonder how he wasted time???

  • so who is this servant according to the jews?

it just seems to me the jews are in stubborn denial and the christians are in cloud cuckoo land.

  • Isaiah 42:6 - God Will Replace Israel-Covenant With Islam / Christianity?

Are u insane. A Yemeni rabbi read in Hebrew language from Psalm. He says that the Moses`s Torah will never be replaced!! lol

Wonder of wonders, a video which contradict itself.

  • another thing at Sela3 or Madinah Jewish tribes used to live prior to the advent of the prophet peace be upon him, what brought them to this place at the first place, and if they where the servant mentioned in is 42 >>why didn't they themselves achieve what the prophet had achieved and became a

LIGHT TO THE GENTILES...thank you and kind regads

  • There is no doubt regarding the intended identity of the one referred to throughout this chapter, just as he is referred to throughout the entire Book of Isaiah.

The servant in 42:6 is called a 'light of nations' why? (v7) "...to open blind eyes, to bring out the bound from the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness from the prison-house."

    ....continued...

  • ...continued here...

Verse 18 is for you, "Hear, o' deaf ones, and look, you blind ones, so that you may see: Who is blind, but My servant? Or deaf, as My messenger that I send? Who is blind as he that is at peace, and blind as the LORD'S servant? They see many things, but not observing; Opens ears, but he hears not."

IF the servant were Muhammad, then apparently he wasn't sinless as so many muslims think.

    ...continued...

  • Then verse 24 explains what the servant (ISRAEL) wasn't listening to -- "they don't listen to His Torah."

    This is the theme throughout the Book of Isaiah. The people of Israel are suffering because they violated Torah. They are still the "Servant" because the Torah-covenant still holds true, it is still valid;

    ...continued...

  • The purpose for which the people of Israel were selected and made into a people -- this purpose still holds true. Just because they violated Torah doesn't mean they're free to continue violating the covenant of Torah. They must repent.

Sometimes "servant" is applied to individuals, but sometimes, as here, it is figuratively applied to groups. Sometimes it only applies to the righteous among Israel; other times to all the people of Israel; again, context makes it clear.

  • ok! so what would you say about the myriad of opinions within Jewish people that counts Is 42 as a prophecy regarding the Messiah (who allready came)!? they don't say (The Servant) is Israel, rather they say he was the Massi7 or Moshiach?! so your understanding of this verse is not a unanimous among Jewish people after all?!

  • I don't know who the myriads of the Jewish people are, who consider Is. 42 as a prophecy exclusively of the Moshiya7 (Messiah). Is. 42 CERTAINLY includes the Messiah, b/c the people of Israel will only be permenantly restored under the leadership of the Messiah.

[This is besides the fact that you and I BOTH know that an opinion isn't true just because it is what all or most Jews think, although this is not the case here.]

  • "IF the servant were Muhammad, then apparently he wasn't sinless as so many muslims think".... what does this have to do with the verses?! and what do you mean by sinless?! and according to that were the prophets in the bible sinless or not?!

  • I'm sorry my comment was not clear to you. Sometimes YouTube mixes up the order in which the comments appear... and sometimes in order for a comment ot make sense, we must be able to see a comment which preceeded it. If the order was changed, this can be confusing. I should make another video further clarifying.

  • What brought Jews to Madina in the first place? The Romans expelled Jews from the Holy Land ["Palestine"], to various countries. This was a result of the people not keeping Torah unconditionally. Despite being exiled from the Land, the Almighty continually promised through the prophets that He has not cast the people away, nor abandoned His side of the covenant. The prophets prophesied that when Israel returns to keeping Torah, the Almighty will restore them as a nation to the Holy Land.

  • Regardless of whether there is historical pre-Islam monotheistic uniqueness to Medina or Mecca, this can not be proved by the fact that Muslim literature reports Jews having lived in those places. Jews at that time lived in many places throughout the Middle East, as well as in France, Persia, etc... There had even been a Jewish kingdom in Yemen well before Islam reached Yemen.

  • Even Jews of this day now about the fact that Jews lived in that area in particular... the Jews of Yemen migrated there because a Jewish kingdom existed there, in Madinah all Hadiths show many signs that the Jews at that time where anxiously awaiting someone ; namely a prophet..probably the one mentioned in Deutronomy...

  • Religious Jews everywhere, always anxiously awaite a prophet and the Messiah: the prophet Eliyahu (see Book of the Prophet Malachi) and the Messiah.

I'm not debating whether there were Jews in Mecca and Madina. I do believe that there were Jews there... I simply don't know any other evidence for this other than Islamic literature.

