MilesSMB, I have a question. How do the Pikmin without you in the caverns return with you? I always thinked that Pikmin without you and not near the ship were lost. Can you answer me, please?
The flowers that give you extra pikmin confused me. I did this hole with about 70-ish pikmin, but had another 30-ish in the ground above ground (it totaled 100 above ground) then I came back with 80-ish pikmin but my count was still 100. I think I lost pikmin but I didn't pay attention to how much I had of which.
As a matter of fact, the port of Pikmin 2 to the Wii is just an advert for the series. Miyamoto wasn't referring to the same game. Pikmin 3 is still being made.

If you have too many pikmin when going back above ground, it puts the pikmin that are with you into the ship/onions until there's 100 out.

I was very disappointed that the Pikmin Miyamoto said he was working on was just a wii port of Pikmin 2 :(
