i know it different for some people, but try making the upper lip a little thinner than the lower, again, it may be like that for some characters, but most lips are like that. so try it out :) also, i love your drawing. good job!

@jakayah98 I always start with drawing eyes, everything else is adjusted to the position of the eyes :). But many people start with the shape of the face, it all depends where ur preference lays.

To be honest, what I notice about the problems you have drawing is that you outline everything. Realistic drawing, NEVER outline. EVER. Lines mean cartoon, shade things in, never outline then shade.

@kittiemill to be honest if i look back at the drawing now( one month later) i see soooo many mistakes, i guess as time goes i am getting better and better, mainly thanks to people like u who dont just inspire me but directly help me with constructive critics. I am tired of creating emotionless, robotic faces, but thats exactly how i have been feeling for a long time now, i guess what i am going trough right now will influence my future creations and hopefully in a good way :), thank u so much

@Riar2009 I didnt get accepted, but that's their loss. I still have hope for some art programs that the other highschools offer. But if you're going to highschool, or a freshman you can audition too! I know for a fact you can get in =)

@MissyMurdure totally, many great artist have been rejected by institutions etc, but that inspired them to become even greater. Very often after things didnt go as we wanted life brings amazing opportunities. So look out u might get one very soon, dont mis it :P And to be honest several art academies offered me their education, i just dont think its right for me. i hate the idea of becoming another "good drawer" there are so many people that can draw well, but their drawings look same.

@Riar2009 Is Hitler included in that list? Haha. He was rejected by an art institution in Vienna. He certainl moved on and became greater XD your choice of words just made me think of that. These vids are all very good. I don't think the face looks hugely realistic but that doesn't take away the fact that it's a breathtaking drawing so well done. :D

Yes he was a painter, and he became "great"eventually, not specifically in a good way though. But for a simple painter to achieve what he achieved its really impressive. BUT the horrors he caused in Europe they are unforgettable, huge scars in almost every country in Europe. :( Today i saw on French tv old footage in which Cristian DIOR ( yeah from the mode brand) was saying that Hitler has every right to do what he does: protecting his race. I am still shocked

@MissyMurdure like they all went to the same school, learnt the same methods. I rather develop my own methods, my own ways, draw like nobody else. So people would see my drawings/paintings and recognize the style, an say thats sooo Riar :) I want to create something new, do things that havent been done before, i know i sound unrealistic, but i have got this strong feeling that when the right moment comes, i will! :)

@Astrid257 ohh no, i dont add "real paint" to the drawing, Cuz there is too much pencil in the drawing!!! so it would mess up.

When u draw basic lines for paint-portraits, u should try to use light pencil and draw very thin hardly- visible lines. Cuz pencil shadows and lines shouldn't dominate the painting :).

I use digital paint to make the drawings colourful :)

This is NOT a realistic face. The portions are off, the depth of the nose is all off, the hair is flat, and you obviously don't know how highlights in eyes work. Maybe re-title this 'How to draw a beginner-grade face'.

When doing eyebrows concider that the beginning of the brow should be in a line equal to the nostrils. For example, take a pencil or something straight and hold at a line from your nostrils to the beginning of the eyebrow. That line should be straight or else you may have to erase some of it :)

@hdk8 same here :P i thnk cuz eyes are the hardest thing to draw, we focus and practice it way more often than other facial parts :P i have for example never even tried drawing ears before :P all my characters are girls with long hair so u never get to see the ears xD