  • if you find it difficult to accept the evidence of Hadith for the existence of Jews in Madinah then you might as well not agree there was any prophet at all for this is only relayed in ISLAMIC literature! if you check the Jewish Encyclopedia or something similar you'll find something mentioned about this...

  • don't you agree that the people before Islam used to be, by Jewish laws considered Polytheists and after Islam all this disappeared and God the Allmighty was the only one worshiped and his name called every where through the Athan and through prayers..isn't this the first commandment given by God to Moses(Peace upon him):"Do not worhip any other god beside God.." No God worthy of Worship But Allaah(whom you call Elohim or El)!

  • jmahdi78 - Do you think that God would waste his time splitting the sea to give the Jews a Torah that he knew would get corrputed ?

  • I'm not on about this topic at the moment! but if mention this, can you explain these verses to me: Deut 31:28,29:"............For I know that after my death you are sure to become utterly corrupt and to turn from the way I have commanded you. In days to come, disaster will fall upon you because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD and provoke him to anger by what Your HANDS Have Made." what did their HANDS make?!" who inspired Moses(Peace be upon him) to say this?!

  • sorry starting fro Deut 31:26-29: "Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God. There it will remain as a witness against you......."

  • jmahdi78 - 1. where does it say that the Torah will be corrupted ? ... 2. The covenant between God and Jews is an ETERNAL one ... why would God make an ETERNAL covenant if they would not fulfill their mission ? 3. Explain why if the Torah was corrupted by the Jews they do NOT have membership drives like the Muslims and Christians and DISCOURAGE conversions ?

  • There textual variations in Torah manuscripts, preserved among OPPOSING groups of people (including non-Jews) prove that there is no objective basis for claiming that Torah is lost. The significant difference between Jewish and Samaritan Torahs is an addition of a few words in only 3 verses (the prophets, & even Islam, support the Jewish version - the Samaritan Torah gives no significance to al-quds / Jerusalem).

Textual variants in Jewish Torah is LESS than variant readings of the Quran!

  • - here we're not referring to adding or taking away of words. We're talking about variations in the pronuncation of only a hand full of words.

  • variations in the Qur'an are in PRONUNCIACION but still have the same meaning. As for the Tanakh it's not only a matter of this; for sure you know about the other different traditions of Jewish Scriptures and you mentioned the Septuagint and the Samaritan Tanakh's variations.

  • .......But even in the the accepted one amongst Jews of Today...there are VARIATIONS in words, Names of People and numbers...so the Qur'an is not in the same category as the OT, and you'll not find even in the oldest manuscripts a diffirence of a WORD which changes meaning or context .

  • The Septuagent was NOT preserved by Jews. Samaritans do not have a Tanakh, nor do they accept Tanakh. Again, incase there is confusion in the matter, Tanakh and Torah are not the same thing.

Tanakh refers to the Torah, the books of the prophets (Na) and the other holy writings (KH). Torah is only the "T" in Tanakh. Jews do not understand the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) in the way Christians do. I should really make a video on this topic. It is a common misunderstanding.

  • I know Torah Neve'im vi Ketuvim, I mentioned them separately because there are names and number variations within Torah in one hand And variations withen the Tan''kh in the other hand.

e.g. Choten Moshe-peace be upon him was he: R3uel Exod 2:18 , Yithro Exod 3:1

also Number 33:38 Vs Deut 10:6 (Where did Aharon peace be upon him die?!)

Gen 36:11,12 Vs Gen 36:15,16 (How many children did Eliphaz have?! six or seven?)>>>> with Torah

  • >>above was WITHIN Torah some differences also between masoretic and Septuagent and Shmroni as well but as you said the are NOT considered by Jews generally. In the Tanach in the other hand there are some variations in numbers such as:

    2 Sam 8:4 Vs 1 Chron 18:4(war booty count)

2 Sam 8:9-10 Vs 1 Chron 18:9-10(To3i Vs To3o and Hadoram Vs Yoram)

And 2 Sam 6:23 Vs 2 Sam 21:8 (Did Mikal have any children or not?!).. thanks

  • Textual variants in reference to the Jewish Torah in contrast to the amount in the Quran was in reference to PRONUNCIATION, just as you say.

There are no added or missing words, changed names of people, places, numbers, etc... among the variant readings of Torah preserved among Jews. The variation is of the same type as in the Quran - in pronuncation. Only difference - in the Torah it is a smaller number of variation in pronuncation.

Torah and "nakh" in Tanakh are NOT the same.

  • ...and I do not know of variations of word meanings, names, and numbers, even among texts of the Tanakh preserved among JEWS. --- I suppose it is possible, but I am unaware of such.

All the books of Tanakh are NOT equal to Torah in purpose or holiness, although they are all holy and have purpose -- it is less than that of the Torah... and the practices of Torah-'Judaism' are based on Torah. The giving of everlasting commandments is only in the Torah - not in the other books of Tanakh.

  • "there it will REMAIN"

  • If Jews really corrupted the text, why didn't they remove all places which mention their wickedness? These would logically have been the FIRST places they would remove. Makes no sense.

Chp. 30 already taught us that after Israel's rebellion, they would return to keeping the SAME commandments (SEE "THE REPENTENCE OF ISRAEL = Different Religion?") If Torah had been destroyed, nullified, or replaced, this wouldn't be possible. The prophets taught that a righteous remnant would always remain.

  • The prophets of the Almighty have themselves defined what the "works of your hands" refers to here.

Jeremiah 25:7 "Yet you have not harkened to Me, says YHWH, that you shall provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands."

By what works of their hands?

The previous verse (25:6) stated that it was with idolatry. And Jerem. 44:8 again confirms it:

  • Jeremiah 44:8 -

"...you provoke Me to wrath with the works of your hands, by burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt..."

Deut. 31 one says that the Torah will be a witness against them when they do these wicked acts. A Torah that does not exist can not act as a witness. In Jer. 25:7, Torah acted as a witness against the works of their hands -- and Jer. was still able to quote the Torah (interestingly, despite some people's [mis]understanding of Jer. 8:8 - see related videos).

  • If the wicked works of their hands was corruption of the text of Torah, then wouldn't this have been the place for Jeremiah to mention such? ...especially if the common 'muslim' [mis]understanding of Jerem. 8:8 was correct.

For more info on Jerm. 8:8, look up

"Bible Corruption Is a Vain Thing" on YouTube.

  • this witness lies in the ark of the covenant (which is lost at the moment)! i.e. as given from God the Allmighty to Moses -peace be upon him-

  • Monotheism was spreading voluntarily and peacefully by means of Jewish messengers, long before Christianity and Islam. This was one of the things that the Greeks and Romans hated, and one of their reasons for outlawing conversion to Judaism and eventually attempting to wipe Jews off the face of the earth. After the Romans expelled Jews from the Land, Jews generally refrained from proactively "missionizing" non-Jews, in order not to be killed.

  • what greater event that had occured in arabia and specially Mecca(Bacca) and Madinah than the advent of prophet Muhammad and the aboilition of 360 Idols being worshiped by the inhabitants of that land, what other song but the Adhan(Call to prayer) that, since then and until now can be heard in all muslim lands PRAISING the Lord and calling people to worship..didn't the laws or TORAH of Islam reach Islands east and west ?! didn't the message take people out of idolatry to the worship of God?!!

  • regarding Kedar and Sela3: someone can't just dismiss the mention of those two places in a prophecy in a Jewish scripture for few reasons:

*Kedar being ONE of the twelve sons of ISHMAEL.

*Kedar is the common ancestor of the Arabised arabs of Meccah and its surrounding, Kedar is also the great ancestor of our prophet peace be upo n him.

*Sela3 is the name of the famous mountain in the centre of prophetic time Madinah (Yathrib), and it still bears the same name.

    >>>>>>

  • what you'd mentioned regarding "My Servant" being an allusion to Israel as a nation as in is41 or is 43 is acceptable but to say this applies to is 42 "entirely" can't be very true; for if you read the characters of My Servant mentioned here:"He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out." is 42:2,3 . here clearly the characteristics mentioned are not off a "Nation" rather an INDIVIDUAL.....

  • Throughout history, Jews as a whole have not made an out-cry against their oppression. This continues to be the case for the majority of religious Jews. Most Jews who are politically active are secular leftists who are, according to Torah, cut off from the people of Israel (until they repent).

Muhammad used war to spread Islam (I'm not belittling Muhammad by stating this - idolatry must be destroyed) -- on the whole, religious Jews have always remained passive, till this day.

  • Islam didn't spread by war and the proof for this that you can still see JEWS and CHRISTIANS in MUSLIM lands who'd been living there for centuries! while we don't see this in lands conquerd by Christians for example!!

  • The link didn't work, but the queenofsheba website includes articles by all kinds of people, Muslims included.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few anti-religious archaeologists made such claims, but I know that's not the mainstream view among archaeologists -- neither in Israel nor anywhere else in the western world.

  • remove the spaces in the link.

  • The Hebrews and the Arabs are the same people. It is a matter of metathesis in linguistics. Arabic is advanced hebrew. Bani-Israel was an Arabic tribe and the nations were the surrounding tribes. Mecca is Jerusalem and the Kaaba is the house of God in the grassless valley of Baca. Now all the tribes come to Mecca to worship the God who spoke to Moses and give to him sacrifices and go up Mt.Zion(Arafat). Mohammed is a gentile and the last prophet to unite all the hebrew/arabic tribes.

  • The Amalek resided in Mecca and was fought by Bani-Israel.

  • Jerusalem of Palestine is the daughter of Jerusalem. Mecca is the mother. Do you really think the house of God will be destroyed and not be rebuilt for thousand of years?

  • The Muslim Hajj is similar to the Jewish Hag if not exactly it. It is a feast unto the Lord.

  • We both know that the Almighty does not need a house, nor does He need or occupy time / space. We call the place of centralized international worship His "House" because it is at that location that the world comes united in worship and knowledge of Him. It is called His "Dwelling" because the place is especially dedicated to His Service. The place has not been bare for thousands of years. The 'Dome of the Rock' and Al-Aqsa are there...

  • ...it's just that these buildings aren't built properly according to the commandment of the Almighty as contained in His Torah.... but then again, neither is the Ka'aba in Mecca.

  • What about from 66 AD till the Dome? A wasteland. Where were the Jews back then? Why didn't they fight Rome and build the temple? There was no Kingdom of Solomon in Palestine. The Canaanite, the Israelites and the Philistines were all in Arabia. The Hebrew scriptures is Arab history. Thats why they are nomads and shepherds.

  • You don't know about the Bar-Kokhba revolt? About the expulsion of the Romans? About how paganism was inforced in the Holy Land? Jews weren't even allowed in Jerusalem until Muslims took control.

  • Yes, but there is no evidence whatsoever of a King Solomon there. You have to separate pre-babylonian Israelites from post-babylonian Jews.

  • King Solomon is pre-babylonian. And correct, there is distinction between pre-babylonian and post-babylonian... but I'm not certain of in which way you intend that a separation be made.

  • geography. the idea that Israelites resided and built a Kingdom there is unintelligible.

  • What makes you think this?

  • Israeli archaeologists!

    queenofsheba. info/files/part-2. pdf

  • Can you viewers let me know whether the video progresses too quickly? While making the video in Window's Movie Maker, it seems to go at a good pace... but then when I viewed it as a wma file, it was flying! That was after I had already uploaded it. For some reason, when I view it online, it is back to the slower pace like it was when I viewed it in Window's Movie Maker.

...Is it going to quickly on your sides? Or is it an acceptable speed?

    Thanks a lot.

  • It is no harship to stop the film for a few seconds to see the words.

As others say, there really isn't a sensible interpretation other than yours.

  • I really can't see how anyone could come up with the idea that Isaiah 42:6 suggest that God's covenant with Israel would be replaced. The text is straightforward enough. Oh, the superficiality of some who presume to interpret the Scriptures! They read in what they want to read and ignore what they don't want to read, or have on blinders that effectively prevent them from seeing what they don't want to see in the first place.

  • ...and so you are among those who, as I posted in the 'more info' field, "understand why 'our mouths were filled with laughter,'(Ps. 126)... and 'He who is in the heavens laughs.' (Ps. 2) Those who accuse Israel of corrupting the Word are the very ones who are most guilty of this crime.

  • You might be interested to know that the Syriac-speaking Church (Syriac is a dialect of Aramaic) regularly used the word *`ammaa* 'people' (singular) to refer to Israel and its plural *`ammee* to refer to the gentile nations. (Unfortunately, there is a lot of virulent anti-Jewish rhetoric in Syriac literature.)

  • That's very interesting. Thanks for sharing the information. Is it possible to know how you're aware of this?

  • I am currently working on my doctorate in Semitic languages at the Catholic University of America (although I am not Catholic). I am majoring in Syriac and minoring in Coptic. Ephrem the Syrian is a master of symbolic language and overall his poetry is awe-inspiring. But every now and then he has harsh anti-Jewish comments, like many Christians of his era and later. A recent book on the topic is (continued in next block...)

  • Oh yes, I am so immersed in this that I sometimes forget not everyone is familiar with Ephrem. He lived 306-373 CE. He was born and lived most of his life in Nisibis, a city on the frontier of the Roman Empire near Persia. The Romans lost Nisibis to Persia in 363, and Ephrem moved to Edessa for the last ten years of his life. His highest rank in the Church was deacon, and he was famous for bringing women into prominence in services, where all-female choirs sang his teaching songs.

  • ...is "Anti-Judaism and Christian Orthodoxy" by Christine Shepardson (modestly priced, ISBN 9780813215365). Actually, Ephrem often uses Jews as rhetorical substitutes for Arian Christians, whom he considered heretics. This is because Arians, like Jews, considered Jesus to have only a human nature, not a divine one.
